Igor Krutoy composed it specifically for Dimash, to perform at the opening ceremonies of the Euro Games. The encouraging focus of the lyrics was intended to inspire athletes in their performances. And, as usual, Dimash's performance was beyond fabulous.
In the performance, Dimash is meant to be Zeus encouraging the athletes but, like many great songs, it's written in such a way that it doubles as inspiration for the rest of us as well.

It was interesting to see the woman, and then the man, in the close-up of the audience. The woman was reacting like Jess was, and the man was reacting like Mike was. The juxtaposition of their faces with yours was perfection, even though you couldn't have possibly planned it that way. You two are very real, and it's wonderful to see.

For me it's a very gentle and at the same time powerful song that brings hope of true love. 🙈 Igor Krutoy composed this song for Russian singer, Alla Pugacheva, and Dimash made a cover, which I believe is better than the original song.

I agree completely what you said about Olympico. It is that type of song that reminds you what you want to do and how you want to be. It still brings tears to my eyes watching it with you. When I get sad or lose hope sometimes, this song by Dimash and Igor, really turns my head again in the right direction. It's extremely powerful. I absolutely love it.

Yes, this world definitely needs more songs with powerfully positive lyrics and messages! Dimash definitely does it with this song! Others out there today with positive musical messages (as well as being positive life role models like Dimash) are Angelina Jordan, Laura Bretan, Amira Willighagen, and Lucy Thomas. This rising generation of young artists gives hope of turning around a music industry and individual musical tastes which, in my opinion, have degraded exponentially over the last 25 or 30 years.

For your next Dimash reaction, I highly recommend "Daybreak" at Bastau. He originally performed it on "The Singer" competition in 2017, but was sick (lost voice) at the time, so the Bastau version is the BEST. Heads up though, the song is based on true events, and getting the backstory ahead of time is important. A Chinese songwriter Hang Hong wrote the song about a child that was orphaned from a tragic cable car accident in China that killed a lot people. The child was lifted to safety by his parents in just the nick of time, but unfortunately his parents perished in the wreckage. The author (Han Hong) was so moved by the tragedy, that she wrote the song and later went on to adopt the child. Dimash brings the song to life like no other could (other than the author). It is in Mandarin and his performance at Bastau is so unbelievably raw and powerful (my absolute favorite performance of his). Please remember to watch the Bastau version. I always like it when reactors do a double feature with BOTH versions! If you do the Singer version first, (it has the back story) you will be able to see from the Bastau version all that he actually had to tone down in the first version due to his voice troubles. (Remember, this is Dimash, and if you didn't know he was sick, you wouldn't necessarily notice!)
