A must! You should watch the live version of him singing this song at his Almanty concert part 3 at about the 25 min mark. It will blow you away because you won't be distracted by the movie. Thank you.😊😊

Sorry but the mv is not a distraction but is very important for this song..Without the mv you cannot understand perfectly what is the very important meaning and message of the song and another important thing is thst in this song the vocal range and the high notes are not important but are more important other things, and this is what think and say Dimash and are not just my words..And probably without the mv the song don't exist..And another thing, unfortunately the live versions in his concerts attract the negative comments of the haters about playback/lipsinc against Dimash and his work..So who suggest the live version don't do the best work for Dimash but just for himself..The Boss King Angel And The Living Legend Dimash

The thing with Dimash is not just his vocal skill...but his delivery encompasses such a depth of emotional conviction. It's not acted or overly sappy. It's real. An instrument, no matter how fine, is only as good as the one playing it. Americans may find this very heavy, but we have no experience with the horrors of war in regards to it happening to our families on our home turf. But we need to be aware. We must remain in touch with the seriousness of what can exist in the reality of life. I agree with the others...she should watch his live performance of this amazing score at his concert at Almaty. Thank you for this reaction and look forward to more.

Dimash is a real ambassador of peace. Peace has always been a big concern for him. 2017 he composed the melody for his song „War And Peace“. He participated in conventions for peace. He often talks about piece in interviews and since The Story Of One Sky was released he talks about peace at every concert before performing that song. He even became Goodwill Ambassador of the UN for migration in Central Asia (Asia?).

As much as this masterpiece is like a masterclass in vocal technique, it is a challenge emotionally and morally to watch in this situation. I have commented in the past that the newer dears need to be at a place in their appreciation of Dimash to not be as surprised by the vocal abilities before they watch The Story of One Sky. This would not be my introduction to Dimash- nothing to do with the calibre of the song, but because of the layers and nuances. I do believe the MV should be seen before the live version but both should be seen. The physicality of Dimash’s performance is staggering. Cheers from Canada!

There are other theories about the ending, such as: that was the afterlife, and it was Dimash's spirit leading the others. But I agree with your take, Uncle Scott. I think it was Dimash's son. As Jackie said, "there's so much to unpack", but I'd also like to mention the incredible composition by Dimash!! There is so much going on in this video that it takes multiple viewings/hearings to grasp every aspect and tie it all together. Great reaction from both of you!

And education, and knowledge, and cultural and musical background, and simply respect to what is said, it is a Requiem. There is no light, no color in the end, watch it again! No more music, horns, instruments, voices, sounds. He's done with you. With us. With all the religions that are now following him in silence heads down. Dimash prayed, called, warned, but people are deaf. It is a REQUIEM.

Congrats on the reaction! Well, some considerations: (1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya! (2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time); (3) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). After hypnotizing the rats with his magic flute and drowning them in the Weser, the artist went to collect the amount owed (one coin per head) and was not paid (they alleged that he did not present the "heads" of the rats). He then hypnotized one hundred and thirty children from the city of Hamelin and locked them in a cave. Yeah, well, the "pied piper" (also called "ratcatcher") has become synonymous with the tyrant who uses a mesmerizing speech and leads to death! (4) The term "Imagine" refers to the song of the same name by John Lennon; (5) The final text is part of the document generated at the 2019 Congress of World Religious Leaders and the music presented at the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, held in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) on 14/09/2022 and was attended by of Pope Francis, representing the Catholic Church and who presented Dimash, on the occasion, with a medal of gratitude.

More movie details: More details about the film: (1) The two boys competed for the girl's attention; (2) The character (who Dimash represents as an adult) created a symbol to confirm the friendship between the three, after being saved by his friend; (3) Still in the video we see the girl choose "Dimash" and then they get married and have the little girl (who was killed) as a daughter and the mother is pregnant with another boy; (4) The oldest boy (who saved "Dimash" from drowning) does not accept being abandoned by the girl and becomes a dictator president/general; (5) Dimash becomes a soldier who decides to return from combat to protect his war refugee family; (6) Dimash finds his daughter dead and thinks that his wife had also died, so he decides to take revenge on his friend; (7) He kills the dictator and is killed regretting the violence he committed in life; (8) Dimash's wife is well received by people of different religions who agree that Dimash's son is someone special; (9) The wife dies in childbirth and Dimash's son becomes a leader who leads the refugees to a better place of tolerance, respect and acceptance.

These are my views on this amazing masterpiece Story of One Sky - The boy who was drowning was (Dimash's character as a child) made the necklaces that were given to the girl who grew up to be (Dimash's pregnant wife) and the boy who saved him who (grew up to be the military leader), possibly out of jealousy. The military leader waged his war The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end!!! The Dimash at the end can also be seen as Dimash in the afterlife leading others to the light in peace. Dimash takes his revenge on his former friend. The new baby represented a new innocent life beginning as the father dies. (And he does die) also the mother died in childbirth. The baby grew up to be a leader of men who seek peace. He wore his parents necklace, to always remember. One of the most profound lines in The Story of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. MONEY, GREED and POWER. This video needs to be shown worldwide. Something else I noticed is in his dying breath he sang (We're Choosing Life) as he finally passed away now that is powerful

It's a great mv from Dimash the only thing I regret 😢😢😢is that there are no women following him to the future. I think it would be hard for us humans to go forward in this world without women present.😊😊😊😊😊😊

I've already said that he the best singer in the world. He can do anything that he wants with his voice. He just wants peace. I don't know how much money that he has given to that end. It's a lot. He is Muslim, I am Christian. I have read the Old and New Testament several times. I have read the Koran once. It is basically a reiteration of the Old Testament and part of the New. Mu Muslims only see Christ as a prophet, not the son of God. That Sharia law BS came after Muhammad. To be honest, the Jews had weird rules of their own. Sharia law turned the Muslims and Jews/Christians against each other Dimash is just trying to bring them back together. Must listen and must hear. Go with God. I'm not Catholic. I am a fan of Martin Luther, so I am a Baptist. If you didn't know, he created the first Protestant religion. Music can bring us together.

Any good work always allows the viewer to become a co-author, allows us to create interpretations ourselves, but within the limits of the main author's message. A complex work often requires repeated careful viewing. This film is full of symbolism. From the very first seconds, we are shown frames of the cyclical nature of the story, but we will be able to understand this only after a second viewing. An obscure figure, a drowning man... Is this a young man dying on the threshold of his big life, or is this a warrior who completed his life path both for himself and for many other people? We are at the beginning of the life cycle, and the lace in the foreground unequivocally reminds us of the umbilical cord. A boy who has just drowned is ready for his second birth... Dimash's first message: we are born equal, pure, potentially good people. Children are an unwritten book in which life can fit any plot. We see three friends who, as children, are full of nobility and courage (an older boy selflessly saves his friend), a thirst for knowledge of the world and a thirst to share these discoveries. However, already at these stages, the first signs of disagreement appear: a brave boy, pumping out a friend, looks for approval from a girl with his eyes. He wants to look like a hero in her eyes. But the girl does not notice this, her heart has already been given to another, and only his fate cares about her. That's the first disappointment of life - a feat will not make you a hero. You can't expect a fair reward from people. A friend may not meet your expectations. What other disappointments will this boy know, who eventually transforms from a selfless young man into a ruthless and cynical dictator? The amulet (the arrow of the solar clock showing both time and direction) has become a symbol of different ideas in the hands of our heroes. For a couple in love, it is a symbol of unity, indicating their common path (they have become a married couple, they have a daughter and a son will be born in the final). Another boy never accepted this amulet as a symbol of friendship (he does not wear it on his chest near his heart), he bent it in a fit of rage (thus the arrow stopped pointing the right way) and used this amulet upside down as a symbol of his false inverted ideals. He became a dictator (in the lyrics of the song - a Pied Piper, who draws children to destruction with the sounds of his lying flute). Many years later we see that the Dictator unleashed a bloodbath in the name of his false ideals. Many believe that Dimash portrays the opposing side of Good to Evil. I see something else. A patch on the sleeve of Dimash's character is poked into our eyes several times: a complex interweaving of sharp corners and circles. Dimash's character is not a leader, he is an ordinary soldier who has also taken some ideological side. What do these circles and angles represent? Who stands behind Dimash's character and pushes him into battle? Maybe he's protecting his city from invasion? Apparently not! Everything points to the fact that this is a civil war, because the action takes place in their hometown. All three of them lived in this city, and now they are feuding and destroying their home. Waldenberg in this clip is the personification of the whole planet. We all live under the same sky. And in this sense, ANY WAR is a civil war, fueled by various but ALWAYS false ideas, including territorial claims. I think this is the second message of Dimash, directly following from the title of the clip. Therefore, behind the back of Dimash's character is another exactly the same Pied Piper, with complex, confusing and false ideas pushing his followers into this meat grinder. The plaque with the name of the city in Gothic script Waldenberg is a direct reference to the real German city of Waldenburg, completely destroyed by Allied troops during World War II, when there was no need at all, because by the end of the war there were mostly only women and children in this city. The one who was supposed to bring good brought evil. Dimash's third message is that war has no good sides. All participants in wars are somehow agents of evil. Is it an accident that Waldenburg translates as "The City of Waldemar"? Well, or Vladimir in the Slavic version. Both leaders of the modern confrontation are called Vladimir ... Dimash certainly sympathizes with his character, he understands what exactly drives his hero, but does not justify his actions. When his character, driven by anger, despair and revenge, comes to the Dictator for retribution, then a storm begins in a world where souls of different faiths, cultures, ethnicities, epochs who have chosen the road to light (good) have been walking along a thorny road for thousands of years of human history! Dimash's character, having killed his savior, thanks to whom he lived all these years, immediately receives karma in return and returns to the waters of nothingness, where he should have stayed many years ago. At the moment of death, the thirst for life gives him the last most powerful life lesson: acceptance of the idea of the primordial value of human life. FOR EVERYONE WITHOUT EXCEPTION! Even for a Dictator! Even for his daughter's murderers! This is the fourth very important message of Dimash. In a near-death epiphany, his hero sees in flashbacks the moments of his life, both bright (shots from his childhood) and unrighteous (shots of how he takes the lives of his opponents). Dimash's fifth message is to rethink your values, it's never too late to repent. It is this repentance that allows the soul of Dimash's character to transform and be reborn in the best version of himself. The waters into which our hero fell are also an allegory for amniotic fluid, an allegory of reincarnation in the body of his newborn son, who, having received such a powerful life attitude from his father, will never take up arms again and will not join any side of the conflict. The soul of a warrior sinks to the bottom of Nothingness completely. All three characters die in this story at the same time, allowing a new soul to be born, giving hope for a better future for Humanity. Dimash is a Muslim, and he does not preach the idea of reincarnation. Reincarnation here is just a metaphor necessary to convey his messages. The souls of the righteous, who once accepted the simple truth about the primary value of human life, raising their hands to the dazzling Light that flooded the horizon, meet their new follower, who joined their march towards Light and Goodness. He is an equal among them, who has accepted his mission as a shepherd, among others, each of whom carries his mission on this path: someone blows a horn, calling for unification, someone brings enlightenment to the masses (a book is a symbol of knowledge), someone carries his cross, and someone leaves the race unable to withstand the hardships of the way. It is important to understand that Dimash’s hero is not reborn into the Messiah or another leader, because throughout the entire clip Dimash says: do not trust ANY leaders, you cannot know their true intentions, you cannot recognize the Pied Piper by hearing his pipe. Choosing the direction towards the Light is all that is needed. We see how travelers begin to overtake the follower who has joined them again. He does not lead them, he is simply the last one at this moment in time. But this is not for long, and they all go in the same direction - towards the Light, towards the Good. We are the next ones who must replenish this flow of souls. The fifth message of Dimash - the simple acceptance of the idea of renouncing weapons and violence will allow each of us to join this stream of righteous souls. Only when WE ALL join this stream, only then will the wars stop. Dimash wrote the music and script for this video based on his own long-standing story. Everything we see and hear is the flesh of the flesh of feelings, thoughts, ideas of Dimash. Dimash is an ancient soul.

Very interesting team work between you two. I enjoyed listening. I don't agree with Jackie about the range though. About 10 years ago Dimash only had about 6 octave. Now he has more than seven. In one of the videos it appears that at school Dimash practiced falsetto a lot, although his teacher had forbidden him to do so. So I believe a range is not a fixed thing. By the way, Dimash can now sing higher than G8 but when asked about it he said the sound was not pleasant to the ear.

Have you picked up on, that the middle section of the song , have different religious representation, through his singing style, The “om” of the monks, which in itself can represent lots of religions, the church bells and angelic song of Christianity and then the Middle Eastern prayer of perhaps Islam. There could be more but that’s the only ones I’ve noted. It truly is a masterpiece for so many reasons.

She should be free to watch n her own s😢pace & time & own pure response - without you pulling her attention away by laughing like a drain at critical points. Like when he finds his dead daughter or the wife screaming in childbirth. Her struggle to do split second shifts between reacting to you and to what she was seeing on screen was really ... 'off' '.
