Can employers display personal information such as Aadhaar and PAN numbers on payslips? Does this violate the DPDP Act, 2023

Has to be for lawful purpose and if the reason the data was required is fulfilled then the Data Principal / Subject can request to remove the same.

If an individual, while blogging her views. has publicly made available her personal data on social media but later on she deletes/hides her data from public space. Then in such a case will the provisions of DPDP Act shall apply?

The application of the DPDP Act is unclear . To the extent that any publicly available information of a data principal is used by a third party, (e.g., another person re-shares the blog post/vlog of the individual/data principal who had originally blogged her views), the deletion/hiding of her data would not affect such processing by the third party, and the provisions of the Act would not apply to such processing. Similarly, if RU-vid/another intermediary processed such publicly available data before the individual sought to delete this data (e.g., to train its AI models for content moderation), such processing by RU-vid (e.g., without the consent of the data principal) would also not be affected by such deletion. However, once the data principal deletes/hides her data, any subsequent processing would trigger the provisions of the Act. So for instance, RU-vid would now be required to delete the video which was posted by the data principal originally. RU-vid already allows users to restrict access to their videos/content and change the privacy settings to 'private' so that only the uploader/select group of persons can see such content. The speakers contact details are at the end of the Webinar.
