I am a Hindu from West Bengal, India. Actually, in my family we never have consumed any meat, fish or egg. Both my grandmother and mother cook best vegetarian items for everyone. Whoseever comes to our house during occasions find our home cooked veg food very delicious. Since India is a very diverse nation, we must appreciate every lifestyle and food habits because that would add more beauty to our diversity. Those who are mocking or criticizing our benevolent Naga brothers, I urge not to judge them because their food habit does not describe their mentality or inner beauty. I love all my brothers and sisters from Nagaland and want best for them and their state. By the way I am going to visit Nagaland in month of June, so please suggest me some best vegetarian restaurants in Dimapur and also do not forget to mention Best Veg food item of Nagaland😊

As a vegetarian, I do not condone eating meat. I'll be blunt to say that I get disturbed by the killing of any kind of animals. But I also love Nagaland for their culture, languages and beauty. I did not watch this video because I know I'll be extremely upset but as long as you respect other dietary habits, I'll respect your choices.

Many are commenting on dog meat , even people who are non veg, but you have to mind that you are already killing chicken, pig, goat, cow for meat. 🙂, It doesn't makes any sense to show kindness only to a particular animal.

My aunty selling Dog meat in super market....They are very honest and hardworking...Some people offend by our food habits especially Dog and Rat....but that's Naga for you...we have survived in the past by eating all these stuff...Note only 30 percent of Naga do eat...Dog...I am from chui (chi) village Nagaland....we eat all kinds of meat from elephant to ant😊

most faltu people from other state don't understand that nagaland is not great for agriculture. so non veg is in their food menu, as bengalis think meal without fish is half meal. bengal they have ponds and rivers, so their food habit. Food habit of people varies according to their habitat, people of coastal area survive on sea foods, they eat fish, snails and many other creatures found in the sea. People of hilly regions mostly survive by hunting animals, birds which are found in the region. So as the geographical area changes, the race, culture and particularly the food of the people change. People's superiority over other can't be determined by the food we eat. Food means to survive and after all humans were hunters in the early era and we're all their descendants. There is nothing wrong in someone's food habit until and unless it is against the law. Criticisms come only from narrow minded people. Respect is the key to live together in peace and harmony. Snail is eaten in countries like France,Spain,Italy etc. Frog is eaten in Southern USA,spain, Vietnam etc. Horse is eaten in Switzerland,Belgium,Mexico etc. What we consider inedible is a delicacy for people in other country. Just because you don't eat something doesn't mean the world has to follow you. You eat what you want and let people eat what they want.

I think you should include the names of vegetables and fruits sold there as well. It would enhance our vocabulary about different types of vegetables sold in different parts of the country.

Actually in ancient india many people were eating such animals as a food, during the Ashoka king period he banned all such animals for sacrifices and eating food.

It is Nagas culture.respect.A single type of flowers can not make a garden beautiful .we need different type of flowers.we will have to learn to respect other cultures.

Naga people have their customs, traditions and culture as well as cuisine. If you can't respect it, at least be mature and smart enough not to publicly patronize their way of life.

the beauty of india lies in diversities and plurality of cultures and not a stock of hindu culture or aryan culture alone hindu culture is one of the part in the whole. The Indian culture include many culture like northeast cultures, dravidian culture, many tibal culture , islamic cultures,christian and jewish cultures, british culture, french culture, portugeese culture and dutch culture and there are many other cultures also............ try to understand india. Cultures cannot be ranked or cannot hierarchised the only way is try to understand the differences culture is unmeasurable .
