Dimash is a genius! A great storyteller and paradigm breaker! Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality... Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is: A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures. Iskander Yerbolat's plot intrigues us to solve the mystery of the entire tale being a dream of a journalist who interviews “DQ”, or being a reality where the “vampire” did not bite his “prey” out of love! Intriguing... The video is a show in itself: Desaturated with vivid red details (umbrella, blood in the hands, blood in the pool, advertising sign, neon on the mirror...), a classic Rolls Royce, a gloomy and modern mansion and lots of details. As background music, he uses the work “Flower Duet” (Lakimé) by Léo Delibes. To create an old and suspenseful atmosphere, he does not use the 1968 edition and recording, by Joan Sutherland and Jane Berbié, but rather the original version from 1915, sung by Alexandrovna Mikhailova and Ivanovna Panina, recorded with a gramophone! The music video is a story that pays homage to several classic dramas involving supernatural creatures and passion! The impeccable editing with precise cuts that complete the script, simple and extremely efficient effects and masterful performances: Dimash (the seductive and tormented vampire, Polina Guzieva (the passionate journalist), Manuel de Jesús Sánchez Sotolongo (the sinister butler) and the harem of soulless vampires (Angelin Sapozhnikova, Valeriya Lyasheva, Andreana Tkachenko, Maria Aristatarkhova, Lilia Kiser and Klinnyushina Alina), superb! The music is a show in itself: a mix of Blue, Scat, Jazz, R&B, Rock... Captivating variations: a bridge to the chorus full of strength and seduction and a beautiful chorus inspired by classic rock and dexterity and Dimash's agility! In addition to the well-placed guitar solo performed by Abik Jeksen! Love seeing this soulful side of Dimash! I too believe she was there and I think even though he really wanted to, he decided not to bite her and turn her into a vampire. Like he didn't want to tarnish the perfection he sees in her and that he loves her too much to do that to her. Just my thoughs.

I don’t think she was another victim. She is his “Gateway To Heaven”, so Vampires are not destined to heaven. Also, her gown is WHITE, Not Black. She goes back into society, so he does not keep her there. There is a “Human” side to this vampire, that is seeking love, and a piece of heaven. You do realize that the classical aria being sung in the background is all Dimash’s voice as well? However, you are very right - this song is lyric heavy, and Dimash cannot tackle fast English lyrics and after watching this once or twice, I can’t really listen to it, as most of his English songs. Today is the first time I’ve seen it with English subtitles and it’s okay... but we should not still have to see titles to help us understand what he’s saying. After so many years supposedly studying English, I just think that he’s learned English from rather poor sources. It’s a pity, because those other singing phenomens, IL Volo, who could not speak a word of English, and are exactly the same age as Dimash, learned their English on the road, and could be understood clearly within a year. He has to get with it if he wants to break into English-speaking markets. It’s just too bad. If he had sung this whole thing in Russian, I would’ve preferred it.
