6:34, in fact its easier, from x intercept form we know that k*j would give us 45, which means that 45/k=j and 45/j=k, and j and k are integers so D will be answer

The last question can also be solved by using the vertex formula for x-coordinate i.e -b/2a -8/2=-4, because the equation has only one solution ,by plugging in the x-value= -4 will get the value of a= 14.5 or 29/2

6:58 u can use this if you know derivatives: if a quadratic and a horizontal line have 1 intersection, the line has to be touching the parabolas vertex, because if its touching anywhere else, itd also intersect the other side of the parabola making it have 2 real solutions. our line is a horizontal line through -1.5 so the parabola must have a vertex with -1.5 as its y coordinate. now the calculus part derive the parobola and equate to 0 to get the vertex's x coordinate 2x+8=0 x= -4 now substitute -4 and -1.5 in the parabolas equation to solve for a, as (-4,-1.5) is a point on the parabola, (the point of the vertex) (-4)^2 + 8(-4)a = -1.5

Today I take a digital sat, it was a great experience to be honest the test was very easy the math module 1 and the grammar portion of English is easiest part. The vocabs questions are also very easy,in maths module 2 has one two questions abit tricky and the English module 1 is time taking that's it overall the test is as it is as on digital bluebook practice test

Yes, I would have solved it in a different way by knowing that the last variable in a quadratic equation is the product of the x values which was the k and j

6:35 I have a question . If we do the same by -3 and 15 we'll get two right answers . In doing this , we should check each possible numbers until we get one correct answer?

The answer to the last question 6:50 can be EYEBALLED by just completing the square. x^2 + 8x + (a+1.5) = (x + 4)^2 a + 1.5 = 16 a = 14.5 Get some easy points and move on!

How did you get b to be 4 on the first question? I get that the asymptote can't touch -4 but how does that make b 4?

Because x can’t be -4. So if b is 4 in the denominator, then x truly can’t be -4 because it would make 0

@@mennaalabsy1234 it's not possible for the denominator of the fraction to be 0 because you can't divide by 0, and the value of x will never be -4 because it is an asymptote (the graph never touches x=-4). when b is 4, x can't be -4 as it would make the denominator = 0 (not possible for reasons discussed above). the fact that x can't be -4 is shown on the graph (never touches -4), and this is only possible when b is 4 (if that makes sense)
