@@DillonCarmichael I love love this song. Your are so dang great. This girl in South Carolina LOVES your music!! I have been looking up on music, all of your songs. LOVE YOU DILLON. Also I wanted to mention, thank you for coming to Dad's funeral. It meant a great deal to me.
@@DillonCarmichael Hey there, Dillon ... I will be following you, because I might have a song for you.. I KNOW you hear that a hundred times a day .... but, just keep the faith. I will be in contact ... You were highly recommended by someone your mother knows ... he recommended several singers, including John Michael Montgomery ... .but, I chose YOU !!!!! And, I had never heard your music before... VERY taken with your voice and your style. ... When I have something to tell you for sure, with a NASHVILLE demo, I will be in contact ... close contact ... closer than you realize... just KEEP SINGING the OLD COUNTRY SOUND !!! Love your voice. I know that songs are supposed to go through your publisher, etc. etc. etc. MAYbe YOU will be the one to show it to them ... let me tell you something about me ... I am 77, a great grandmother, and I have FAITH in this song ..... I sang it for a lady downtown in a jewelry store and, in the middle of it, she turned to a co-worker and rubbed her arm and said, " I have goosebumps ! " ... I said, " I' ll take goosebumps anytime.. " ...... won MONEY six weeks in a row singing it at karaoke with a local, small studio sound track .... ONE night, a little black youngster about 5 years old, looked at me and asked, "Are you gonna sing THAT song ? " ... I said, " Yes, darlin', I'm gonna sing THAT song" ..... Smiles.... I have history singing on TV, the radio, and in a traveling band, starting when I was a senior in high school, so ... I get it ..... Let's just get that demo finished and I WILL be in touch .... Bank it !!! BEFORE ... YOU ... ever get to hear it, everyone in Lake City, Florida will know the words ... I sing it in drive thru's, restaurants to waitresses, victims in line behind me and in front of me ( LOL ) .... and, they stop and LISTEN .... Do NOT think me crazy .... Think me SMART !!!! MY song is very much related to THIS one, of yours ... And, to Alan Jackson's called "Where Have You Gone" .... I hate that the country OLD sound has been mutilated AND mutated ..... we have to bring it back, dear heart.. We just have to... Just think ... Carrie Underwood's first hit was " Jesus, Take The Wheel" and, now, when you see Carrie, her dress is cut up to where you can almost see her underwear from the front row, and her voice is not about Jesus taking the wheel ... CARRIE has taken the wheel or whoever her manager is ..... BUT .... she really IS able to cross over .... I don't want that in MY song.. It stays in the Country lane and wins a GRAMMY . ..... It really does. TRUST ME !!! I WILL BE IN TOUCH !!!!!

Great song. Reminds me of the type of country music I was raised on. I just got some of your merch today. Will definitely rock it in my next video. Keep it up!
I love this song Dillion lives it to write it keeping it Country. I get goosebumps bumps down my spine hearing the steel guitar and the lyrics. Real Country is not dead its just in this Generation we live in They wanted to change music. Yea murder has been committed on music row.
Sure does! And that voice beings me back to days listening to bob 94.9 in central pa at my grandmas in between doing barn work. Damn. Ive been on a musical journey to find my sound and it seems like its all leading me back to my roots. Thank you roots.
Last night at city council meeting here in beautiful downtown Burgin Kentucky we decided to have home of Dylan Carmichael added to our welcome to Burgin signs it was unanimous after the vote I said great now who the hell is Dylan Carmichael the mayor said he's a local country singer I said that explains why I have no idea who he is because it's not rap Jim said Skippy you should give him a listen he's not like the country that's out nowadays I said I can't listen to country it makes my ears bleed Jim asked me to give you a listen now I listened to this jam there was no Auto-Tune and it was very reminiscent of the country I grew up on Hank senior Waylon Johnny a very fine representation of my hometown keep up the good work brother. Very proud to add your name to our city sign.
This man has it, saw him Sat. night and it was awesome! Thanks brother True Country! Gotta true fan here, looking forward to that CD In January and seeing you again! Thanks Dillion, it was a pleasure meeting you and rockin Austin City.....
Ya know Dillon I'm out in eastern oaklahoma for a family funeral. We're having a cigar and thinking bout his young age. But it's real country music that .awesome it a little easier. Don't quit.
Like so many I've given up on country music. I can picture being back in the 90s riding around with my grandfather in his pickup and hearing any of your songs on the radio and he'd really enjoy them. Keep it up, don't give in to the world mainstream country keep it old school 👍👍 Oh and u Chris Stapleton and Jamey Johnson should all do an album together!! 👍👍
I just come across you for the first time...😍❤️🎶🎧🤠 I absolutely love your voice & music... We haven't heard true country in a long time....please keep it up ❤️🤠
How in the heck can anyone hit thumbs down on this song. They must like skinny Jean's pop Nashville. Are you not listening to the same voice and steel guitar song I am? Keep it it coming Dillion
Now this is real country right here I love your voice you are what we need. it reminds me of the old country the good stuff :) your amazing and awesome and I love this song
Hands down the coolest performance I’ve ever seen I watched you play in Kettering Ohio last night and you came out sat in the crowd and watched Justin Moore you were right in front of us thank you so much for your autograph and the experience
I tried to get my Country Radio Station to play this song, or should I say to put it on their playlist. Here is what I was told, they have three sources they get songs or artist from that are on the national charts, and Dillon Carmicheal is not on any of them. So my opinion is since artist no longer goes on the road knocking the door down to get the station to put their song on the radio, it is probably hard for anyone to get recognition unless they know someone in the music business.
gary everly Goes to show that these people are narrow minded simpletons with not a lick of taste. It’s flipping ridiculous and annoying with that gets played on the radio. And I call B.S. because Cody Jinks ranks and they don’t play him either lieing S.O.B’s.
1. Country waltz 2. Slide guitar 3. Oh, that voice! Dear lord.....my country playlist is getting some good, quality new songs. Thankfully there are those who are COUNTRY artists out there still. Thank you, Dillon for picking up the mantle. Now, another listen to soothe this old soul!
All it took was one listen to this song to earn a pre-order for the whole album. This tune reminds me of riding around with my Dad, with country music on the AM radio and a breeze from the "4-55" (four windows, 55 MPH) air conditioner cooling us down. Those were good times, and hearing "Old Songs Like That" makes me realize it all the more.
Wow Dillion just made a favourite list of your songs.I ver been listening to country since I was 10 you are pure country.Keep them coming,I am now 65 never get tired of good old country music. My all time favorite is Conway. Thanks so much for sharing your talent all the best
Man !!!! I have been waiting a long time to hear real Country Music like this . I can feel the heart and soul in your voice and the instruments. Together it's all perfect !! Thank you Brother !! It's really good !!
Who could dislike this if you are a country fan?? Only thing I could think would be someone who probably likes the pop trash like Luke Bryan etc. I just discovered this guy on my RU-vid music and holy shit haven’t heard a bad song yet, he will be going into my rotation with the other stuff I really like. I really hope this guy comes near Memphis or Little Rock
Omg. Real country music. Love the sound brother. Don't change that sound. Pedal steel and that voice. This is what real country fans have praying for. Thank you for the 3 and a half minutes of hope for this genre.
NASHVILLE!!!!! THIS IS WHAT COUNTRY MUSIC SOUNDS LIKE. IT AIN'T GONE YOU JUST AIN'T LOOKING. IF I WAS YOU I'D START IN TEXAS. RAY BENSON CAN SHOW YOU. THE ONES THAT BUILT THAT TOWN ARE MAINLY GONE BUT THEIR INFLUENCE IS VERY MUCH ALIVE. TEXAS IS THE NEW HOME OF COUNTRY MUSIC. DON'T FORGET WHERE THE OUTLAW MOVEMENT WENT? WHAT YOUR SEEING IS THE NEW OUTLAW MOVEMENT. TAKE NOTE LABELS.
Man just saw your keith whitley cover on facebook. Checked your stuff out. Thanks for the old country song! The references in this song most will not get sadly but those who do it hits home!
@@DillonCarmichael no problem my man. Before artists like upchurch and yourself I use to think country music is dead but it's not dead it's just not on the radio. Keep doing you God bless #rhec
Dillion, you got it son. I hear your Uncle Eddie's influence and to me that's a very, very good thing. I'd love to hear you, Eddie , John Michael and your Mom together. I'm a retired radio GM from US-101 Chattanooga and remember well the first time I met Eddie and Troy and fell in love with those guys and their music. Keep it country.
