Dimash is magic, something we had not seen, felt. He can do whatever he wants with his voice, but mainly, it reaches us, it moves us, it touches us, it leaves us astonished.

All by myself written and performed by Eric Carmen, the Celene Dion version is a cover of his original. 💖 his English was very poor here but don't worry it's pretty fluent now. Yes ge sang in the key that Celine used. He can subg in any key so no problem for him. He also sang higher than she did at the end 💖 the backing vocals was sung by s young 13 year old winner of his Baqytty Bala children's singing competition. Part of her prize was to perform at his concert. I am sorry I don't remember this remarkable girls name but I am sure someone will comment it here for me. Thank you for the reaction
I'm old enough to have loved this song when Arin Carmen first sang it. And yes, Celine did a marvelous job with. it. And they will be the classical ones forever. But I think people are catching on, that Dimash uses this song in his performances kind of like a "secret handshake" or something. You saw how he played around at the beginning making comments, and then did the "wow" improvisation at the end. Someone earlier recommended watching his original performance in the contest because at the end, he gave it such a mind-blowing finale...(which he had to do to demonstrate his abilities for the judges)...and the audiences have come to expect something "wow" each time...So, he does it..OR..he teases them...(check out the end at the London performance: they KNEW it was coming so he stopped, smiled and made them beg: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ycoMQib3Fyo.html ) And then, there's the time when he forgot the lyrics (maybe) and said: "I forgot the lyrics, but it's ok". And the audience finished it for him. Which of course ended up with the shirt he got: "A 'Dear" is someone, that when you forget the words, they sing it for you"...Playful, and the audiences love it! The guy is probably the most skillful vocalist of our time...and this is from talent AND from his being so focused....except when he isn't!
I love watching him in concert, yes other performances may be more “perfect “ but his concerts show more of his personality and interaction with the audience ❤️

You should see him do it on the The Singer competition version. In concerts, and especially this one where he sang 30, YES 30 songs (I really wish he wouldn't do that ;) seriously )....he has to pace his voice a bit you know to make it thru such a demanding night of singing. THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY GREAT.....but in THE SINGER competition he only had to sing one song that night, ABM, and so he just let's it ALL out for that one song :)
@Just want the Best voice Very True, he is amazing and he is young, When we are very young the body is more resilient. We can take more risks. And perhaps the Universe will always allow him grace. However, think Streisand, Houston, Carey, Bennet. All 4 voices just thrashed. Streisand sounds like she is screaming, just pushing and forcing to try and hit high notes when it use to just pour out of her like liquid velvet. When you can sing as high, and as refined as Dimash creating an angelic rarified sound the vocal folds have to be flawless. Each time one sings thru fatigue, illness or pushes thru too many songs at one time, there is risk. Once you damage a Stradivarius voice like DQ it will not be able to sing with such delicacy and refinement. Of course he is extraordinarily well trained and visited a Laryngologist during The Singer and was likely cleared to sing. Think Adelle and Sam smith, both having had to have operations on their vocal cords, Adelle twice and they don't sing even remotely as much in one concert or as difficult of songs. It's all possible that no damage will come, but while we all want to think he is not human, he is, made of real flesh and blood. He just happens to have worked harder, having far more talent, and he is clearly a genius. Fingers crossed. ;)
My YOUNG MAN is magical !! He's trained for his entire life not just for himself but the entire world & beyond. And I for one apprec. it so very much. He's a beautiful, phenomenal & a legend unto himself. So thankful that I watched/listen to the 1st. time back in 2017. I was in awe then & continue to be in awe to this day. Being so gentle & humble is Dimash, you know the character of this truly amazing performer. Love 💌, Akita, 🇺🇸 🦌

The version Celine did was a cover of an Eric Carmen song that goes back to the early 70's. I don't know if he's changed, but back in the day Eric was a total Richard Cranium, especially towards women. I never did like him, and still don't. Our band played many of the same stages and gigs as did his band back then.
Love you and your reaction! Dimash is great, but for me the version of The Singer competition is even "better" or worth listening to. What about some Kazakh songs? I would recommend Samaltau (true happenings in WWI), the version in his home studio due to the pandemic for the Tokyo Jazz Festival, sung live, is fantastic. Or Daididau, Unforgettable Day (Dimash's composition when he was 19 I think), Amanat... Thank you!❤️
For those who love Dimash, two other must see singers are Zhou Shen and Hua Chenyu from China. Zhou Shen has a high, feminine voice that often got him bullied in school. If his classmate only could have seen the talent in that voice. As an introduction into Zhou "Charlie" Shen, begin with his premiere performance on the Voice of China singing HuanYan. After this first video, move on to his versions of "Memory", and "Time to Say Goodbye". For something different from him, watch his version of "Ring the Doorbell" and "Da La Beng Ba". His biggest success is the song "Big Fish". Another singer that is highly rated is Hua Chenyu. One never knows what one will get with a Hua Chenyu song since he mixes genres and composes many of his own songs. He is an epic stage performer spilling his emotions into the audience so they can share in those emotions. He is also a master are redeveloping cover songs into his unique perspective. I have a recommendation list, but it is not really in any particular order. "Nunchucks", "Child", I am what I am", "Fake Monk", "Friend", and "Dad, I'm Home". Neither Zhou Shen or Hua Chenyu are the full package that Dimash displays, but they are both unique and special with their skills.
It's a cover of her cover. Her cover was HER song. She didn't write it. But she did perform it. Why do some people make it a point to stir things up. Anyone who knows music, knows that Dimash did a cover of this song in the "style" and arrangement of Celine's cover. So the fact that Celine is mentioned over Eric Carmen is not slighting Eric. It is just the fact of the matter.
@@shanialover Celine sang the song. It is on many videos. The song she sang and how she sang it is her SONG. She did not write the song or perform it first. But her version is HER song. Dimash chose to sing a version of the song in the style and arrangement of the Celine version. All of these statements are FACT. The fact that you are using an Alphabet and Words that others have used before does not negate the fact that your comments are YOURS. Same thing works in Music. Whether you believe it or not.
@@donny1960 According to your logic everybody that sings any song is singing THEIR song no matter who wrote it. Even everybody that sings Happy Birthday is singing THEIR song. And every church choir that sings a hymn written in the 1800's is singing THEIR song.

So you hang around videos of songs that you prefer other people to sing? Why? Eric Carmen MADE this song. There are many videos of his performances. Why are you wasting your time with "inferior" performances? Shouldn't you be at Eric's videos celebrating his greatness? I don't understand what motivates people to seek out something they know they will feel negative about. Seek out the positive.

You should listen to one of his idol, one that has influenced him a lot, Lara Fabian. A good start is her concert in Montreal in 2001, From Lara with love (ru-vid.com/group/PLV-BfzP9ln4xyPy8l43ag7hd20S9PeNiE ). Her live performances are better. I can suggest Adagio, Caruso, Quedate, Je suis malade, Broken Vows, etc.

I'm very aware, but when I did these intros for songs that have been covered to death, I typically name who helped popularize the song. And while Eric Carmen might be the originator, the song would not be the song that it is without Celine Dion. I try really hard not to use the words "Originally", or offer writing credits or anything like that unless I know 100% sure. It's still a Celine song ;)
