Dimash is also a MJ fan and this has a "Thriller" theme that he uses to master a new genre for him of rock/soul/blues/R&B that he hits out of the ball park! The symbology is something that keeps us imagining what the heck is going on and he gets us to jump at the end with his scary face! And wondering, was it all a dream/fantasy of the young journalist? I have seen Dimash in concert already 4 times, and again on 4 May in Budapest. The one in Almaty, Kazachstan in 2022 was the most sensational for me. 35.000 people in a stadium, I was queueing for 4 hours PLUS standing a few meters from the stage for another 4 hours concert! Yes, he always performs between 3 and 4 hours! A life-changing experience!!! Not only that I was half-dead standing 8 hours :)) it was all worth it. There's always a few people comparing Dimash to Michael Jackson. I have always considered him to be much closer to Prince than Michael. Dimash's creativity, stage presence and charisma echo Prince, who although lived in Michael's shadow a little, I always considered to be the greater of the two.

The first time I watched this MV I had an immediate reaction against it. I didn't think the video went with the song genre and I didn't like the subject matter. I loved the clean white/silver suit and the masculine performance Dimash did in the live version. I found that turning it into a vampire movie didn't do it for me. I sang in a 1990's band that did similar videos with that gothic vibe, and my ex partner (songwriter, producer, cellist) looked a little like Dimash in this video. I guess I just got triggered. I have watched it a couple more times in reactions, and I'm getting used to it now. I'm getting involved in the story and picking up things I didn't notice. I love your reactions too! You are so warm and giving and authentic. You are right, Dimash is a true creative. He needs to be able to express the dark side. After all, what is his song 'El Amor En Ti' all about if not being able to balance the dark and the light in ourselves? It's not all love and light. Do you know what I noticed most about the video? When Dimash/vampire was sat alone in that chair with his back to the door as she walks towards him. He looks so alone despite a house filled with others like him, weary of the world and despondent. I think that's why she walks towards him, because she's drawn to his need for love. You don't see a monster in that shot, just a lonely man, in need of comfort. How Dimash managed to portray such emotion with just a shot of his back still amazes me, he is such an incredible actor.
