Hey dear Dan Hard ! Thank you very much for your honest opinion, this is exactly the kind of input I'm able to learn from and improve my videos. I did acknowledge the sound issue in previous videos, and I hope it's noticeable and was taken care in my recent videos. As for previous videos - I cannot fix that, unless I take the video off (which is something I prefer not to do), so I suggest lower the audio and/or put subtitles to realize what I'm saying. Thanks again for your feedback. Just don't test anything that could be over ~3.5 volts using the "clamp" testers. I killed my BT-168D that way. I accidentally put an A23 cell in between there, during a momentary lapse of attention and thinking it was a AAA battery. Well, it was NOT a AAA battery! A23 cells produce 12V nominally... and that was the last battery under 3V that my BT-168D ever measured. Strangely, even in this busted state, it will still read 3V batteries, just not 1.5V batteries (which is most "normal," everyday cylindrical batteries, eg. AA, AAA, C, or D). For 1.5V batteries, the screen is forever dark. But, if I put two AAs in series and connect it all up with jumper leads, it'll still read 3V. Weird. Anyway, I think it's safe to say, there is NO over-voltage protection on the sliding terminals. Guess I need to buy another one, and at $3-$4 I suppose it's not a huge deal. It is, otherwise, a very quick and handy device. Just don't misuse it like I accidentally did.
Hey dear floobertuber! WOW! I didn't know that, so it's good to be notified about this issue 🙏 Usually, I test with it normal AA/AAA batteries, so currently I'm on the safe side - let's hope it stays this way...
