This was the last superhit movie of dilipkumar as a mainstream hero. From 1947 to 1967 he was the highest paid actor for most of the 20 years ( neck to neck with rajkapoor) . Not easy to achieve this. Reminds me of amitabh bachchan who ruled from 1973 to 1991( aajka arjun) . These 18 years Amitabh ruled as highest paid hero during most of the years ( rajesh khanna , dharmendra were neck to. neck) . Another similarity is that after a string of flops with new comers emerging Dilip kumar reinvented him self into strong character roles starting with kranti 1981 to saudagar 1992. Bachchan also faced a series of flops with newcomers emerging . Then reinvented himself starting from mohabbatein.2000...and still going strong......... what goes up goes down , but its what has been achieved in the upward trend defines a legend.
