Hi Susan. Yes, the backstory of Autumn Strong is sad (but the end is not tragic - the actress who got deported to Japan made herself a new career there). However, the original Japanese song Ikanaide by the charismatic singer Koji Tamaki tells about a man losing his partner and not about the actress. The melody is the same, but the lyrics are different. I have read in the comments that Dimash nowadays sings part of the song in Mandarin and part in Japanese in his solo concerts.
