Ross just want to say, thanks so much for releasing a free class of master study, i cant afford to pay for much to progress in art so stuff like this helps out ALOT, thanks so much ❤
Don't mind me, just putting timestamps here for personal use :) Thanks for sharing this with us, and for free too. As always, your videos are much appreciated! ✨ 3:57 - Art feature 13:55 - Leyendecker 19:28 - Rule of thirds 35:30 - Studying Leyendecker 1:24:14 - Sergant 1:27:30 - Classical technique (clear, bright silhouette against a dark BG) 1:35:18 - Studying Sergant
Note for those who might be interested. There is an article that talks about a letter Leyndecker sent to one of his students about his process. It's very interesting, one of the things that I internalized is that you're essentially piecing together a puzzle as you paint your shapes. Leyndecker is definitely one of my favorites especially since the art deco movement is one that's design orientated but still carrying an illustrative feel. Ugh, I love his work T^T
Thank you for your tutorial, Ross. I didn't know there can be so much to learn from old masters. I thought modern and anime drawings were only that matters, but this video really changed my perspective.
Happy birthday Ross! I've watched you for so long now and your the one who got me into digital art and now I am planning a future in art. Thank you so much-! :))
I was searching for a good way to learn digital painting and then someone recommended your channel to me in a Discord server. The timing is amazing lmao, happy birthday!
I literally just started searching illustration and digital art to study and I get this notification haha, happy birthday! I love your artworks! I hope I get to draw like you one day.
Happy Birthday Ross I hope you have an amazing birthday ever and many more years!!! Thank you for your videos and your art is amazing!! ❤️❤️ Wishing all the success in the world!
Happy Birthday and thank you so so much for this illustration class! I appreciate your videos and I keep learning something new every time you upload a video. You are truly an inspiration!
HAPPY BDAY ROSS!, I bought your boot camp a while ago, but I havent had time to do it due to a hecktick violin competition 😅, but I can not definetly do them as a good way to get back into the art flow!
Hey Ross! You're such an inspiration just gotta say lol I'm so excited as I'm getting my new PC soon and will be getting back into streaming my art. I'll soon be taking your Bootcamp in my private time and hoping to improve. I haven't drawn as much after a time of depressing events but I'm excited to get back into my favorite hobby and maybe future profession :3 much love and I appreciate everything you do!
Hey ross! I've been thinking about joining this bootcamp, but I wasn't sure if I'd be joining too late? I don't know if I should wait to join or if I can join at anytime.. but anyways, thanks for the free lesson and I hope you had an awesome birthday!🎊
When artists stopped being initiated in the hermetic mysteryschools, that's when the old masters vanished and contemporary artists began (I'd say Poussin in the 17th century was one of the last.). Why that happened i'll leave you to figure out, but it will rock your world.
What programs are needed for your classes? Do you only use Photoshop? Are there any you recommend to use besides Photoshop? The cost per month puts many people off (Me included).
I mainly use Photoshop, but you're welcome to follow along with any drawing program! CSP is low-cost or you can opt for the free programs like Krita or Medibang! Those are a few at the top of my head! :)
Why not? Why let ai be a deterrent? Improve for the sake of yourself, and being able to create the things you want, with your own two hands. What pride, or sense of accomplishment is there to be had in creating with ai? Ai is doing all the work. Besides, by giving up, you're letting tech bros win, by giving up, and letting them take over. Screw that!
