Dimash is the ONLY singer on the planet that gives me tears, shivers, goosebumps, heart and breath stopping everytime I listen to him, he must be an angel, also NO singer ever did that to me, he deserves a Grammy, Oscar and many more to come!

Hi, I'm from Coventry in England. This was from 2017, he was 22 then. It's a Chinese show called I Am A Singer. It's not a talent contest as such, more of a competition for established award winning singers. Dimash was bought in as wild card entry. Before this performance, he was a complete unknown in China. This was the very first performance of that season. He didn't win, he came second because the rules of the competition precluded anyone outside of China from winning. This was changed the following year when Jessie J from the UK competed and won. Little heads up, don't react to anything from a US show called The Worlds Best, because Dimash's fans hate that show because of how they treated him and lied to him, basically they told him he wouldn't be competing directly against children, which is against his culture and personal views, but it turned out he was, He would be competing against children in the final or semi-final, I can't remember which, he had no option but to withdraw from the competition. He 26 now, is 6'3" , he's been training since he was about four, has two Bachelors Degrees in music, has just gained his Masters with 100% and is going on to do his Doctorate in music. He performs in about 12 different languages and speaks fluent Kazak, Russian, and now also very good English, and is learning Mandarin Chinese.

The following morning he needed security guards for the rest of the series as he'd had 600 Million hits on Weibo the Chinese Instagram. Now 3 years later he is a Megastar in China, Kazakhstan and Russia. Last December he sold out the Barclays Center in New York 19,000 people flew in from all over the world (and the USA) to see him. Thanks for the very entertaining reaction. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. Central Asia. Used to be one of the Republics of the old Soviet Union. This show is called "I Am a Singer" from China. It is a competition show for professional Chinese singers. Dimash was invited as a wild card contestant in 2017. He was 22 at the time. He just turned 26 in May. Dimash is "classically trained" in Opera. He started training at the age of 5. His Mother is a professional Opera singer. His Dad is a singer and record producer. He has multiple music degrees and just received his Masters in Music. He was accepted in an Opera company in his home country, but wanted to expand his musical options. So he became a Pop singer, but still uses his 6+ octave range in his music. He can sing every genre, from Rap to Opera, to Showtunes, to Pop, Ect. He has many videos out there to showcase his talents. If you continue to react to Dimash, try to avoid "The Worlds Greatest" TV show. They cut up the songs on the show and you will not get the best versions there. Thanks again for you efforts.

Glad you found Dimash. Believe it or not, I see a lot of metalheads fall in love with Dimash. He is considered one of the best vocalists in the world. This was from 2017. You can imagine he's only improved since then, but how can you improve on that? LOL. Dimash has a way of internalizing a song to understand the lyrics and be able to tell a story with his voice and emotions. He's honestly said he doesn't really know how big his range is (it's almost 7 octaves by now), but he wants people to know he doesn't sing high notes to show off. He uses them as a way to express his feelings. Looking forward to more!

Man, i was worry you gonna break that chair. 😂 I actually love his style of clothing. He models some very sharp looking suites in pictures of seen. As far as his performance in US he actually went to the show i think was called "The world best singer" and after performing this song and some others later in the show he found out they had him compete with children which was against his culture and agreement so he requested to leave the show and that was when one of the judges (RuPaul) got very rude and disrespectful with him and told him how dare he comes to the show and waist their time. I don't think I've ever seen Dimash so heart broken before and after that stupid show. But he did have a concert in NY back in December which was awesome from watching the videos of it. Btw, he calls his fans DEARS.

I suggest her performance of either 'bridge over troubled water' or 'lean on me', both from the show 'immortal songs 2' & are in english rather than korean obviously. S.O.S,although very impressive,is only a glimpse of what he is capable of. Dimash sold out New York's Barclays Centre Arena (December 10th, 2019) despite beyond appearing briefing on forgettable 'World's Best' show, no other appearances on US tv shows, not on US radios, no articles on him in any US newspapers and magazines, none of his albums sold in physical stores in US. Fans from more than 60 countries attended this concert. US fans from more than 42 states attended this concert.

And while you are there, see a couple of the other major talents reactors found on Singer 2018, starting with the multi-talented Hua Chenyu's song "Nunchucks", and KZ Tandingan's cover of "Rolling In The Deep", which won her the episode.

By the way, this competition, Singer 2017, is nothing like AGT. It’s not for beginners. It’s for seasoned singers with a minimum of one music award under their belt. Organized by and streamed over Hunan TV in China. All the other contestants were Chinese, from not only China but also Taiwan, HongKong, Singapore, Canada, etc. Dimash was the only non-Chinese and therefore a total unknown. That is why the audience gave him a loud encouragement at the beginning. Thrown in as a wild card, and practically no fans in China (only around a thousand followers in his Weibo account). After this performance of S.O.S., that changed and his followers shot up to 2.4 million literally overnight. Dimash didn’t win technically (took second place) but he did so realistically when his career took off like a shooting star. The clothes by the way, are by a French designer. Waiting to see more of your Dimash reaction. I would advise you to watch next his live performance of Screaming at Idol Hits. Totally different styl!

The attire he wore was not of his choosing but the producers of the show. He is tall, 6' 3 " and the wardrobe of the show was for a generally shorter performer. with the pants being much too short. Hi is from Kazakhstan and his people are generally Eurasian. They are a very peaceful people with very loving ways. His mother is a soprano opera singer and his father is a pop singer. He and his family still stick to very traditional ways as far as family is concerned and in greeting others with blessings instead of cursing's. They do not believe in using alcohol, smoking or using illicit drugs. He bows to those he meets and is very humble though having people come strongly against him. He pays them back with great mercy, and grace. He was sorely mistreated by a Worlds best competition here in the US and made his decision to never be affiliated with the US music business. He did come to the US for a concert, and was a great success. If he performs here, it is under his terms and ways.
