Is that really your simple PC setup that you use to produce all the videos on your channel? That has to be one of the most productive setups I've ever seen!
Excellent edition in this video, superb lighting and your tips are really helpful. I specially liked the long silence after introducing the "spend time alone" tip. Very nice and soothing. I don't know if you have more videos with just ambiance and music, you should consider doing more of that often. Cheers from Costa Rica.
To focus in front of a computer is sooo difficult. The digital era is such a challenge for humans, has been a radical change in a few years. I am trying to have a minimalist live taking profit of digital devices and for me the only solution is to choose tools who can only do just one thing, like and mp3 player or a paper notebook. Multitask devices force you to Multitasking. The key is to not be connected at every moment.
I've been deleting old convos that I really don't need (school related work that's ongoing or something else). Although I like to watch contents, I have made efforts that lessened how thse contents urge me to consume more (buying recommended products or contents that surround unecessary drama and negativity). this way I now find scrolling thru media more enjoyable than before. I mostly gravitate toward youtube videos(horror and minimalism generally) as I find them help me release stress, I also like dancing so I tend to watch kpop and dancing videos. Overall, what's important i think is to take time off atleast
All great tips, as expected from you 🙂 also, that binge-watching videos is relatable, I've had a period where I had to see every Jordan Kilganon video on RU-vid 😅
I also am an advocate to promote minimalism of any kind because I think it will help us to consume less and produce more. Great video and always a pleasure to watch your videos!
Insightful, thx. I would be interested to know, how you decide, what content to keep/ how to curate the things you consume on youtube or spotify (podcasts). I use one in 3 out lately, but still have a crazy long queue! The thing is: I have multiple interests like history, philosophy and space and there is a lot of useful information out there. I use these things for learning. Every time I delete, I end up resubscribing. I know that takes time, so I try to avoid it, but somehow it happens again and again. Any ideas?
Are you going to have a family and kids? How do you think this will change? I have 3 kids and this seems unrealistic for us. Any minimal families out there? Chime in, I'm interested!
I'm not sure, I haven't put too much thought into it to be honest. I'm not sure if you've watched Joshua Becker, but he has a wife and kids and covers this subject often, he'd be a much better point of view on this than me!
