@@RNTVHi, for Dimash's Singer performances I recommend you the videos on Dimash Fanclub Germany channel, they are full cut, and has English subs. And on Gloria Wu's channel there are a few performance with background story for the song. Not all her edits good only those which don't replace Dimash with other images, only add to the story - like Daididau, Late Autumn, Daybreak.. And for Screaming on Idol Hits also there are 2 good videos with backstage, preparation, short interview with Dimash. I think 1 or 2 is on Gloria Wu's channel, and another on Dimash Official Fanclub channel. ❤
That was Dimash’s 2nd time ever performing on what he calls “the adult stage”. It’s a cover by Vitas who won 114 awards in Russia. Unfortunately Vitas have I am a singer and Dimash a cease and desist letter so he can’t sing the song again. I enjoyed Dimash’s cover much much better than Vitas. Thanks for your reaction. Always watch Dimashs songs until the very end not to just to when he finishes singing. Sometimes you miss important or funny things that happen or that is said. 😊
He went up each time. Vitas only went up twice. Wish you watched the longer version he didn’t know his dad was there and after when he realized it was the most heartwarming moment his dad walked him back to the room and Dimash asked him twice if he sang alright lol. Can you imagine. But that’s the respect he has for his dad. He also said if he knew his dad was there he wouldn’t have been so cheeky with his performance. But us dears definitely loved seeing him that way.
Thank you. This one is soooo fun :) Dimash didn't know that his Dad came from Kazakhstan to surprise him. At the end he glances to the side and sees his Dad and he goes off stage and hugs him and he picks up his papa! Then they walk backstage and Dimash asks his Dad if he did good? and of course he says yes. Dimash said that if he did know that his Dad was there he might not have been so 'cheeky' with his performance. :D

funny backstory of this song is that Dimash was first time outside of his country and were feeling homesick alot. His father surprised him coming to him from kazakhstan but Dimash did not know about it while singing that song.
Dimash had been in many other countries before this. I don't know all of them but as we all know he had compited (and won) in Belarus. The same in Turkey, Croatia, Kyrgyzstan and Russia

Brilliant reaction as always❤🥰. Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas. The song is very famous and popular in China. The audience already knew what to expect, but were very surprised when Dimash raised the pitch three times. Vitas but only once. The man who raises his fist in the air at the end is Dimash’s father. He came from Kazakhstan to support his son. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional. BTW the audience is also the jury. During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰. I love this video because he still seemed so innocent. Just a boy and he didn't seem as serious as he sometimes is these days. He still looked carefree. Another very emotional song is Daybreak also from The Singer competition. I highly recommend you watching the version with the story behind on the Gloria Wu channel first and then the one from his Bastau concert. It was the 8th performance of this competition. I don’t think there are copyright issues, because the videos on this channel are already edited and there are English subtitles. I think you will appreciate the Bastau version even more if you’ve seen The Singer version before. This song tells a very sad but true story. You really have to watch this with subtitles. It’s really important to know what the song is about. So please react to The Singer version first🙏🙏🙏. In the Singer version he was so sick and had a severe sore throat and fever. He lost his voice the night before his performance of Daybreak. I heard him say in an interview that it was very painful throughout the song, that his throat feels like shredded glass but he didn’t want to disappoint the people who stand behind him and so he pulled himself together and went on stage. He got 5 injections from this doctor in the hospital. And the doctor told him not to sing high notes. You can see how concerned the other competitors were and they suffered with him. They knew he was not doing well and one of them even gave him a very expensive Chinese medicine from his own inventory. The problem was his busy schedule between the performances and he didn’t have enough time to recover. He made very good friends there and many friendships still exist today. After the performance he lost his voice again. It’s unbelievable how he always manages to convey emotions to such a degree. Though I think in this one particular version the emotions he shows are mostly concern about his voice keeping up with the song and the pain he must have been in doing it. The Bastau version (no sore throat) of Daybreak is phenomenal and mind-blowing. So emotional and heartbreaking. Maybe you can do both together. Many reactors do and so you can see the difference between this two performances. In both versions I always cry my eyes out. I don’t know why I have to cry more. Because of the story or the fact, that he was in such pain and performed anyway because he didn’t want to disappoint the audience. Both version were in the same year 2017. They might not have taken Dimash seriously at first, but that quickly changed after SOS. Through ist honest, cheerful and open nature, he found friends very quickly. Contacts that still exist today. Especially to Terry Lin. Just for fun, Terry adopted Dimash and Dimash named him Papa Lin. Do not be fooled. Terry is older than he looks. He was 50 years old then. not much to add ... those singers already were established and successfull singers ("the singer" was a competition for professional singers), sometimes already for many decades (westerners often misjudge ages, afaik the "young women" were 50+ and 60+ too), and had no need to behave like many other self-centered people in (american) "reality singing contests" who want to get their first contracts. they just were respectfull towards each other as it always should be, and would make our world much nicer (not only in such contests, but also in politics, etc). the jury was also not a producer who wanted to make good deals and get contracts for himself, but the entire audience, who mostly were connected to music or the music business too. and yes, for those two songs "daybreak" and "autumn strong" (chinese) = "ikanaide" (japanese), you need to see the backstories of these songs and of the performances. probably best to do one double reactions for each song even if that creates some longer reaction videos (or do two parts for each song, four total), always starting with the gloria wu videos for the backstories and the singer performances, and then another later version of the same song. btw: with Dimash, "same song" never means "same version/performance" and thus you can watch any of his songs multiple times without any repetitions.

You guys should really watch the version with English captions it shows in the end where dimash's Dad had flown in from Kazakhstan and he did not know it until the very end when he was speaking and he looked in the audience and saw his father. It shows dimash's humbleness and kindness and love towards his father. It is a must watch!

There is an Opera 1. It's a Vitas' song as well. You can react to Terry Lin's performance, if you like. Terry Lin is from Taiwan and he was Dimash's senior (51 years old back then) at The Singer show where he was called Dimash's papa (Papa Lin). Hello. This is a music by Vitas, a great musician from Russian. Dimash's was so good that Vitas made a law suit and prevent that Dimash was able to sing this music ever again. Was he better than the original? Of course he was!!!! Lionel Richie did the same with "Hello". I believe that htose singers were affraid of Dimash'a talent and I think that as established musicians they should support young sisgers, like Lara Fabien did with "Adagio" or Han Hong that sang "Daybreak" that phoned tio Dimash expressing happinesss from him to sing her song in "I am a Singer" 2017. I think this is the only time Dimash sang this song( there were some legal issues). Dimash's dad is in the audience, but he doesn't know. There is footage of Dimash in a show where the two compares have written new funny lyrics to this song and ask Dimash to sing it. He hadn’t seen the lyrics before and is laughing so much.
The lyrics aren’t really funny as it is about a man cowering in his house thinking of his troubles, with the wind circling the house but Dimash decided to make it more fun. Afterwards, he said he wouldn’t have been so cheeky with it if he knew his dad was there,

With Dimash u should see b4 and after he sings If you had watched The Singer competition all the way through you would get the backstory to some of his performances so u could understand better what they are about. The other competitors were not exagerating their expressions. They had never heard him before SOS , then this one, so his singing prowess was extreme to them. No one else sang as strongly or as high as he was doing. They were all amazed.
There are videos of Dimash's performances on Singer 2017 that have cc's with English subtitles. I will listen to Dimash with or without subtitles, but it is so fun to read the comments of his competitors. One said it was stressful to have to sing after him. Regardless, they showed nothing but love to Dimash during his time on the show. You stopped the video before you could see Dimash's face when he first saw his father. He did not know he was there, and he wanted to surprise Dimash. He asked his dad if he sang well. I hope you react to all of Dimash's performances on The Singer. It's interesting to see how he progressed. Remember, when he appeared on that show he was 22, only spoke Kazakh and Russian, and only had one week to learn each song. His first 4 songs were sung in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin. All were great performances. Thank you for this video.
Opera 2 is a cover of a song originally made famous by a Russian singer, Vitas. There was a little controversy after the performance began to go viral as the production team from Vitas made copyright claims, and some accused the singer himself of being "jealous" and wanting to squelch Dimash performing what was a signature song. Vitas' version has only one key change, and if you listen to both, Vitas, while impressive, doesn't have the resonance and voice quality that Dimash brings. It is in Russian. Dimash, as a Khazak, speaks fluent Russian. Dimash plays the controversy down, asserting that he and Vitas are friends and that it is the producers only and not the singer. I don't believe he sings the song anymore at his concerts, but others can correct me. Dimash goes from a high soprano C to an E at the end. In the second key change, the staccato notes or glottal attack does 2 things at least. It shows he is doing it live without a tape background, showing complete control and mastery. He's not struggling; if you know his other work, he can go higher with quality. He stays completely on the pitch, which is amazing. Many operatic sopranos would struggle to do this without screeching or losing pitch. For a male to do it is just incredible. Of course, the best singer in the world is an opinion, but there's no doubt that Dimash is a master technician in complete control of every element of his voice. I can't think of anyone better than him in this regard. He is a generational talent.

The song Opera 2 was done originally by an artist named vitas. When he saw the dimash did his song better than him he forbade dimash from ever singing his song again. That is why you will not see him singing this anywhere else other than this video. I love you guys so much because you love Dimash as much as we dears do and you are Dears yourselves! You guys did notice that he took the Opera part up a half step after the second time through the verse didn't you? That's what made his version so special that the original song writer actually took out a court injunction prohibiting Dimash from singing it in public ever again. Vitas only went up one half step in his performances. That is why all he people went, ""WHAT"?!!!! when he sang the last two choruses. The deal with his father. Dimash had no reason to expect his dad. Pops has a job doing something with music and the government. A minister of something. Anyway he was closing some big with Kazakh national TV or something that big. So he didn''t think he would be done in time to catch the last flight out of Nur Sultan (Astana). Even there things had fall just right. If he had been a half hour sooner he couldn't have taken off. If he had been a half hour later he wouldn't have beaten the storm. Then when he landed, you've heard the expression, 'he hit all the lights right'? Well from the airport to the studio where the show was, Dad came through the back door, after running the corridors, just as Dimash came through the curtains. WHEW!!!! Yes, this is from the 2017 I Am Singer contest in /China, when Dimash was only 22, and is the year Dimash became known to the world. Dimash didn't know his father was there until after the song. This song was made popular a few years previous by a singer named Vitas. However, The Dimash arrangement was so much better, and Dimash went two notes higher than the original, that the composer of the song sued Dimash so he could never sing it again.
After he sang this song in this competition. The original sing & writer of "Opera 2" issue a copyright infringement to Dimash. The writer wrote the song in 2004. There is video of Vitas singing this song in 2008 in China.

Great reaction, Jess and Mike! This is one of my favorite Dimash performances. The original was done by Vitas, a famous Russian singer. It is my understanding that after hearing Dimash's cover, he asked Dimash to never sing the song again. Dimash has honored that request. The original is on yt and yes it is very good but it is not equal to this cover.. in my opinion

Not every Opera 2 movie has an ending. There is a video with backgroundIt is a cut fragment from the original, full version of "Singer" with translated lyrics. However, even Singer also released the song itself without any background. That's why nothing happened, they just came across this version. If you want something specific, you have to provide links.

There is a version of this video with lyrics. The original artist, Vitas was so upset that Dimash performed this better and higher than him that he sued Dimash to not ever performed this piece again.
Opera 2, is by Vitas a Russian singer. But Dimash went higher 4-5 times and Vitas was very mad and like Lionel Ritchie did when Dimash covered "Hello", tried to sue him for it and even though they lost, were able to forbid him from ever doing their stuff again 🙄....Sad really!
