👉 It all started with this competition:: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Dimash was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash. "All By Myself" was the 9. song in the competition “The Singer 2017”. The singers had 1 week to learn a song and create the arrangement. Dimash did not speak English at the time and learned the text phonetically. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently.
