Let me give you some info on this incredible trio and event: • Igor is there as an overall lead because the event is built for him: this is his birthday event that he organized with all his favorite artists, the ones that he is used to collaborate with and the songs he has composed • This is not the first time that Lara sings this song (composed by Igor) in trio but the third time: she performed in the original version with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. The song was composed from day one with her voice in mind. She has been collaborating with Igor for more than 10 years and he has told from her that she is “the best singer and the best songwriter he has ever worked with” • This also explains why the song does not exposes more of Dimash’s upper register: it was written for the late Dmitri who was a pure baryton. • Lara was very very sick that day, with fever and strong medication but she is skilled enough to have made it unnoticeable • Also, like Dimash, and even if the song was composed that way with her in mind, Lara does not sing in her real « comfort zone »: she is, as Aida, a lyrical soprano but here she plays the role in the trio of a mezzo-soprano and takes the median register. It requires a lot of voice control to not interfere with Aida’s high note and does not allow her to really shine. She gives room to Aida to do it instead and Aida uses this magnificently. • It was the first time Dimash met his idol Lara (he is a fan since he is a child and he covered several of her songs such as Adagio, Love of Tired Swans, Mademoiselle Hyde, Know, …): look how quickly he turned to her, despite he has not finished his duo section with Aida 😂 And how he looks at her and hold her after it … • Lara is the most comfortable in italian because it is her first native language even before french: her mother is italian and while born in Belgium she spent her first 5 years in sicilia before returning there. She also is married to a sicilian man • Look how dimash slightly adapted his vibrato to better match Aida or Lara • Also there is a debate about the final note, held for such a long time, with the conductor looking at Igor and Igor smiling: Did they make a prank to the singers by extending this last note? Or did the singers instead played with them? I personnally think this is more option 1 😀 • I forgot to add that Lara has been classically trained for more than 10 years at Brussels Royal Conservatory and still continues to receive voice lessons on a daily basis. And she has sung many times opera pieces or with opera singers. • Final note to say that Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics of the song Your Love for Dimash

FUNNY STORY told by Lara in an interview,, in rehearsal for this, Aida cocked her head toward Dimash saying.. Hey If I have to run out for something he can sing my part ... and promptly burst into a fit of laughter ! They came unglued. Could NOT get it together OK enough we're ready. One would look at the other singing and get hysterical ! She said when Aida bit her lip to keep from laughing, choked and snorted a note through her nose Igor was pounding on the piano lid crying he was laughing so hard Lunch ! he croaked Break ! That'll work she said, we got coats, and sailed laughing and smiling out the door, I looked at my watch and it was 9:30 in the morning. Hilarious ! The audience went nuts and I was the same. She was so funny !
@@anahills3836 I'm sitting here racking my brain. She was so funny telling it, being everybody in the story, cocking her head , biting her lip, oh I just remembered ! She said our eyes darting everywhere to keep from looking at each was funnier! She told it so well that's how I remembered it. Imitating and laughing at herself but I'm damned if I can remember where. I lived in England, the States..grew up in Kazakhstan oh hell Quazakstan, I'll never get used to that. Dimash was Kudaibergen forever. France maybe. She could have been speaking French, she's Belgian. can't remember, not even the interviewer. She's tiny but she fills a room when she talks, I'm seeing it but nada. Another favorite of mine was a birthday video 5 years ago ? A bunch of people filmed a birthday greeting for him and put it all together. Lara was in her kitchen at the sink and saying all these candid great things and the piano in another room starts with a bellowing off key rendition of happy birthday sung, her husband who keeps stopping yelling happy birthday Dimash how my doing' and her answering you can't sing ! and laughing sorry Dimash I tried.
