Digimon Seekers: Why It's Important to the Digimon Franchise 

I agree! Im so glad i got involved with this series! The pulsemon entramce was epic would of loved to see that animated . Deffo cyberpunk meets digimon! Do you think story is more for adult audience? Also i think very good the way they introducing Eiji they doing it well and not rushed.

This is a great direction for the franchise.

I'm pretty new to digimon and I'm curious to check out ghost game when it releases its English dub (have focus problems in regards to subbed anime for more than an episode or two) This concept wise sounds really interesting I'll prob listen to one of the English audiobooks here on RU-vid seems odd to me with how huge audiobook & audio content is here in the US/UK that they wouldn't release an English version, I could see this getting put on spotify or audible and doing pretty well with a lil marketing

Hey, I love your enthusiasm and pointing out some cool stuff about what we're getting so far, and also your shirt is cool. That said, I hate to put my hater hat on here, but the fact that people are hyping up this is...disappointing to me, as a lifelong Digimon fan. Is this really what the fans want? A barely readable machine translated web novel? I can read Japanese, and let me tell you, the writing is not very interesting to begin with, so to add the MTL stuff on top is just...sad. I understand that a lot of western fans wanted a more serious story from Ghost Game but...I would take the creativity, style, and atmosphere of that show over the absolute barebones stuff we're getting here. The characters are not compelling, and again the extremely plain (or, if you're reading in English and presumably Chinese Korean, broken) writing does not help this impression. The social commentary is not impressing me either, it's just a generic cyberpunk setting. The story may be leading somewhere kind of interesting, but if the execution is this, then...it sounds like fans would rather read a Wikipedia plot summary than actually experience a story. What drew us all to Digimon in the first place? It wasn't a mature, deep story, at least I don't think so. Tamers or even Adventure touched on dark themes, but that isn't what made them endearing. It's the sincerity and sentimentality of those stories, the willingness to take those kids and their emotions seriously, and also the wonder and intrigue of the fantastical, funny, strange, and sometimes horrifying Digimon universe. It wasn't that they had insane Game of Thrones style political conspiracies or plotting or "complex" themes or subject matter. I'm willing to accept that Digimon is evolving. Ghost Game was different, and despite it not being what I wanted exactly, I think I really appreciated what it was trying to do in the end. But Digimon Seekers is not it. What I want is more heartfelt, sincere stories and fantastical, weird worldbuilding. Not stories with lifeless characters, bland settings, and only the hint of "lore" or "mature themes" to keep us interested. It's not the plot, it's the execution!
