Tauri, great reaction! Dimash sings so many different styles/genres you may find your ‘match’ among his many performances. Samaltau is a sad Kazakh folk song with unusual instruments. Sinful Passion has several surprises in it. In Love Is Like a Dream he spends time in his lower register, then boom! For English subtitles try Dimash’s channel or Gloria Wu’s RU-vid channel. The latter also gives the backstory behind Daybreak and Autumn Strong which are true stories, and important to understand to really appreciate his emotional performances. More Dimash please!

Never apologize for being a metal head and not liking pop; you just have a different taste in music, as every one has their own taste in things. A couple of things you may or or may not know: 1) The first part of Confessa was in Chinese, but the latter was in Italian. During the Singer 2017 competition he sang in at least 6 of 12 languages he has sung- French, Russian, Chinese, Kazakh, English, and Italian (I'm not counting Alien in the Diva Dance); 2) His father Kanat is the middle gentleman at 6:37; both of Dimash's parents are singers in Kazakhstan. I agree with the recommendations to react to: 1) Dimash and Li Yugang- Drunken Concubine + Diva Dance. (Li Yugang is a "mandan" = sings female role in Chinese Opera) 2) Dimash and Tengri- Swan Goose (throat singing - very different if you have never heard it) 3) Show Must Go On (Queen)- Episode 3 of The Singer competition 4) Love is Like a Dream (one of many collaborations with Igor Krutoy) Be careful of copyright strikes from The Singer 2017 competition they have happened to a number of reactors in the pas few months

Those are his in ear monitors. It directly gives him the sound of his voice straight to him. Usually singers take one out so they aren't just hearing themselves, so they can get a feel for what the crowd is actually hearing.

He takes out 1 in ear so he can hear himself and the room better. the in ear provides the basic beat of the music to keep up with vocally but sometimes it is a needed thing to hear the surroundings. By the way his performance of just The Diva Dance is even better at his Bastau concert.

Hi, yes there are two more versions of Diva Dance the one I prefer is in a duet he made with Li Yugang( a 41yo chinise opera singer ) is nice to hear how the two different stiles of singing are mixed, and then Domash's range was F#1-F#7 the F#1 was a deep growl/fry at the very beginning of the song and the F#7 in the middle, he covered 6 octave in the same song is INSANE. Face chine peopl was very funny i laugh buy when Dimash sing and high and very and above himself, then he fell because of this and watchen very laugh. I forgot to add, there is a video of Dimash called "Insane Vocals". Don't have the link at this moment. But it goes through a lot of his performances and pulls out the crazy register changes and breath control. And a lot of stuff when he was younger its great. Tauri, as everyone said there is a different version of the Diva Dance, try it also. The reason he takes out the earpiece is first he has 2 earpieces in, so he still has 1 in. The second is that when you sing loud, or full strength it rattles your brain when both are in. And even a lot of singers like to here the background of the room when they go loud so they can hear themselves better. A song he does for the Hainan film festival is My Heart Will Go On from Titanic. Not a ton of craziness, but absolutely beautiful. Have you done the new one, "Your Love". TY for this great reaction! Yes I think he is the best singer in the world, his range, versatility and talent are really out of this world. But yet again I like a male voice in the lower registers like Tenor, Bariton and Bas and a female voice in the higher registers like a Mezzosoprano and Soprano. I cant get used to his high notes yet, but I respect it very much that he can hit it that high, it's just unbelievable. I think it's a matter of time I will get used to his high notes too.

That was a great reaction you just did.Going back to the parts of song to listen again proves you love it.It is indeed remarkable how DIMASH can sing Diva Dance which was the original have been helped by computer to the purpose that no human can sing it...but DIMASH broke the rule. Dimash takes his ear piece when he's about to go "crazy" on notes and runs because he has "Absolute ear" also known as Absolute pitch (AP). It's a rare ability of a person to identify or re-create a given musical note without the benefit of a reference tone. Physically and functionally, the auditory system of an absolute listener does not appear to be different from that of a non-absolute listener. Absolute pitch is an act of cognition, needing memory of the frequency, a label for the frequency (such as "B-flat"), and exposure to the range of sound encompassed by that categorical label. Absolute pitch may be directly analogous to recognizing colors, phonemes (speech sounds), or other categorical perception of sensory stimuli.

Tara Simon explained this in her review of SOS explaining the in ear being taken out. It is so that you can hear the sound better in where ever you singing and also hear what the audience is hearing, which helps him basically also hit that sweet spot on the pitch. Otherwise really enjoyed the reaction and no enough people react to this one.

When I use an ear piece while singing I take one off because when you heave both on you can't hear the people in the audience you hear the people singing with you and the instruments, we need them because even in our church which is not that big when everyone is singing and everyone is playing you are absolutely deaf and even with the floor monitors you can't hear the singers or the musicians, when I don't wear them i guide myself by the lips of the person singing next to me, but you have to know what key the song is if not you'll be off tune. Sometimes if you keep them on for too long your head would hurt and at some high notes you feel as if your head is going to explode, I finish with a big headache, so I remove one and it feels more comfortable. That is my personal experience and everyone's is different.

I’ve vocal coaches say they take one earpiece out to hear what the audience hears. That with both in all the time makes them feel claustrophobic. He did it in sos. But in the China show when he had both in the audience was noisy. So he had to hear hear all the music. I think a piano plays then stops and he sings on the off beat. I would say that most of the times they have to hear the music at the beginning because of noisy audiences. And because he’s so well loved by the audience he’s going to have to have it in the beginning of songs.

I threw a few more suggestions in, Love is like a dream its really amazing. There is ADAGIO where he plays the piano its crazy. HELLO by Lionel Richie, its crazy. My Heart Will Go On, its beautiful. "Daybreak Behind The Scenes", it will make you cry."All By Myself" its fantastic. But almost anything he does is super crazy. I wanted to give you a link for your entertainment. This will floor you and in a good way. There was a girls 80's rock glam band ( for lack of a better term, that is what the bands looked like in the 80's) called Vixen .The funny part about this is that these girls are now around 60 and could easily be your grandmothers age. Love the Tenor part, but then it went off the rails for me. I can imagine Tarja Turunen doing the Diva Dance, but a man singing what sounds close to a Castrato doesn't sound good to my ears, however much I appreciate how hard it is to achieve. Notice that he keeps the right ear monitor in. I think he has the music mix in his right ear, and his voice in his left ear. When he really lets loose, I bet the volume in that ear drowns the other out - and hearing damage could be a possibility if there wasn't someone adjusting the volume while he sang. Another great reaction! As others have mentioned, Dimash did Diva Dance at Bastau which is even better! Could you please consider reacting to Chenyu Hua as well? He's considered one of the most influential singer-songwriters in China today. I consider him and Dimash in a class of their own. He brings such raw emotion to his songs, and at times has used his past to draw on for his arrangements. He also blends genres easily and carves his own path (rock/rap/ballad/etc). While Dimash has no equal to us many of us also like Hua Chenyu. He is an incredible artist from China that is also very unpredictable. You might get a ballad, or rock, or rap, or traditional, or drama or all of these in one song with Hua. He can have you rocking out, crying, or holding your breath. Should be remembered the the movie's score was lip synced in its entirety and computer enhanced for the about 10%(the movie vocalist said) she could not perform. Although he has has better performances of this song, he does not use electronics except echo. Echo is nice but if your note is off and a live performance, you hear the off note 20 times. Anyhow, should be noted that the prerecorded movie track isn't as good in my opinion. Of course this is the genius voice of our generation.
