Gotta say that this game and your guides are keeping me chilled out during the UK lockdown...not being able to go anywhere is fine for me since it gives me time to invest in games like this.. Hey Karst :) I'm not going to lie, at first the learning curve tosses you off a cliff a few times. But once you get the hang of it, and you build up your Skills and City Digimon, it gets easier as you go. I think part of the initial challenge is what makes it most fun though, and is probably why I enjoy these kind of games as much as I do. You thinking of buying it?
The start is hard. Since you know jack shit. But after a few hours, most mechanics should be familiar to you and is easily automated. I have figured out ALOT of the mechanics in my first 3 hours of gameplay. Once you have a little experience the game gets super easy
It was hard for me at the start. It wasn't until I upgraded my city that it started to get a little easier for me. Which is why I only recommend this game to people who have the patience for it.
Nah I think the digi egg system is great how it is. I like the picking an egg and not really knowing what it’s going to turn into. And when you level up the digivolution dojo you can lock off other digivolutions so you can get the exact digi you want
There’s a way to force a lucemon and that’s by limiting his evolutions to just him using the dojo as the rookie stage is a guaranteed bat age and they will never die before it.

I also played through DW1 many times back in the day so thanks for making so many references to it in your videos. Brings such a great sense of nostalgia! Anyway, quick questions. 1. Does using a Digivolution item have any cons - I actually enjoy the training process, but feel like the items might be a shortcut that I’m supposed to use. If there’s no difference to stats etc I might as well use, right? 2. Are certain Digimon innately more powerful than others? I have favourites I’d like to choose each time but I wonder if they are less powerful. How can I find out which are the ‘best’ to aim for? If it’s harder to achieve through Digivolution, is it ‘better’ / more powerful or just rarer? If it’s just based on being more rare I might as well continue to choose my faves each time. That’s all. At first I wanted Agumon and Gabumon but their stats are too high to get them in the first generation. That's why I chose two Botamon to train them to Agumon (Black), Greymon (Blue) and MetalGreymon or SkullGreymon. Fire is too good at the start of the game against all this Plant types, especially with all this STR, STA and HP training.

just bought this game today! went with Gigimon and Tanemon...got Palmon and Solarmon(uh) I'm gonna watch all your tip videos due to the fact that I'm coming straight from Cyber Sleuth ( my favourite DigiGame ever). The battle system is a little bit confusing tho :)

Ah it happens to us all Bailey, I feel your pain friend. You will end up with some random Digi's in the beginning but this becomes a lot easier to manage as you get further into the game. Hope that you're having a better time of it now and that things are going smoother. Cheers!

iirc the barriers are I believe are 10, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100. I'm not 100% sure if that's completely accurate but that should give you a general idea of the marks you need to hit. There might be more inbetween them as well.
I'm gonna buy this game soon. Just watching some "tutorials" so I Don't feel like a complete idiot as this is basically my first digimon game and I've heard mixed reviews
Cool, well I hope you pick up a couple of tips here Anthony! For your introduction to the franchise, this game will probably be challenging. That being said, once you learn the ropes it can feel very rewarding as a result :) The game can feel a little grindy at times and will probably take a bunch of hours for you to properly get into. I had a blast with Next Order and have played through it twice- the second run was a Let’s Play, which can be found here on the channel. If you need anymore help deciding whether you are gonna pick this up or not, then some of our first few Eps might help you decide. Let’s us know how you get on either way dude. i went and picked nyaramon and tanemon i wanted nyaramon to digivolve to renamon and instead it digivolved to snow agumon i did not care what tanemon digivolved to i just wanted nyaramon to be renamon i had to start a new game and the same thing happend i got a snow agumon.
It can take a while to get the Digimon you want. Each time a Digimon dies it will be reborn a little stronger then before. My favorite is Hackmon, but it took till post game to get one.
hey Wolfy could you make a video covering the high tension abilities of the different Digimon? I know it's a lot of work but I can't seem to find any other sources for it. having the Increase Max HP + Recover Half is AWESOME and I wanna know which Digimon will get it. Thanks a million in advance!!

Am I correct in saying that the high tension ability is the one in the center of the command wheel whilst in battle? If it's possible to boost and recover HP using this, then I am massive Noob. I'll try to look into it a bit more and if I find anything, you'll be the first to know! Sorry I can't be much more help right now!
Yeah that's the one! I find some of them very useful. I'm only aware of some Digimon having the ones like 'Increase max HP + recover half', 'Increase max MP + recover half' or 'Gradually recover HP' so its basically free healing without the need for healing chips. Thanks so much for the help!!
I just got this game, love veemon but can’t seem to get him from either to eggs? They either digivole befor I get the stats up or digivole without my control?
After a few days your baby digimon will digivolve automatically into rookie form, even if you haven't achieved the stats for a specific rookie. This is giga annoying in the beginning but it gets much better later. You'll unlock perks in the skill tree making your digimon live longer between digivolutions (thus giving you more time to get the stats you want) but you'll also unlock a cool function later that will allow you to block off digivolutions that you do not want. This will also help stop you from turning into the same digi's over and over again. Hope this helps Renzo. Also got a fully edited lets play of the game on the channel if you need more tips. This is the dumbest thing ever of choosing an egg. I choose the egg bc i wanted Gatomon but got Snow Agumon. I wanted Gabumon but got the Psych version. Thank you for your video cause i am new to this game and was like WHAT???!!!!
Whats your advice early on, Ie i've now got a champion digimon and my other one just hatched in a new egg, so unsure where I should go to train when they are at different levels.
Kinda curious about the constant shitting on the Goblimon variations, but it's still funny regardless. I may have actually unlocked the Keramon egg now, but I'm finding it really hard to let my current partners go =(
If I'm being honest, it's easier to make peace with Goblimon angst once the lil fellow has stabbed you in the back a few times. Have you ever been hoping for a Guilmon digivolution, only for this flamingo to appear on your screen? I've never been ran over by a train before, but adopting a surprise Goblimon probably generates a similar emotion.
To be honest, yes, I have had something like that happen to me once or twice in the past. Doesn't mean I hate it though, just means I didn't do a good enough job (and didn't have the Dojo's blocks active at the time but that's another story)
Also, you said that you were finding it hard to let your current partners go? Those Digisnakeheads you mentioned on the Fishing video might come in handy in more ways than one. I can see it now: 80 hours into the game and your partners are still Gen 1... "I will never let go my friends!" 'Proceeds to stuff the 10th fish of the day down their throats'.
Sadly, they did eventually pass away =/ Have a ClearAgumon and Keramon now, but I couldn't bring myself to rename them Arelin and Carnax respectively. The two just did so much damn work as Omnimon Zwart D and Gallantmon Crimson Mode that I can't bring myself to use the same names again
I come back for digimon specifically so I haven't seem much of your content but I wanna give some kind criticism. Your thumbnails for the last 4 years are identical
bruh how did you get your koromon that kind of stats, when I get my ultimate digimon that kind of stats they end up dying and I keep getting the same digimon over and over I don't understand.
Hey lone_wolf, sorry for the late reply. There's a couple of things you can do, so I'll try and explain them in a semi-organised manner that will hopefully be easy to follow. First of all, note that as you play more and more of the game- you will naturally unlock more tamer xp and therefore will be constantly upgrading your character. When you walk about, do battles and interact with your digi's you will naturally be earning tamer xp. With this xp, you can purchase and upgrade your tamer skills and thus get stronger. The tamer skills that allowed me to get my koromon to higher stats- were the Skills revolving around 'Rebirth' and also 'Stat Gains after Battle'. By training against enemies in the world (rather than training in the gym) your digimon will gain a lot more stats (assuming you don't get your ass destroyed). You have to find an enemy that is a little bit higher level than you but who doesn't completely one shot you. This will help you gain a lot more stats per victory. Once you combo this strategy with the 'Rebirth' tamer points, your Digimon will start to be born with much higher stats- thus reducing the amount of work you have to do later on. It's hard to discuss in a YT comment but the system isn't that complex once you get used to it. If you're looking for more examples, I have a bunch of guides here on the channel to help you with training. We also have a full Let's Play of the game on here as well. Once you get the rhythm of training down, you'll become a lot stronger and the game will become a lot more enjoyable as a result. In regards to your second point about getting the same Digimon, there is a function that you can unlock later in the game that helps you digivolve into the Digimon that you want and stops you from digivolving into the digimon that you don't want. This function is called the Dojo and is unlocked after Chapter 2. Best of luck friend, I hope this helps!
I feel you Jason. Things can feel a little grindy at times, especially on your 3rd or 4th generation of Digi's. You probably know this by now but there are some tamer skills you can pick up to negate this a little bit; the ones that increase rebirth stats? Even so, losing two strong guys and then starting again can feel a bit slow sometimes. I hope you're enjoying the game non-the-less dude!

@@MrW01FY the problem im having now is that my digis evolve long before they reach the stats you say they should. So they arnt strong enough to beat the next enemy on the list but dont gwt the right yields from the old enemy

I know this is a late reply, but As long as the Digimon as the minimum stat requirement, you should get the Rookie you want. Also, if you've unlocked the Dojo, you can block off certain Digivolution Routes. Another way to raise stats, is feed your Digimon the Fruit Basket from Seraphimon at the restaurant(provided you've recruited him?) Also, if you talk to SkullGreymon in the Entertainment District, he will boost your Baby and In-Training Digimon's Stats.
What's up Dan! When you say original, do you mean DW1? If so then yeah, I played that back in the day on PS1 but also play it on an emulator from time to time as well. Out of all the Digimon World games, DW1 is the one I know the best. I've played Redigitized but only a little as it was my friend's game. What about you?
yep, when i was younger i was all about digimon while everyone was all about pokemon. i know these games are no where near being master pieces but to me and one of my childhood friends have been waiting for a game like next order for at least 16 years lol and with that nostalgic feeling it makes my top 5 games of all time with soulsborne series being at the tippy top
No, I understand where you're coming from. When I picked up Next Order, I was a bit sceptical before playing it but I'm pretty sure that anyone who enjoyed the original will enjoy this one. I think the developers done a pretty good job at maintaining the strengths of DW1. The music alone is enough to set of the nostalgia alarm bells. Glad that you and your friend have been enjoying the game as much as I have!
After a few generations, your digimon will get stronger and your tamer skills will get better. As long as you keep training across many generations, your rookies will eventually inherit great stats, which will make you more powerful.
@@MrW01FY i kinda figured it out. Im actually start of chapter 4 and about to enter the next dungeon but my gen 3 were really old and they passed away. I wanted to raise agumon and gabumon before fighting Omegamon zwart d so I can have wargrey and metalgaruru. So naturally i just locked other evolution. Koromon somehow evolved into agumon even tho it didn't meet requirements yet

You need to fist unlock the Dojo, by recruiting Grapleomon from the Server Desert(Step Step). Then recruit Paildramon in MOD Cape, and he unlocked the ability to DNA Digivolve your Digimon. Get the Dojo to Level 3, and You'll be able to DNA Digivolve your Digimon with City Residents.
I would imagine the most common method would be Agumon -> Greymon -> Metal Greymon -> Wargreymon :) If you have the dojo unlocked, I would recommend using this to help ensure you get the right digivolutions. Hope you get him Ronald :)
Hello amigo, first of all, let me just point out that your name is incredible. Kudos. If you are just starting out in the game for the first time, it might be quite tricky to get Agumon first try. Later on, you should know that you unlock a Dojo function will which allow you to choose exactly which Digimon you change in to. The only problem with this, is that you have to get to the point of the game where the Dojo becomes unlocked. I would just play through the start of the game and take which ever Digimon you get, then eventually (when you are stronger and have more resources) you will be able to choose Agumon! :) The only other alternative is that you look up a guide on Agumon's exact requirements and try to land these when training- if you really really want Agumon asap. Hope this helps friend!

Hey Mila, if it happened to you then yeah, it's probably normal! :P I know it maybe seems weird that toyagumon would become Growlmon but there is a bunch of different evolutions available for each digimon. This will become clearer later when you unlock more features in the Digimon Dojo! @@MrW01FY I was really disappointed when I saw Toyagumon😂 but relieved to know that there were many possible combinations. I started that game just a few days ago, so I'm still trying to figure out most things.
