DIMASH - Daybreak (Bastau 2017) | Reaction! 

This was not a music festival this was a full-on Dimash concert. Bastau is the name of the concert and it was in Astana, Kazakhstan. This song is based on a true story but it is not Dimash's story. Thankfully both of Dimash's parents are alive and well.

Bastau 2017 is his solo concert but he didn’t perform this song anymore in his later solo concerts. I wish he still included this number in Stranger 2023 concert, it’s such a heart wrenching beautiful song.

Go back to his performance at I AM SINGER/CHINA - he was ill and had been to the doctor and with 4 injections in his throat he gave a heartbreaking performance - you need the backstory to this and you 'll see that -this is the true story of a cable car disaster in china in 1999 that took the lives of 14 visitors - A young couple were able to lift their young son,2/12 years old, to safety before plummeting to their deaths. Han Han who wrote this songs as a tribute to the sacrifice of the young parents, later adopted the young boy - this is Dimash' performance from his solo concert later that year in Bastau

This was Dimash's first solo concert in Kazakhstan after his success in the Chinese contest "The Singer 2017". This song is endearing, it was written by a Chinese singer who saw on the news about an accident where some parents saved their 2-year-old son, but they died, the child was orphaned and the composer later adopted him. A beautiful and painful story that Dimash transmits with a lot of pain and love.

La canción se basa en un hecho real ocurrido en China en 1999, cuando una excursión a la montaña desde un teleférico, cargó indebidamente a 36 personas en lugar de las 12 que debía llevar, y al regreso se precipitó a tierra por la ladera de la montaña. Murieron 14 personas, entre ellos una pareja con su hijo de 2 1/2 años, que durante la caída lo sostuvieron en sus brazos y al casi estrellarse lo lanzaron lejos del aparato. Ell niño se salvó y fue a un orfanato. La cantante, compositora y productora china Han Hong, conoció ése mismo año la historia, adoptó al niño y escribió ésa canción en homenaje al sacrificio de sus padres. La historia, muy triste, está en internet y el niño ya es un joven.

It is the true story of a child who was the only survivor of a tragic accident when a cable car crashed to the ground killing all on there, but the child's parents held him up and he was saved. A Chinese poet and singer wrote this song about the accident from the child's perspective and she adopted the child. She loves Dimash's version of her song. Thank you 😊🙏💕

There was a cable car in China that crashed down, as a result of being over-filled fell, killing 14 people. One young couple held their infant son above their heads, sacrificing themselves to save their child. "Daybreak" is the tribute and lament of that young boy for the parents he'll never know. The song's writer later adopted that young boy. The first time I heard this song was this same rendition in the Bastau concert. It made me cry though I can´t understand chinese and the video had not subs in that moment.

Un matrimonio y su hijo iban en una arrodilla en China si no me equivoco y estaba sobrecargada por lo que se venía abajo a la muerte segura, por lo tanto los padres sueltan al niño en una despedida hacia la muerte segura y él se salva. Ese niño fue adoptado por la persona que escribió la letra de esta canción tan emotiva. Y Dimash la interpreta con toda su pasión como todo. Amamos a Dimash, la mejor voz del mundo además del mejor intérprete.

I lost my mother who is the only "parents" that matter to me.
