First time Dimash sings in Japanese. The person who wrote the lyrics to this song said it was the most beautiful he had heard a foreigner sing in Japanese. Japanese reactors said it was perfect Japanese! The performance was live streamed to the Tokyo Jazz Festival.

This is the English translation for the Chinese lyrics of the song. This song in Japanese is the original version, it’s the same music as Autumn Strong but the lyrics are totally different in the Japanese song.

It was as good as a native speaker’s. It shows how much of a perfectionist Dimash is and how many hours he must have spent on his pronunciation and delivery. In addition, Goro Matsui, who wrote the lyrics to “Ikanaide” praised Dimash’s performance and said: “I’ve heard ‘Ikanaide’ sung by foreign singers in their native language many times, but this is the first time anyone has sung it so beautifully in Japanese. I happened to find Dimash singing “Ikanaide” by chance. The first thing that surprised me was his crystal clear tone and his expressiveness voice that conveys the lyrics of the song. I’ve heard other Asian singers sing “Ikanaide” in their native languages several times. However, even though they all sing great, none of them seemed to quite capture the sound/reverberation and meaning of the original lyrics/words, and perceive the emotions between the lines. In this song, the phrase ~ Ah, ikanaide~ is repeated several times in the chorus. Although they are the same exact words, each line has a different meaning. I feel that Dimash seems to know it.”

Interesting, someone else posted lyrics and they are not even close to the same, lol. This one actually makes more sense, but apparently it was used for a Japanese TV show? Maybe they changed the lyrics for the show...Curious!

@@TheSpeakEasyLounge There are at least 2 songs with the same title. Most likely the other person posted the lyrics to the other one by mistake. This song was used as the title song for a Chinese-Japanese TV series Farewell, Lixianglan, about a Japanese woman Yoshiko Yamaguchi (12 February 1920-7 September 2014) born in China and accused of being spy and put on trial but eventually was set free and went to Japan, living a long and peaceful life. In 1993, Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung adapted it into Mandarin with the meaning of the song different from that of the original. He called it Late Autumn / Autumn Strong. Dimash the Mandarin version (Autumn Strong) when he participated in the 2017 The Singer competition in China. He sang it in the Episode 4 of the competition and it was his first time singing Mandarin.

What an extraordinary performance! Again! Dimash has training in Music Theatre, but he also is such a natural actor, it all feels so genuine, he doesn't put on a show of emotion, he just allows his true feelings to show... There are some exquisite moments in this song that just break your heart.. Moments of actual crying! A moment when his eyes have tears in them, and you see the love shining through those tears. This is most definitely one of my favourites. I saw you clutch your heart near the end. Those last parts are heartstopping. When he stops the sung phase and it's like one's heart carries on over the cliff when he stops, and then that hum ... And again the last "missing note" replaced by hands in reverence... Like something so deep or poignant, it can't be said. The impact inside me was enormous. Truely amazing.

This is sung in Japanese. The first time we've heard him sing in this language, which makes it the 13th language we've heard him sing in, I believe. Japanese is the original language of this song by Koji Tamaki. You might remember his performance of Autumn Strong from the Singer 2017. Same song, except he sang that in Mandarin.

Hello, so long, I was waiting for your reaction, especially to this masterful performance by Dimash. Singing for the first time in Japanese. He is so emotional, and powerful at the same time, that voice is impressive. He would be a great, great James Bond of course. Dimash outdoes himself again.

Please react to dimash singing "autumn strong", the chinese version of this song, in Gloria wu's channel and it has got everythingin it, including the heart breaking story and backgroundof this song..and don't worry that you would be reacting to the same song because it certainly is a different experience...the lyrics is different in that and totally worth watching. Here he sings in Japanese. In general, the song is based on real events, where a man and a woman from different countries: from China and Japan, having fallen in love with each other very much, were forced to be separated forever due to political conflict events between these countries. The song conveys their suffering from forced separation from each other. Dimash performed this song in Chinese in 2017 at the contest "I am a singer".

HAHA- It's my husband's poster, You'd love him, such a happy person- great sense of self depricating humor and so smart! He plays many instruments (All in the background) although Bass and drums are his primary instruments of choice! I am the truly lucky one! Koji Tamaki's solo "Ikanaide" (Don't Leave Me Alone) single from November 1989. It was used as the theme song for the Fuji-TV 30th Anniversary commemorative drama "Sayonara, Ri Koran", a biography for the singer Yoshiko Yamaguchi who had gone by the name Li Hsiang-lan or the Japanese Ri Koran while living in the Republic of China around World War II. This particular song would probably be the quintessential Tamaki song showing off that remarkable high range. I completely agree that Dimash would be an excellent actor, but only if he wants to pursue that avenue. This was the first time Dimash sang in Japanese. He has done this song in Chinese before. It is also known as Autumn Strong (I believe) and reflects the story of a Japanese actress who had been born in China and gained popularity before being accused of spying for Japan and being deported from her “homeland”. It is a very poignant history and song. Dimash has been complimented for his pronunciation in Japanese based on this song.

What I think, is that he is like Clark Kent in regular life, nerdy, shy, introverted, but when you get him to a stage, he becomes this whole other person (SuperMan), Outgoing, in your face, athletic. I have found that I don't even look at subtitles anymore because it makes me concentrate on them rather than the music. I also like that he sings in several languages, but I fall in love with his songs as they are, but when he travels he tries to sing in their native language. DIMASHALI Recorded at The Crearive Center, a more intimate venuue on the state-of-the-art corporate campus of DIMASHALI (DQ), his production company. His newest were shot on the main stage of the largest studio and others are corporate offices. He finally got the "too expensive, I can't afford it" mic he's talked about for years !! He remains the creative force and sole head of the organization, his father, a successful businessman, runs daily operations

He's singing in Japanese. Your pronunciation is off but I think the misspelling may have contributed to that. It's "Ikanaide", to help with the pronunciation you can break it up into two words "Ikana-ide". You can hear Dimash pronounce it after the breathy "Ahhh" portion in the lyrics.

Честно говоря в его исполнении китайская версия мне нравится больше, хотя здесь она более мягкая и чувственная, в китайском - пронзительная и проникновенная.
