What's inside a digital camera? This is a detailed tear down of one with a built in zoom lens, auto-stabilization, and auto-focus.
I put the sensor under a microscope, and it turns out it was bad because the adhesive used migrated out onto the sensor. I have an older CX-1 that is still good. Looks like a manufacturing change that misfired.
This camera is full of micro motors (including tiny stepping motors), micro-sensors, high precision mechanics, etc.
Ricoh CX1, was among the first cameras to use CMOS instead of CCD. Super-fast frame rate.
WARNING: Do NOT take a camera with a flash unit apart! Flash units operate on high voltage that can shock and kill!

Thank you very much for this video. I own a Ricoh CX2. It's a great camera. Huge admiration for the sheer scale of electro-mechanical sophistication combined with micro-circuitry that's inside it. Thank you again.

That’s my first look at the Ricoh Double Retracting Lens beyond their diagram animation. The lens at the corner swing in towards the optical path at a certain zoom range, retracting out of the way to produce a thinner lens module when switched off. The zoom range remained at 7.1x throughout most of the R series and the camera aren’t that slim so I wonder what n why with the trouble

Great Video!! I would like to ask if can help me , I have a Samsung ES65 and las month i was transferring my pictures to my laptop and all of a sudden it turned off and a burning smell came out of it. It didnt come from the battery but from near the LCD. I dont know if its the LCD or the motherboard behind it. Or the flash. I just know when i try charging it the cable light is flickering Orange. I tried taking to somewhere to fix it but no one knows how to.
