I don’t think this song gets enough attention. I love how it makes you feel like your against a far higher power as you can have a full team of Megas, but you can only slowly whittle down the knight’s health while a powerful chorus hits and the brass plays such a heroic tune. I also love the distorted and off rhythm trumpets you can sometimes hear, giving the impression of the something sinister within the knights’ ranks, causing turmoil and division.
Leonardo Farias Still a cool theme. It made fights against bosses like Examon much more memorable. I’m an advocate for Agumon in Smash and this is a theme I hope they would include.
Tobias Hogan Hacker’s Memory is significantly different from the original. Different story, different characters, different bosses, etc. The original has you fight like over 10 bosses with this theme.
I started Hackers Memory for the first time recently and holy hell the fact that you can have a full team of Mega's and still get stomped is a little terrifying honestly
The royal knights are basically the archangels of the god of digimon so yeah you should be shiting your pants when you fight one even with a team of megas as they're supposed to be megas among mega ranks
This theme really suits the Royal Knight, as it expresses fear and respect. It fits perfectly because most of the times, the RK are a group that only operates by higher orders (such as Yggdrasil) and they have a gray morale, only Alphamon being mostly the one to be even more gray to the group itself and doing things on their own decisions.
Well I had Belphemon RM which his special did serious damage to data type digimon alongside Lilithmon and Beelzemon in my team which killed most of the royal knight a while back.
Me: Hey, Teddy... That Examon over there interrupted our sleep time. And you know how we HATE being woken up when we don't want to, right!? 😈 *activates the alarm clock, changing my Belphemon from Sleep Mode... to RAGE MODE!* Let's show him what we do to those who do that to us... 😠😈 *Teddy, my Belphemon, roars in antecipation!*
the true Royal Knight fights is in the side quest, i will never forget the last RK fight of Alphamon Gallantmon and Omegamon where if Omegamon is the only one left he uses Transendence Sword to hit 7.5K
I remember that one the trick I learned that got me victory is save Alphamon for last. Basically KO Gallantmon first since he's the easiest to KO, then go for Omnimon 2nd sure it'd takes longer but it's worth an easier final round against Alphamon as leaving Omnimon the last one standing pretty much ensures you're about to be royally screwed due to powered-up Transcendence Sword that will one-shot your party if he lands a critical.
@film fan jesmons weltgeist move allowed me to barely beat Omnimon on my first try I wish I saw a guide for the fight first before I took it on though.
It's basically being in the villain(Diaboromon)'s pov from the Digimon Movie. That callback when i got Transdencant Sword spammed made me cry tears with nostalgia honestly.
@@zwartayatsukimercury5047 I don't really get it. You don't see people going around correcting Pokemon fans that Charizard is actually called Lizardon, so why do Digimon fans do this?
@@xXthevenomousXx As far as I am aware, it's because the Digimon dub is poorly done and very inconsistent. As an example, at one point in time both Bearmon and Chackmon were called Kumamon in the dub. Some games choose whether to use established dub names or translate the original names seemingly at random. - Digimon Savers: Another Mission (Digimon World Data Squad) uses dub names for Masaru and Thoma, but decides to utilize Yoshino's full name instead of Yoshi. - Digimon Story (Digimon World DS) doesn't care and just uses Japanese names for the Savers trio.
@@xXthevenomousXx Unlike Pokémon, in the Digimon franchise, Bandai Japan has never officialized the dubbing names on the Digimon, characters, terms, and objects. It even contains many inconsistencies and errors over time. In the case of Digimon, it is essential to respect the original names.
This music truly makes you feel as if your facing a powerful opponent, its even more effective when you have your own royal knight fighting against them. A sort of clash of titans if you will
I remember that storyline battle and he didn't kill himself the member of my party who got the final blow on him was Lilithmon using her signature finishing skill Phantom Pain. And I was imagining Lilithmon in that typical cocky seductive tone of hers telling Dynasmon before giving him what he deserves "Funny how in this situation me a so-called manipulative, treacherous, wicked Great Demon Lord is more noble and heroic then a so-called Royal Knight. The fact I pity you is both ironic, and pathetic at least I'll end your suffering by giving you a quick end Phantom Pain!"
This is very befitting of the knights cuz they are supposed to be absolutely terrifying absolute forces of nature a little sad this theme wasn’t in the knights battles in next order it would made fighting them even better! I personally adore these knights with my current next order play through using a crusadermon/lordknightmon which ever name you prefer
Digimon TCG has a new booster incoming. BT-13: Vs Royal Knights. GLORY TO THEIR KING YGGDRASSIL! GLORY TO THE ROYAL KNIGHTS! The most AWESOME digimon group!
@Arianz_april89 you're welcome, I come 2 months from the future to also reveal that Biden got caught with his pants down with illegal files so in 2 more months the world will be in a nuclear war
Is it normal that i DESPISE crusadermon as a character in Cyber Slueth? i get that her own world's being fucked over by eaters to the point where it's basically an unlivable hell, but her actions are just plain brutal. destroying a family, fucking with what remains of it and hell, her own actions harmed other digimon. all because she thinks the eaters are eden's fault and thinks she's a hero for tormenting mentally scarred teenagers for it. make it the third time in the digimon history that she's basically rebelled against her own people out of her own desires.
Oh, not at all, my dear! You are COMPLETELY ENTITILED to hate the bitch! 😌 In fact... In my case, I had such... Oo~ooh, but SUCH *A PLEASURE* to *BLOW HER AWAY TO SMITHEREENS* with my MetalGreymon!!! 😈🔥 After what she did to my waifu, Yuuko... And after all the evil she had wrought... Sorry for the language, but... *THE C$%T HAD TO DIE!!!* 😡
To be fair, she was fused with Kishibe Rie at that point, and it was stated that at least Kamishiro Satoru's murder was Rie's idea, not Crusadermon's. She was just as traumatized and tormented by having her mind constantly twisted and fucked with by Rie's thoughts as everyone else in that game. Doesn't excuse any of her crimes (especially killing Kamishiro Satoru and manipulating Ryuji and Yuuko), but she's a well-executed villain in my opinion. You hate her actions and feel that her end is deserved, but you get where she was coming from and what made her that way. Trying to defend your homeworld from monsters, but then turning into an even bigger monster in the process, only to realize it when it's all too late and your own stepdaughter is hellbent on killing you... That's the kind of storytelling I love in games, man. Also, considering Digimon Frontier... Crusadermon just has to end up being the knight that everyone hates in every story, I guess. Come here, baby, you will always be my fave Digimon villain, you horrible piece of shit. I just love villains who make you hate them but also kind of get them (but still hate them).
@@Rein377 Yeah, i consider Crusadermon as a character in Cyber Slueth being an mental amalgamation of the two, i'd put her up with ghetsis from pokemon in terms of how i love and hate them at the same time.
@@Rein377 Yeah I understand why she did what she still doesn't excuse any of her crimes especially what she did to Yuuko so it was still satisfying to see that Valkyrimon was the party member that finished her off with her signature finishing technique Fenrir Sword, and if we take the Digimon Data Book lore into account her sword the Fenrir Sword is said to be a cursed blade that can reach temperatures below Absolute Zero that she has the mental and spiritual strength to fully control. So yeah understand her actions but still felt Valkyrimon was in the right to finally bring her down using her "cursed" blade of ice.
remember (metaphorically) shittin' bricks once hard mode examon started one-shotting my team, that's when I adopted a "fire everything at the bastard and pray it's enough" strategy that was how my chaosdramon gained the title of "slayer of the dragon emperor"
Great theme. Too bad the Royal Knights in the story are such pushovers. Dynasmon literally kills himself every time I play. But the Great Challenges......
Examon was such a disapointment too. I didn’t know the first battle was an auto-lose battle (well, rather that the battle ends after a while) I had Mastemon use Chaos Degradation and saw it delt something like 7599 damage (25% of it’s HP) I was like Oh yes, finally a boss that will take a while to defeat. When I got to the second battle and used Chaos Degradation again, I was super disapointed to see it only dealt around 1500 damage, meaning the real Examon boss fight has 80% Hp less.
literly my beezlemon bm one shotted him and that is all it took for me to kill him ,no charge, nothing just straight "hey look at this pentagram boy and feel my corona destroyer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
@@NeoArashi I just recently beat Examon's fight with a RustTyranomon buff stack strategy. I kept spamming Imerialdramon's Attack charge whenever he got the chance, using Valkyriemon's turns to buff stack with attack items, then launching Terror Cluster after Terror Cluster with RustTyrano. I dealt approximately 1.5K as the finishing blow thanks to a Xros combo with Arata. I believe it took me five Terror Clusters before he went down. Oh, and for a guy who took down Gallant in one shot and dodged all his attacks during their first encounter, Arata did like, just above 100 damage to Exa throughout the whole fight and took the most damage among the team. (not that it mattered since he was basically there to gloat about how strong he is.)
Eh, it might suck SP like a vacuum, but I crushed all Royals with my Titamon. His special is just so damn powerful, and its attack stat is even higher than my Blackwargreymon. And all in a Digimon I´ve never seen before, epic.
The Stat Boost and Item spam on my part made these battles(I'm talking about the late game ones, not the story battles) look like a cakewalk.Combine that with Grankuwagamon and Rosemon BM,They gave me little challenge.
I remember I got Crusadermon in a pattern where she will waste her turn removing the debuff I put on her with Diaboromon in the Hacker’s Memory side story before the game forced me out of the fight because plot.
I had fun attacking these guys with my precious Armie (what I named my Armageddemon) that I woked hard to raise and who deals 50% more damage to Royal Knights :3
Funny thing is, as long as the Armageddemon is active it also gives that 50% extra damage to Royal Knights to the rest of your active Digimon too, based on how support skills work
Found the game seriously lacking any real source of after game or even replay ability. Since the New Game + was just about keeping your current end game status, there didn't seem to be presented any form of challenge. And with the online battle being 100% random, kinda felt like it was merely luck of the draw. Even with a perfect set up. Not too mention the augmented difficulty that the game presented for Hard Mode: The Demon Lord challenges especially being just a complete "Suck It" fight if you didn't have at least one Royal Knight Digimon that can go 100% invulnerable to let them kill themselves. (here's looking at you Beelzemon) It felt like a complete disappointment. But simply because the enemy Digimon you are fighting possibly hits like a Truck, has double the normal HP and Defense stats that make them ridiculously tanky: doesn't mean much. Cause once you get to the point where you can play around the augmented difficulty (as in quickly level up) the defense and HP are all that remain as their attack stat drops and it just becomes a constant battle of attrition with no worries. I think the Final Boss was the only thing that gave a moderately difficult time, because it took a straight 10 minutes to whittle down its massive health pool, and that is mostly because of restoring TP and working around its vulnerability all the while it COULD NOT kill me due to every digimon having Perfect Aura - Perfect Revive - and several other abilities that made it so that you were literally in God Mode the whole time dealing 10 damage to 10,000HP characters because of this augmented difficulty if you didn't use specific Digimon that had Piercing Attacks. A great Digimon World DS game port, but even with the expansion later on that involved a secondary side plot story that had more digimon (including my favorite of Desdorugoramon) but it just couldn't really go anywhere: and it is the same problem I had with those games: "Gee, fighting this digimon that has 10,000 hp halfway through the game while I deal tick damage to it is really boring when it's doing tick damage to me in return because I leveled up: because Augmented difficulty makes the attack stat mean absolute crap." It was actually a huge problem for me in many other varients of gameplay in some of the other new digimon games too. Because who wants to sit around, against an enemy that has 10,000hp, you have max attack stat, but even your hardest hitting move only deals 50 hp until the battle is over and it is not even the final boss Meanwhile you have 3000 hp, 200-300 defense, and the enemy is hitting you for 10-50 damage as well....Why can't we get an actually DIFFICULT game like back in the day? Why do we need this handicapped augmented difficulty?
For anyone wondering where the last bit of the rant came from: Digimon Redigitize. A remake of the Tamagachi Remake that was Digimon World 1 on the PS1, but now for the PSP.
I was an absolute madman and wanted to finish the main story bosses of HM WITHOUT using a SINGLE digimon with PEN attacks. On Hard mode ofc. It was a... infuriating experience, to say the absolute least. Idk I have A LOT of complaints for the way the devs "balanced" the game. How piercing attacks pretty much trivializes most story content, but are COMPLETELLY NECESSARY for challenges and other stuff. How healing is enemy BEYOND unbalanced most of the time, how much bullshit speed pretty much every single enemy has. How most Ultra level digimon aren't even that strong compared to some other Mega level alternatives, in fact the lack of equipment slots often make them aguably WORSE to use in the story, compared to digimons that have a piercing attack + equipment slots.
@@sonny167349 Piercing damage (and to some extant, attacks that do fixed damage) makes Eaters way too easy. Like, they have incredibly high def and magic def, but their HP are so damn low that they can be one or two-shot with attacks that pierce defence.
