Did you know both of his parents are well known singers in Kazakhstan? He went to musical school where he received classical opera training and took piano lessons. He plays our national instrument dombra so beautifully. He won competitions in both voice and piano in Kazakhstan and outside of Kazakhstan ( 1st place in Belarus and 2nd place in China). He is a modest, kind and respectful guy. And he is a Kazakh like me. I am very proud of him and his achievements. You go, Dimash!
@@wrae111590 by "overrated" are you pertaining to dimash? it's funny if you do because it's true that vocal coaches say that his capabilities and limits in singing is "far from human", all these kind of descriptions suits him and are deserved by him.
@@chiuki5429 Yes. That's what I meant. I would agree that he's a great singer but to say that his singing capabilities are out of this world, it's an exaggeration! Because if it is true, I would have been impressed when he sang "My heart will go on" but I wasn't. Meaning, not all his performances are flawless. Plus the fact that there's a lot of people out there who can also do what he could, does that mean we are now living in the world of aliens? I cannot recall when i did move in here. Lol.
Though we cant say hes perfect... cause even if we think hes perfect, he might have some problems that we people his fans dont know... every people in the world had problems, and will have problems
He is handsome he has talent i like him as a singer but personality no one know celebs personality and people are not angels just because they are celebs so some stuff need to be corrected about celebs
He was literally gonna win the competition like literally he was seen winning but he left so the kids could have an opportunity my respect for dimash 📈📈📈📈📈
@Iñigo Maio a bit harsh. Eilish isn't even in the same genre as Dimash. I'm not a fan of hers, but she's famous for a reason and her music isn't trash like 90% of what exists today.
The judge called Faith was ridiculous. She can’t sing half the range he does. He was fantastically marvelous, outstanding, in a world of his own! He is also very humble. He gave his grandmother a prestigious award he won and had her come on stage for the audience to acknowledge her. When his dad surprised him at a singing show he was on, he hugged him so tightly while humbly asking if he had done a good job. This man is phenomenal! I have to see him live in concert somewhere on this earth!!!❤️
I agree. I couldn't believe she criticized him for not giving himself to the audience. He gave it all on stage. I dont know how much more he could have given. If she meant that he wasn't connecting with the audience, then the fault lies with the judging. I connected with him as I'm sure everyone else listening and watching also felt his power and emotion.
@@dropshot8840 I think she meant to say more direct eye contact. There were a lot of time he had his eyes closed and yes I know that he was feeling the song and got lost in it. Plus I can't imagine how many vocal techniques he has to remember while performing at the same time! Dimash should watch Paul McCartney or Judy Garland live performances if he wants good references to learn from as far as giving all of yourself to an audience. Judy especially knew how important it was to connect with the audience and bare your soul for them while singing especially singing ballads.
I always thought Faith Hill was “thick” in the head, just didn’t realize how thick. She can’t sing a note… she’s all auto tune. I saw her live a long time ago, and I left early. She’s horrible. The only thing good about her is she married to Tim McGraw.
I don’t understand why anyone would put a thumbs down. I know some people thinks he gets too loud. But he’s showing what he’s capable of doing. He’s been studying music since he was 4 yrs old. He does have a teacher/trainer. He also plays the piano and the drums. His mother is an opera singer. I’ve never heard anyone like him.
@@cicada4056 The way you construct sentences is annoying also. And you don't seem to have any other "great" talent to compensate for it. So.....................................
Songs and Music, I think not necessary compare and contrast, it only hurts, It's so personal our feelings and reactions to the songs and singers, rather we should enjoy the vocals beauty, the lyrics for us to resonated the meaning the songs carries, as singer sincerely delivered us from their hearts and souls.
Dimash can sing in 100 different languages. He is the master of human and animal language. Even animals are amazed by Dimash the Legend. I played Dimash songs while I was at a Zoo, then all the animals were amazed by his amazing range.
How have i not heard of Dimash till this week? He is absolutely the best singer in terms of range and ability to xontrol his voice that exists and may have ever existed. I love that he mixes genres and brings sifferent music ro people. I love that he celebrates hos heritage by wearing cultural apparal. I love his humble personality. I love his smile. He is a beautiful young man that has clearly worked very hard hos entire life to allow his talent to bloom.
"I want you to give yourself to us".🙉 Ma'am this young man sang so good that not only did he give himself, he gave us his ancestors and their forefathers😂💚💚💚
I find this incredible guy 2 years late but even i cant resist his octaves. I don't understand why some idiots say he is shouting. This is not shouting this is his high octaves. How i wish i had that type of voice . Love Dimash
Many people that say it sounds like he is screaming say it because his voice does not sound really full when he belts. His resonance decreases as he goes up, and his voice seems to be coming from his throat. Maybe this will help.
@@spanishlessons4075 I don't understand cause I am no musician😓😓 When people say he is screaming I thought it's like arghhhhhhhhhhhh kinda scream so I said that. If they had given reasons like this maybe I would have ignored it 🤐🤐. Anyway I don't understand wht u mean but thanks for the reply and clarification. .😃😃😃🤗🤗🤗
@@santiagovag5383 Dimash does not place the sound in his mask when he is going up; he places it in his throat. Watch this video so you can learn about resonance. If you listen to singers like Mariah Carey 1990-1996 and Laura Fabian, you can perceive how they do not lose their resonance as they go up. They place the sound in their masks and not in their throats. Mariah can still do it, but her voice is damaged. Celine Dion, for instance, tends to lose resonance as she goes up and sounds a bit throaty at times. Her voice thins out as she goes higher. An example of this is her long note in All by myself. In the "anymOOOooore" part, she loses resonance in the "OOO", but then regains it when she switches to the next note in "ooore". Whitney Houston, the voice, also tended to lose resonance as she went up, but in the mid-belts, she was a beast. I am not a musician either, but my ears tell me when a singer is producing good notes with resonance and when they are losing it as they go up. Not everybody is able to perceive that. I hope this helps. Best. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Gz-plqEyxik.html
@@spanishlessons4075 as a vocal coach i agree on that, but his performance really nailed it. The only problem he's technique is more opera style, that's why his version of all by myself are way different because this song is a ballad pop. So that's why it sounds his screaming even he was not.
@@qwertyasdfgh-dm6cs yeah, his "lower" stuff when he uses his full voice before he goes into his falsetto phrases is wonderful and i wish he show cased it more. It's so full and resonate and not like screaming at all.
Why would this singer participate to ANY competition(the voice etc....)is beyond comprehension!!!He is in a league of his own...far beyond the approval of any judge!Indeed how can your normal variety pop star even judge this guy?!?!!!OUTSTANDING leaps immediately to mind....🥳👏👏👏
When he sings, his high octaves are so powerful and passionate that... I can't put it into words... Desperate, anger, passion is there and I feeeeeeeel it!! Passes through my soul!
That is very impressive, but what struck me the most is how easy that seemed for him. Watching and listening it is clear he has a lot more than that. Amazing voice!
When he started to sing its so beautiful absolutely I love his personality very charming and very unique When he hit that high note wow I have goosebumps 😍 ❤
This is not a Celine Dion cover. Celine Dion’s version was a cover. This is a song written and originally performed by Eric Carmen, the lead singer of The Raspberries, in 1975. Don’t get me wrong…Dimash is breathtakingly amazing and this is a great performance. But this was a huge hit for Eric Carmen in 1975 - 21 years before Celine Dion covered it.
@@AnthonySmith-zi5vd Based on the majority of comments, “we ALL” do NOT actually know that; and I think it’s important that the original creator gets some credit for the song itself. It’s a great song, and the covers - including this one - are great. Nothing wrong with giving the original artist(s) the credit they deserve once in a while. Without them, this song wouldn’t be available to cover so well. And maybe it’s because I was in radio, but I know there are some people who actually are interested in that type of information and would appreciate having it. That was my point…which you clearly missed.

All my achievements in life just come to nothing after listening to that voice. Absolutely understand that I didnt even approach to the understanding of human being. This voice is out of space
What does that crazy lady mean by “give more soul” like clearly she wasn’t listening to him sing cuz I had SHIVERS down my spine, I felt connected to him in a way I never did it was a very SOULFUL performance
He is not lacking at all in talent, technique, or performance but those things don't make a performance soulful. Soul is deep in ur spirit. He is VERY talented and he is def one of the best singers of all damn time but that wasn't soulful. No shade.
@@cujaang No, I don't think the 2nd and 3rd octaves are considered high. Check his whole music, this is a snippet of what he does. See Stranger, Passione, Sinful Passion, Love is like a Dream, for example. Or if you want to hear him sing low/middle only, see his duet with Aida Garifulina, Ulisse.

I love watching those voice Teachers lose their minds over Dimash incredible Talent & I see some Jealousy.
With all due respect, Faith Hill, you should give the credit to our Dimash. I love your country songs but does anyone outside the U.S.A know you and heard of your songs? It is time for the new generation of singers have their time and showcase their talents. Despite all the negative things you said about him, look where he is now. He is a global super star! He plays multiple instruments ( I.e., piano, dombra, drums, guitar, saxophone) and sings in multiple languages. He is classically trained as an opera singer and offered a spot in the National opera house in the capital of Kazakhstan. Both of his parents are well known singers in Kazakhstan. All I am saying is that to give this guy a chance and stop criticising him without much thought given and understanding what he is trying to accomplish as an artist. Again, Faith, with much respect and love.
“All by Myself" is a song by American singer-songwriter Eric Carmen released in 1975. The verse is based on the second movement (Adagio sostenuto) of Sergei Rachmaninoff's circa 1900-1901 Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Opus 18. The chorus was taken from the song "Let's Pretend", which Carmen wrote and recorded with the Raspberries in 1972.[5] The slide guitar solo was performed by studio guitarist Hugh McCracken.[6]
