Bonjour Ligie, j’apprécie beaucoup ta réaction à l’écoute de l’extraordinaire voix de Dimash ainsi que ta réflexion à son sujet: oui, un talent unique sans frontières temporelles! On peut rêver, l’imaginant en processus de création avec ces génies musicaux du passé… J’ai entendu, lors de certains concerts antérieurs, quelques notes légèrement out of pitch, comme tout musicien humain, mais il faut réaliser qu’il chante plusieurs heures d’affilée, dans tous les styles et toutes les tessitures! Son intelligence artistique et son organe vocal sans comparaison lui permettent de rétablir immédiatement la situation et son immense présence émotionnelle ne laisse jamais un pouce de terrain de toute façon, lors de ces rares moments… Aujourd’hui, sa technique, et son savoir faire en général, sont de plus en plus impeccables: il continue d’évoluer musicalement de façon tout à fait incroyable, c’est comme s’il n’avait pas de limites! Il est souvent au-delà de la perfection, comme dans sa prestation live de « The Story of one Sky » à Almaty, entre tant d’autres… Je ne l’ai pas encore vu sur scène mais c’est une promesse que je me fais à moi-même, chaque jour qui passe.♥️

If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D#4 C#4 and B4 to G#4, G4, G4, D#5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

Dimash was a judge in 2018 in the Slavic Bazaar 3 years after he did win it in 2015. But he also did perform 3 songs. The legendary songwriter Igor Krutoy was so amazed that he came out of retirement to work with Dimash. But Dimash can also wright songs himself.

This is a dream come true for Dimash. He shared that, at the age of 5, he had a VHS of a concert by Maestro Domingo. He dreamed from then to now to meet and work with the Maestro. This was part of a program called Virtuosos, which supports young classical artists. Dimash was invited to be a judge on the program by Maestro Domingo. I know he appreciated the opportunity to support young artists. We are all do proud of him and hope all his dreams come true. Notice at the beginning when Dimash is getting ready to sing you hear the heartbeat slowing down before stopping then Dimash sings its like the passing of life to be greeted by the angels. To me this is the closest you will get to heaven without going there. Even though this isn't the Catholic Prayer version it still gets the message across beautifully

I saw him mis a note that didn't come out, he did a retake and he over achieved the second time hitting his famous D8 note this was in Unforgettable Day Gaku performance, he was quite young there, but that's really the only time I have seen him miss and his mistake turned out to be extraordinary and infamous 😂

With Dimash, there are no wrong notes, however he does some runaway vocalising in concerts, and in the Gakku version of Unforgettable Day, he missed a note a did a correction that will astound you. There are many fanvids and made up explorations of his high notes, long notes, young songs, growth in range and technique as he matured and learnt over His 25 years of training, by fans/Dears.
