Hello! I was at this concert in Almaty. And I'll tell you, it was crazy for 4 hours. And Dimash sounded exactly like that, only live and very emotionally. And he talked a lot with the dear ones. Dimash is an incredible singer and musician 🔥😍💖💖💖
Congratulations! You saw a special concert by a unique singer and an extraordinary person. As you are checking, even though people know him, it seems incredible that he sings like this live, but he does it and reaching perfection 👍
The entire concert was absolutely live, except for one song that had pre-recorded parts and you'll see why, Dimash always sings live, that's his forte and especially in his own concert!!😁😁🫶🫶❤️❤️
Yes, he did sing live, I would add that obviously this official concert version was edited afterwards, filtering out the background noises, -what we hear in the fancam recordings- Sometimes the sound is a little late, but barely noticeable,, what was striking is the instrumental part, when Dimash plays the instruments,, there it is disturbing to me that the music continues even when he is already going to the other instrument. The song you mean is El amor en ti where the holograms are
@@LKfan6110 when he's doing the instrumental part it's a special technique where it's recorded as he plays and then looped to carry on playing as he moves on to the next instrument. I've actually seen it done before on an episode of the voice. Unfortunately this was the one part of the concert that didn't go absolutely to plan, some parts must have failed to record as you can see Ilya Petrovski step in to continue playing an instrument that Dimash has put down.
@@debbiemorgan859 Wáoo thanks for the information, I didn't know this, Dimssh hasn't applied it either, but knowing him it's going to be fine the next one
@@LKfan6110 yes, it's the first time he's attempted it, normally we just see him playing the drums. But you end up with a layering of the music with each instrument being played separately and laid on top of each other until you hear all instruments together at the end. It's really awesome when it works properly but I assume they didnt quite get the first attempt right. To be honest there was so much innovative stuff going on that night, with the holograms and the new specialist soundboards and the huge screens that I'm surprised that was the only thing that went wrong. Compared to smaller concerts where Dimash's mics have failed or his ear monitors died this was a technological achievement of huge magnitude!
Not all the songs were live, Olimpico, Stranger, Ave Maria, Love and Tired Swans, The Story Of One Sky. Were all prerecorded vocals. Still his best concert (as always) nonetheless.
Dears from 68 countries all around the world come to Dimash concert. Nearly 35 000 Dears...imagine? Up to 200 specialists took part in the buildup to the concert as well as 400 volunteers. Song Give me your love was dedicated to MJ.
Thank you so much ! 😁👍👏🎶 Dimash`s concerts are 95% fully live, and some bits are performed to a track. He still sings, not just mimicking, but he relies on a track. And the reason, some say it`s to rest, but I`d say, based on what I know about him as an artist, the reason is that he wants that specific song to sound a particular way, the way it was imagined. He could pull it off even in concert, even tired, but there would be some variation, which he doesn`t want for some songs. He wants to give the audience the experience of that piece just as it was intended artistically. And other songs, he improvises and varies endlessly. He is not doing it to fool people that he is greater than he is, he is not keen to prove that he can do in concert what he can do in a shorter performance or in a studio, like a figure skater has to prove his worth by landing a quadruple-toe-loop in competition, not just in practice. Dimash could adjust the vocal technique, change key, turn to improvisation to get over being tired or vocal mishaps, but for some songs that have a 'trademark' sound, he doesn`t want the variation, and it`s an artistic choice. "Olimpico" was such a song until recently, song with very "trademark" sound, but in the concert in Almaty, he changed it for the first time in years :) And I was there to witness it :) And let me tell you, the differences were much more obvious being in the arena :) There were differences in the baritone part, and in the soprano part, changes in tempo, in pronunciation emphasis, in the attack on some phrases. And he hit lower in the baritone range. That was what drew my attention first, I was like whaaaa? "Ave Maria" is another super "trademark" sound, and he probably used a track. Who knows, in a couple of years we`ll hear the changed version of it too, like he did with 'Olimpico" :)) For "Give me your love" he used to do a full dance choreography, super cardio, and once he layered in a prerecorded bit in his own voice for the second chorus, the "give me your love" bit, to have more freedom to dance. In Almaty he didn`t, but he also didn`t go as heavy on the dancing as he did other times. "Stranger" is another 'trademark' one, and a couple of times before Almaty it sounded identical to the premiere, and he probably used a track. In Almaty, there were clear differences in the first half, more bite, cord closure and vibrato in the breathy beginning, less elongated breathiness, different length and sustain of words, and it was most probably (I`d say definitely) live (there`s a specific 'bite' to the sound), the vocalise was pretty identical to the premiere, possibly track, and the comeback in low was maybe track as well. The explosion at the end had some slight differences, (the bite of the sound came back as well), and it was very probably live. After the live performance of "Stranger" on Youku show, where his english slipped up a lot, and there was almost no 'staple' breathy singing in the beginning of the song (intentional artistic change, or vocal adjustment to rhinitis of which he was suffering then, we`ll never know), this new performance in Almaty brought it back close to it`s trademark sound, but with obvious live performance, more than half, which I think is a satisfactory win for his artistic intent for the piece, and for the endeavor to bring it to the stage live, at least in big part, which is more than another couple of times when, after the Youku show, he more likely relied on track. So, apparently, not much is set in stone with Dimash, and he can change things up and whip up a live performance even if he might have relied on track some other time. I mean, let`s face it, the man paints us 20 Mona Lisa`s, climbs 4 Everests, and solves 10 Rubik`s cubes with one hand in a concert, he can take any artistic-technical liberties he wants, my respect for him, and his choices, knows no bounds. "SOS" (always live in concert) with the ending in high note and descending run can be seen in the Kiev concert : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e8ijD9N5TMk.html - so worth watching, for the images that he chose to roll on the stage screens, and for the emotions of the audience :) The images show one of the dimensions of the tribute that he turned "SOS" into. And for the performance in the Moscow concert, the images are precious, showing the other dimension of the tribute : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yy-ru3fH-l4.html He hasn`t been integrating whistle notes in performances for a while now, he did so when he was younger and more cheeky, now he is going for harmonious sound :) Many commented that the whistle notes didn`t fit the rest of the song, and he himself stopped integrating them. One of the last times was in 2018, for a twist in the "Diva Dance". Anyway, what can I say, I would spend money again, over and over, just to hear him sing "Know (Vocalise)" and "Daididau" 💗🎶 Being in the superfan area, next to the stage, was one of the best experiences ever. Never felt better, more serene, at any other concert of any other artist, ever. And the best, warmest, friendliest crowd as well, kazakh and foreign. Everyone so normal. I even saw his dad when he came down among the fans before the concert, to give a short interview for tv, and also talked to people, who had surrounded him (respectfully :) ), and stayed to talk to them and take some pictures. Dimash, his family, the fans, everyone normal, warm, friendly, having fun in a normal way, just love, respect, and more love, all around. Thank you for the reaction to the concert, quite a task, as it`s a very long one ! 😄 Enjoy 👍
Thank you for this, I agree with every word you said. I've always felt that when he does this it's for the integrity of the song. He said a long time ago that his vocal range varies daily depending on various factors and if he's not well rested or has been traveling with no chance to practice as much as he needs or he's feeling under the weather. Rassul told us how much prep Dimash put in before the concert and we got to see that work in action. He was incredible in Almaty. I just felt sorry for him at the fan meeting, he looked so tired and then people in the audience asking him to sing when we Dears know he rests his voice after the concert.
No, he does it because otherwise he will ruin his voice. It's impossible to sing live for so long while changing from low to high and back in so many songs. Any true honest specialist will agree with that.
Dimash opened the concert dressed as the Golden Man. This is the conditional name of an archaeological find - the remains of a Saka warrior in full dress of the 6th-5th centuries BC. In total, five graves with the Golden Man were found in Kazakhstan as a result of archaeological excavations. Copies of the figure of the Saka warrior are installed in some cities of Kazakhstan, one of them crowns the Independence Monument on the main square of Almaty. The golden man on a winged leopard has become one of the national symbols of Kazakhstan. And for Dimash, the song "Golden" is a tribute to his fans. He proudly pronounces the words "We are golden" to his DEARS.
He was definitely not lip syncing Olympico. That was quite different from how he's ever sung it before both in the low and high ranged. I'm not one of those who screams that Dimash never lip syncs. Every Artist has to under certain conditions but someone has you convinced that Dimash lip syncs far more than he actually does. He ran daily for miles working on his endurance and fitness for this concert and it obviously paid off as those of us who listen to him regularly can pinpoint every difference and note change between performances and the only songs I can't find a difference in on this concert are Ave Maria and The Story of One Sky, now bearing in mind Ave Maria is completely note based then that shouldn't sound different anyway and as The Story of One Sky hadn't even been officially released then, there is no way he would have changed anything about it so it's possible that those were live too, I don't know and it doesn't really matter. What does matter is your obsession with his lip syncing, as you're not going to enjoy a single performance if that's all you focus on.
@@janetlawson4482 wasn't it beautiful? Even his higher range in Olimpico sounded richer and fuller. The maturity in his voice is showing but he's still losing absolutely none of that range.
@@tungavidya this is probably going to sound all wrong but I've always thought that for someone of Dimash's range and technical skills Ave Maria probably isn't that hard of a song to sing. The Messe De Voci at the end is probably the hardest part and we've seen video of him practicing that with his vocal coach and achieving it without any difficulty at all. The only time I can envisage him struggling with this song is if he's suffering from throat problems like he was in Dubai where we saw him coughing frequently even when he was out sightseeing.
@@debbiemorgan859 so incredible, I agree he’s definitely not losing anything in either direction, but the richness and maturity is so apparent. Of course I have watched the other concert version maybe only a few hundred times, but there are many differences ❤️
I'm sorry but if you're a Dear and you know Dimash, no same song sounds the same. I listened to all his songs a thousand times and they're all different. Thank you.

I don’t think we have to be silent about lipsyncing. It’s not a crime. I am tired of those comments of Dears telling people that he NEVER EVER does it bc that’s not true! If we would ask him, he would say that too :) Bc he’s smart and knows how to take care of his voice 🫶🏻
The way you say it here is like saying that he did it the whole time…. Like it is obvious that he does it. Olimpico definitely is not a taped one. People can have doubts sometimes, but not state without exactly knowing from him imo.
No, sorry but this is a myth that some Dears are spreading but it's wrong. Dimash does lip sync, even if 95% of his concerts are live.he is human, not some kind of robots.

I don’t know if they are really blind or if they think that it helps him but it’s the opposite. It only makes us look like a crazy sect. There is nothing wrong with lip syncing a few songs or parts of some song. This is a normal tool for every singer out there and nothing to be ashamed of. And knowing how difficult the song he sings are and how long his concerts are, it’s normal for him to use it a bit. It’s already incredible that he uses it so little. It doesn’t makes him less good. He is the best singer in the world and nobody else can do what he does but he is human. Of course he should think about long term and take care of his voice.

The funniest thing about all this issue with lip sync that people who claim that he did it actually name different songs) Some people say that he lip synced Olimpico and ave maria, but sang live stranger and the story of one sky and there are still differences exist with other versions of these songs, others say quite the opposite. And if you sum up all, it turns out that all the songs are slightly different))

#Olimpico definitely sounds different than any earlier version of this song. The difference is especially noticeable in the "female" part. About #AveMaria. There is a fancam filmed from afar, in which the sound of a drone taking off at the beginning of the song behind Dimash's back is heard. Then the drone starts moving towards the operator, but its volume does not increase, but decreases as it moves away from Dimash. Therefore, we heard it through Dimash's microphone, which was turned on during the performance of #AveMaria

IMO Olympico is definitely sung live - it’s different to the video on his YT channel. I don’t care if he lip syncs - when you put on a 3+ hour concert with the vocals he has and the effort he puts in you have to give some leeway. We all know he can sing his songs live. 🙏🏻🇦🇺
Of course Dimash lip sync, like anyone out there. When he is invited in TV shows also he usually lip sync 3 or 4 songs at his concerts. It's normal. He is human not some kind of robot.
@@mimasam5528 I agree with some Dears who said Ave Maria, The story of one sky, the rap part in Be with me, the mid vocalises and end note in Stranger, the end vocalise in Love of tired swans. Some think that Olimpico was a new prerecorded live version too but it’s not sure, I think it’s really live. This is really nothing when you know the length of the concert and the level of difficulty of his songs. He really keeps it to the minimum.
Funny how some people automatically assumed he lipsynched some songs. 🙄 First, they have no proof but still willing to just blatantly say shit. He can sound perfect cuz he's been trained all his life, and he has perfect pitch so he knows if he's off. I believe Dimash when he says he prefers to sing live and will always do so first. I can also hear the difference from Olimpico to Ave Maria. I know he can sing. It's just very annoying when people spread rumors just cuz they can. 😑
But just bc he says he prefers to sing live, which is clearly true, doesn’t mean he always does. You know that most people can’t even sing ONE of those 30 songs the way he does. So.. you probably notice it’s hard, it’s even hard for him! He needs vocal breaks in order to protect the voice, he wouldn’t be able to sing all those songs 100% live in a 3-4 hour concert with jumping and dancing on top of it. But as I said, most people aren’t capable of singing one single song the way he did it here, so hes still absolutely amazing and incredible and this concert was 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I was at this concert. I liked Ave Maria, but this song wasn"t my favorite before. This performance was amazing, out of time and space. It deviates from the previous one. This live performance is my favorite version right now.
Thank you for this reaction! I really appreciate the fact that you remember not only the songs, but also their name, which few reactors do😅. Lip sync is a very difficult topic in Deardom because there are many fans who do not accept the idea that Dimash, even if he is the next level, is still a human and sometimes needs a little help from technology. These fans are usually very aggressive and rude in their comments... I hope they won't be like that with you😀! My opinion after four years of being a hardcore dear and three concerts live: there are definitely moments - not many - that are not live. Sometimes it can be a whole song, sometimes just a part. But the experience is so amazing that you don't even realize when it's live and when it's not. At that moment it really doesn't matter.
He is actually very good at lip syncing. Most artists need to lip sync at some events, Dimash included, it's not always a choice. That DImash lip sync sometimes doesn't make him a less talented artist or means he is a scam. Do you think SOS at the EMI galla in Dubai was live or lip synced?
@@tuttasb I agree, especially with an event like the EMI Gala that was an award ceremony and a fashion event, there's no way they would have the necessary equipment or sound engineers to cope with Dimash's voice. I actually found it unusual that he sang live at the Ted Talks in Mumbai as I 100% expected him to do playback there but he didn't! I would estimate that at least 90% of the Almaty concert was live though judging by how many differences I could hear and he was even slightly off key at the start of one song. (Which I loved because it shows he's human like the rest of us).
Olimpico and Ave Maria are live . They are so different from the original . The colors of the timbre are different in so many parts of the songs . The timing of the belts is different . If you know the original songs without effort, you will find the difference . It was a pleasure to see the reaction of the concert . Thank you and love from Bulgaria ❤️❤️❤️
Yes! I listened to the concert again last night and you could hear the slight variations in Ave Maria. Initially I had thought he'd used a track for this but after someone pointed out differences on this thread I listened again more carefully and it's definitely different.
The flute called Sybyzgy - made of reeds or wood 50-70 cm with 3-5 holes, is particularly common in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The instrument was popular with shepherds, although difficult to play, and was also used by storytellers, in this case perfect for Dimash who is a master of storytelling …. ❤️🔝🎤🌹🌹👏👏👏👏👏
What a pity they told you that some of them weren't live, because you focused the reaction and this one isn't... and I think they're all live, what happens is that Dimash sometimes sounds better live than in the studio.. .
Hello..Ave Maria is absolutely 100% LIVE like also Olimpico..In this concert 29 songs on 31 are totally LIVE..For obvious and right reasons only the final part of The story of one sky and the 3 voices of the holograms of El amor en ti are not live
About as far as I know him, Dimash has at least two reasons to sing live.. It's concert in your native country and it's too(exaggerated) 😄😄😄) of professional to look for another way to work.. Bravo's!!! 💕👏👏👏
He usually lipsyncs Olympico but he sang it live this time. This sounds different and a bit muffled. Not sure if he couldnt hear himself or the mic quality was weird but it sounds like he has a tissue in his mouth lol. Almost definitely live though. For lipsynced songs, Ave Maria and Story of One Sky were fully lipped, and the hardest part of Stranger and the lower parts of be with me + rap were lipsynced. Love of tired swans was on the higher part I think.
I agree. I was wondering too why Olimpico sounded oddly muffled. It was weird. Definitely not the way it should sound. I assume he sang Olimpico live this time because the long TSOOS needed to be lip-synced. I am pretty sure he attempts to keep li-sync as limited as he can, just avoiding the hard songs and hard parts of songs so as not to kill his voice. Completely reasonable. I want to hear him sing for many years to come.
I heard all dimash songs a hundred times, I would say there is always unremarkable differences between his songs, it's impossible to be lip sync bro, if there is, there are not in this concert
Hey, instead of just enjoying an amazing concert, I see that there arе still hot debates about whether he sang live or not. Or about his pronunciation in other videos (associated with Spanish song and Spanish reactors). Is it really that important??? No doubt that he can sing each of his songs live. And even if he used some help of technique during this concert I really don't care. So, just drop these topics and just enjoy! The concert is breathtaking, the outfits are amazing, the dancers and music are wonderful, and Dimash and his singing are simply out of this world. ❤❤❤
14:17 I've listened to the old version of Olimpico many times already.. I can assure you this is a different version. Right of the bat can tell the difference.
As someone who knows every note and nuance from every performance of «Olimpico», an incredibly difficult song that Dimash has been known to lip sync in part or fully, I'd have to say that if, *IF* he was lip-syncing here, it must have been to a brand new recording - and there were even mistakes!! But it immediately became my favourite ever version - his lower register in particular, has gotten so much stronger these days... (and very sexy it is too!😘😘)
Please know that Lip synching is not something Dimash likes to resort to: some TV shows/venues call for it. Case in point: the fashion gala in Dubai where he indeed lip synched at this event, but to a live recording of his live Digital Show, not even to a studio version lol… Anyways, my point is that I’m not the naive fan who believes that he never lip synchs, hence my opening statement. That being said, in the Almaty concert, Dimash certainly sang about 95% live. Considering the 4 hour length concert, it’s really in and of itself incredible! What baffles me is that untrained, non professional ears, give their opinions based on their disbelief of an amazing performance, which influences other people’s judgments. If you’re really familiar with Olimpico for instance, you would notice the change in tone and color (I could spot the difference at the very beginning with the baritone part). Olimpico was 100% live and some people still thought it wasn’t the case, you included, which is disappointing since you’re a singer yourself. Again, you know the song, but you may not be that familiar with it. I listen to it on a regular basis, which may be why I could tell the difference more easily and readily. I would only ask you to merely listen to the Arnau version to this one back to back: I’m confident you will realize your mistake. Also, in his solo concerts, Dimash doesn’t lip sync an entire song. For instance, only the distorsion part (heavy metal like scream) is lip synched at the end of The Story of One Sky. Basically, like Celine Dion back in her hay days during her residency in Las Vegas, Dimash switched between live singing and lip syncing within a song during a specific performance, only when he had to hit a particularly high note. My point is that they don’t have recourse to it during an entire song, let alone an entire show! Thus, lip syncing one specific extreme belt, or notes, ensures that the performer will not strain their voice. Neither of them have anything to prove (we all know what their incredible vocal abilities are), nor do they want to cheat their audiences. What bothers me is that when people think that he’s lip synching an entire song during his solo concerts, which he doesn’t. Besides, singing more than 95% live during a 4 hour concert is really in and of itself incredible! As I said, he has nothing to prove. I mean, simply compare the live version of Olimpico in Almaty to the Arnau concert version, and you will spot right away the differences! Even without trained ears, one should indeed spot the change in tone and color (I could spot the difference at the very start with the baritone part). Olimpico was 100% live and some people still thought it wasn’t the case. They should merely listen to the two versions back to back: it will be even more obvious. Well, let’s remind those skeptics that Dimash has absolute pitch (a rare cognitive trait by the way) which was discovered when he was only 4 or 5 years old; not mentioning that his skills as a musician (and a multi-instrumentalist) does help with pitch accuracy. He doesn’t train 3 hours a day for nothing, neither does he exercise like an athlete before a concert for nothing. Again, as I mentioned at the very beginning, Dimash does lip sync at specific events or venues but it’s not something that he likes to resort to. You can easily find videos on RU-vid showing Dimash singing all the time, in between takes when shooting an MV, during photo shoots, at the airport, etc... No mic in sight, meaning no autotune whatsoever, just him singing a cappella! That’s when you realize that he has indeed absolute pitch. Last but not least, please check out the videos below which show how pitch perfect Dimash is. Enjoy! Vocal practice session: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RX_4TD5U5t8.html . Please check that video out and you’ll understand why he’s the king of vocal dynamics: his mastery of the crescendo and diminuendo is incredible, and he was only 22 in that video! I was impressed at his professionalism when dealing with technical difficulties: it didn’t deter him from putting on an amazing performance and his vocals are always on point, no matter what! Dimash is no doubt a musical prodigy, and an exceptional vocalist. Cheers from Texas!
If you think Dimash never lipsyncs you dont know how the music industry works in Russia. You can't sing live on TV there, at least for the kind of performances Dimash does. You also dont realise that as great as Dimash is, he needs breaks, so he does lipsync some harder songs. It does not change how good he is as a singer.
@@Ascension721 I agree 100%, saying that he does lipsyncs is NOT synonymous with being a hater, that thought is toxic, Dimash is an incredible singer, but he needs to rest from time to time, especially considering the songs he sings. The fact that he does or doesn't lip sync doesn't make him any more or less of a singer.
@@Ascension721 and also there are times when you can't take the risk of equipment failure like Olimpico at World Skills or the equipment set up is not suitable for vocal performance, especially when it comes to Dimash's voice, like the EMI Gala or Fashion Factor in Dubai. Even Erlan has said how complex it is to mix for Dimash, if you're just popping in to sing one song for a small event then it's not worth it to have to take a mass of equipment and a whole team.
Guys you all know that he can record new studio versions too? 😅 Saying a song HAS TO BE live bc it’s a different version, doesn’t make sense. DIMASH is amazing, studio or live ❤️
