Thank you so much for sharing this video. I watched the fan cam recording of this song. It brought tears to my eyes. His pronunciation is nearly spot on, as if a native Armenian is singing it. He imitates the sound of the Armenian duduk, which is a an Armenian woodwind instrument. Below is the translation for this song: I would die for the wind of the mountains, the wind of the mountains I would die for my love’s tall stature, tall stature I have not seen him in a year. I would die for the pair of eyes that saw him last I’m standing, yet standing still I cannot move forward, I’m filled with sorrow, yet so full that I cannot cry, I have not seen him in a year, I would die for the eyes that saw him last. My love is always in my heart, but I cannot utter his name The rivers no longer bring water, no longer bring water They no longer bring news from my love, no longer bring news Is it that his heart has frozen? They no longer bring me the fire of love Much love and respect to you for sharing and reacting to this song.

Thanks for your lovely reaction. Our beloved Dimash always have respect for the host country he has his concert in. By learning the local folk song, sung in their language, you could tell, as soon as he started singing, everyone in the audience recognized the song and cheered. That's the respect he gave to Armenians. He did the same when he was in Ukraine and Turkey. Dimash is simply such a wonderful human being. So much love and respect and so humble. His voice just transcend space and time when you hear him. Goosebumps and chills. Love him.

A cântat în armeană, la început a cântat la dombră, un instrument kazakh, iar la final, a imitat la superlativ, așa cum doar el știe, sunetul unui duduk, un instrument armean. ❤ Poetic se poate spune că a cântat vântul.

In most of the songs he sings Dimash talks about the worth of life and the love that should be between human beings. We are witnessing a turning point in the history of culture. Dimash is slowly but persistently revolutionizing art in many ways, the art of singing and musical art in general. But the most important thing is that he is also exposing and giving people a type of music with a great spiritual charge on stage. It is a category that goes beyond the merely musical, artistic or cultural, it is something that transcends society, even politics. The courage that this man displays within the censorship of these times of "correction" and "cancellation" above all because of his frontally unsubmissive and rebellious position before the dictatorship of large corporations and power groups, more than anything else, is a sample of how honorable and worthy that can become a true artist.

Wasn't in concert. Live in Australia. Never had a bucket list before but now Dimash is my only bucket list. Got Songkick App today as i looked up Dimash's concert itinerary and had to join Spotify to be notified when he comes near me. Not any time soon. That's okay 😊 I'll wait. I want him to rest plenty so he doesn't wear himself out. Id rather just watch re runs of all his videos before that happens. He is so amazing. In a couple of songs it was like I had clouds floating through my heart. I have literally had flowing tears down my cheeks. Have no idea what he is saying. I don't care LOL 😊 And he has the most beautiful speaking voice. At 6'3" he tall dark and handsome, sings like an angel, plays numerous musical instruments, super fit, sings in numerous languages and loves his bambooshka (Nanna) and his incredibly talented mum dad sibling's grandad. Participated in recent world chess championship and is humble and kind. So many things we don't know but that is so much more than expected plus we don't want to know everything. He needs to have lots of private life and time to himself for creation. He is a living legend and we must ask nothing of him because he gives us so much of himself. A beautiful gift of human to humanity ❤❤❤

This poor woman is in total despair, just hanging on to the glimpse of hope that her lover might return. That's Mythical. Wow! Dimash's really pulls it off LOL :) Everyone note and sound he sings sounds like his soul is in control. This was so kind of you to offer me this understanding. I'm very grateful and from now on I will investigate the lyric translation because knowing that brought even more to the song and what Dimash is singing. He is so wonderful. An Armenian song that Dimash immediately fell in love with and learned a few hours before the concert in Armenia…. The song is called «Sareri ovin mernem», which means «I will die for the mountain breeze». Full translation of the song: «I’ll die for the wind of the mountains I’ll die for the wind, I’ll die for the wind I’ll die for the height of my beloved3 I’ll die for the height, I’ll die for the height I stopped, I can’t come I can’t come, I can’t come I’m filled, I can’t cry I can’t cry, I can’t cry I haven’t seen in a year, Those who’ve seen, oh beloved, I’ll die for their eyes The rivers don’t bring water They don’t bring any news from you Your heart must be frozen Your love, oh beloved, they don’t bring it in vain I stopped, I can’t come I can’t come, I can’t come I’m filled, I can’t cry I can’t cry, I can’t cry I haven’t seen in a year, Those who’ve seen, oh beloved, I’ll die for their eyes». ❤❤❤❤

The instrument he played at the beginning is called Dombra. Sareri Hovin Mernem ("I will die for the wind of the mountains") is a popular Armenian melody rescued by Vardapet Komitas. (He is recognized as one of the pioneers of ethnomusicology). In the end Dimash is imitating the sound of Duduk (Armenian woodwind instrument). Dimash is the best performer in the entire galaxy!! Bravo Dimash!! 💐💐💐💐💐💐💐

If you want to see/hear him play the dombra you have to see Daididau. This song is very sad and it tells about a very dark time in the history of Kazakhstan, not so long ago. To understand the song, I always advise to take the link from Gloria Wu’s channel as it shows the background story and also has English subtitles. The Kazakh poet and writer Magzhan Zumabayev was sentenced by the Russian regime to 10 years in prison for conspiracy in 1929 and imprisoned. While in cusody there, he was falsely told that his wife had left him. If I am correctly informed he is said to have written the lines of the song in prison (as a letter to his wife), probably to express his deep sadness and despair over is. Although he was released in 1934, he was arrested again a few months later and was executed 1937. The lyrics of this song are so sad I could cry every time I hear it. It never leaves me unmoved. Even after hearing it so many times. I was at his concert in Düsseldorf and he sang this song with us Dears there too. This song is one he always performs in his concerts, plays the Dombra (a Kazakh folk instrument), and asks his Dears to sing along with him in his Kazakh language (he looks like a Kazakh Prince with his traditional clothing). Every Dear knows many of his lyrics in Kazakh and loves to sing his songs with him at his concerts. I find it incredibly impressive and wonderful how a single man manages to bring together so many people from meanwhile 150 different countries and continents with so many different views in politics or religion, with so many different languages in a common group and to celebrate peacefully together and to sing in his own language. You always can see how proud he is of his country and how happy and moved he is when the audience sings with him in his concerts🥰. There is another version of this song that I would like to recommend, but only after or together with the one from the singer competition. And that's the one from his Bastau concert. This concert was his first solo concert after performing in The Singer competition in 2017. He has invited about 100 dombra players to this concert, who together with him perform a short instrumental, Adai, before Daididau. That's also very impressive. But that, if you want, later. It’s really worth it. The Singer: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tOs7rkn36L0.html Bastau: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ra4v19Rp6cQ.html e, also at his Bastau concert, is nothing short of spectacular. Even the stage show is just awesome. His Bastau concert was the same year after the end of the Singer Competition. I'm very happy you found Dimash. Love from Germany👋

Instrument called'dombra.But it's not Armenian.It's Kazak national instrument.
@bekydelacaridadtoledogutie1839
IT IS THE FAMOUS ARMENIAN FOLK SONG "I WILL DIE IN THE SHADOW OF THE MOUNTAINS". At the end he makes with his voice the sound of a traditional Armenian flute called Duduk. Those Armenian women, they were enraptured as if in a trance listening to him, well, just like the rest of the audience... and all of us watching the video too...🤭... There are already 15 languages in which he has sung, only officially. PS: There is a video of him imitating the sound of the Kazakh Kobiz with his bare voice at a rehearsal previous to Almaty Concert.
