This is not pop, this is jazz 😲. Dimash is a young man, he doesn't always have to be sad and serious, he loves to sing happy or playful songs as well. Those who know him really well, know that he can't be put in a box and that he sings in a lot of genres and styles and enjoys all kinds of music. This is a song about a girl playfully calling the guy she loves names, like Curly. Dimash sang that song in a traditional manner many times, and here he combined two different styles/genres and showed different approaches. I am happy for this innovative spirit, for always being fresh and surprising. That's why he is the only artist on this planet I listen to daily for hours for over 4.5 years already and it's never enough. For each their own.

Thank you for your honest opinion! What I appreciate most about Dimash is his versatility. He has something for everyone. Personally, I loved this performance. He paid tribute to the original version first, then transformed it into the jazzy version to celebrate the said love. So, he demonstrated two possible sides of love, a sad/tragic one and the happy one, similar to what he did in his “El Amor En Ti”.

Thank you William for your kind reaction and your honest opinion. 🙋🏻‍♀😘 I experienced this performance completely differently and want to tell you about my feelings.😊 I already knew this traditional song from many other moments when Dimash sang it. Very often, when he was asked to sing something from his country, he chose „Dudarai” and sang it in acapella style. So far he has sung it more delicately, very soulfully, here and there included a strong voice like in this presentation at the beginning... I really liked it every time. Now, for this Chinese Television event „Beauty & Harmony" he has divided it into a traditional, celebratory and a modern funky-jazz part, even changing the instruments. I loved it and was absolutely thrilled when I heard it for the first time. .... We Dears know that his favorite subject is to combine musical styles in different ways...mixing or sequentially… or even with adding of certain traditional instruments to modern music … the neoclassic style. Of course the emotions change with the twist, you`re right, but it gave me other emotions that I urgently needed: feelings of joy, liveliness, exhilaration and of course the surprise effect (first listening), when the musicstyle changed... I've noticed Dimash using jazz elements here and there several times, ... he studied jazz vocals during his educational training (he has a bachelor in jazz and pop vocals) . ... I often heard him singing scat, which I love hearing from him (e.g. in the MV Know; at his solo-concerts he usually sings the song "Screaming" towards the end and loves this kind of ad-libbing, then at the end of the recently published song "Join Hands” one can hear him scat-singing as backvocals to a big choir) ... years ago he sang "Feelin good" in a duet with a girl, after they both won prizes during a gala .... so it wasn't entirely new to me. I think that this style of music suits him very well and for me, I hope, that he will present something like this more often in the future, with or without keyboard... upbeat or more like jazzblues. From what I understand, the international invited artists were supposed to present innovative integrated art forms for cultural exchange, within the framework of the "Cultural Silk Road" project. Dimash has been a guest at the annual “Cultural Silk Road” events several times. Again, thank you for your reaction and all the best for you, William.💞

Dimash est unique ! Je l’ai découvert avec sa chanson " Ikanaïde " et il est tellement passionné dans ses interprétations ,tout passe par sa voix ,son regard , son amour de la musique . Il partage tout cela avec son public et son humilité n’a d’égal que son talent . Je l’écoute chaque jour et c’est une merveille 😍. Peut être un jour fera t’il des concerts en France ?👍

I have never liked Jazz music but I like this piece. I believe the strong part at the beginning provides a bridge to the authentic original. The second part brings in the humour of the story. I like this piece. 🥰🥰🇨🇦

Me encanta esta canción para mi es espectacular toda la fusión que hizo, mezclar lo folklorico con otro género, además Dimash es muy versátil y tiene para complacer a las personas de todas las edades y estilos, eso es lo bueno de el, aunque a otros no les parezca igual, a parte de eso debe tener canciones frescas y un poco suaves ya que en un concierto necesitaría una canción suave para descansar su voz, Gracias por su reacción, saludos desde Venezuela

Bonsoir William ! On ne peut pas à proprement parler d'un nouveau titre de Dimash ! Comme l'a dit Solange, il a passé un mois en Chine, enchainant évènement sur évènement, toujours entre deux avions.... cette vidéo a été faite pour la semaine culturelle si je ne m'abuse donc, il a repris une chanson folklorique kazakh et l'a transformé en son jazzi pop....personnellement, j'aime mais je comprends que cela surprenne ! il est actuellement à Macao , tu risques de voir une nouvelle vidéo le 23 octobre ....Il devrait sortit un album, il a dejà tourné un clip ... nous attendons et tous les dears te diront......SOON!!! Alors là... je ne connaissais pas du tout cette version ! Il existe une version beaucoup plus douce et plus lente qui est très sympa aussi. Bon, c'est Dimash donc c'est la crème de la crème... la cerise on the cake 😀 Et pourtant, comme tu dis, ce n'est pas le Dimash que je préfère.

On ne peut pas juger Dimash sur une vidéo qui a été enregistrée pour une télévision chinoise ; il a participé en Chine à plusieurs manifestations et ce clip n'a rien à voir avec ce qu'il peut produire réellement sur scène ! Lorsqu'il a gagné son concours en 2017 on lui a presque imposé de ne chanter que de l'opéra avec la voix qu'il avait. Il a refusé catégoriquement en disant qu'il voulait toucher à tout. Cette vidéo montre en effet qu'il est capable de chanter du moderne en s'accompagnant d'un instrument moderne et non plus d'une dombra ou autre instrument cher à son pays. Mais sa voix est toujours là !!! Mais je suis tout à fait d'accord avec toi Will de donner ton avis car tu peux t'en douter qu'une telle vidéo ne donne pas vraiment d'émotion !! Lors de ses spectacles ou autres prestations sur une vraie scène crois moi qu'il y a plus d'une chanson qui bouleverse. Cette vidéo pour moi c'est juste un clip qu'il a tourné pour une apparition rapide à la télé chinoise !! Bonne journée Will 💗🍀

Personnellement, ce n'est pas la meilleurs chanson de Dimash. Il a mélangé cette magnifique chanson avec du moderne, mais je préfère quand il chante du traditionnel. Ceci dit, il a le droit de créer de la nouveauté.

Ich bin ein bisschen enttäuscht von Ihrer Meinung, bin ich doch mehr Toleranz gewohnt. Ich habe die Enttäuschung an ihrem Gesicht sofort bemerkt, als er nicht mehr traditionell sang, aber warum? Dimash hat hier gezeigt , wie wandelbar seine Stimme ist . Und hört alle genau hin... er ist ein stimmlicher Virtuose auch in anderen Musikgenres. Einfach nur genial- auch hier seine Reichweite zu erleben, seine kontrollierte Atemtechnik und vor ALLEM den Spaß , den er hierbei hat, zu erleben!!!!! Er ist ein Vollblutmusiker! Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland

Здесь на мой взгляд, не удачное сочетание музыкальных направлений. Самый хороший кусочек-это джазовый. Остальное как много прямых линий, которые были каждая сама по себе. Композиция не удачная. Мы все и так убеждены в голосовых данных певца. Но, негативный опыт для певца, тоже опыт.
