He is a Hero of All Heroes, he is also known as Abhinay Samrat, Tragedy King., In one interview Amitabh bachchan told , if whenever a book return on Indian cinema the book will be written in two parts Before Dilip Kumar and After Dilip Kumar., No one can touch him in acting, he is a real and Natural actor of Bollywood.

Dilip Kumar don't learn acting in a Institute, he is actor by nature,and born actor. Afraid of his father scolding (bhand ban gaye) he keep everything on wrap for days. As he knows Urdu very well and dialogue of Hindi films are written in URDU The other actor do not understand the meaning of their dialogue, but Dilip saheb being student of urdu he knows the meaning of his dialogue, so he take pause and stretch his voice as per need.
