Dimash is 23 and also he is very cute but he isn't gay :)))) at least I know he is notmal guy with traditional orientation. Dimash is very nice person, kind and modest. He was born in the family of musicants, both his parents are famous kazakh singers. So Dimash studied singing from 5 years old, took part in a lot of contests. And he talk in kazakh, russian, english and studing chinees language. Can play some instruments (I will not talk about what instruments he plays, you will see :)))) That's why now he is high professional singer with incredible total control to his voice, he has voice of 6 octaves. Dimash took part in chineese contest of professional singers "Singer 2017", the first round you watched today :) He sang "S.O.S" and made shock to everybody. Love you guys. Love you. Love you. Love you. Your reaction reminds me of my own when I first heard of him weeks ago. I'm gonna do you a favor. Here's his back story. Until this contest in China, he was famous only in his own country of Kazakhstan. He was recruited for the show in secret. 'The Singer', a much looked forward to competition in China that occurs only every two years, pits professional Chinese/Taiwanese/Hong Kong singers against each other, giving the audience a chance to vote for their favorite performance after each vote. Dimash sang this song as the first singer in this competition. You can seen at the beginning, his competition's gentle teasing over his accepting all the applause for the beginning of the show when almost no one had ever heard him sing. Then... he did that. He rocked the audience, rendered his competition speechless, and took a song that is considered to be the fifth most difficult song written in the French language and sang it more beautifully than I thought humanly possible. Until now, all my favorite singers have been female. Just a personal preference. Until I heard the voice of a god.
Just to let you guys know, there is such a thing as a MALE soprano, but Dimash is unique because he has a 6 octave range, which means he can sing low and extremely high notes.
This was actually the first performance for the China competition's new season of The Singer 2017 [which was why the crowd was excited for it to start at the beginning] -- but what is often overlooked is that he was pretty much a complete unknown to that audience [he's from Kazakhstan and doesn't speak any Chinese] , and least expected or anticipated to do much since he was pretty much unknown to the audience [which is why he was placed to go first -- the most anticipated singers were set to perform last on that episode]. This was the first time the China audience and other performers in the back room on the show heard him sing. Between his first performance ["S.O.S." in French] and his 2nd performance [Vita's "Opera 2" in Russian], he quickly won their hearts completely.
I love his natural chest voice a lot, his voice is so rich and yet, piercing. I guess you could consider him a countertenor or baritone. He seems comfortable singing with any part of his broad vocal range, and the transitions are amazing... flawless. Goosebumps for sure!
His mom is an opera/pop sing and his dad is a pop singer. That’s what he grew up with. He was given an amazing gift from god. He sing in 10 different languages and plays 7 different instruments. He’s spent his life perfecting his craft along with the obvious talent HE was born with.

His whistle register goes up to G#7 previously, but on the 16 Sep, he broke his personal highest note with a whistle register, D8 at Gakku Music Festival Almaty, Kazakhstan. Dimash is what is known as a countertenor or a contra tenor. These men sing with an amazing range from low notes to high notes. However he sings higher and lower than most other countertenor. He has worked hard his whole life (from 5 years old) to perfect his voice. He sings in 9 different languages and plays 7 different instruments very well. He is a genius! Of course he's a guy, and he's not gay or trans. Its range from note C2 to D8 is 6 octaves and one note. Therefore, he can sing bass-baritone-tenor-and soprano (sopranist). It's OK, he's a guy with a unique voice. You have not yet heard his whistle in other songs not in the this show "I am singer", he does not strain singing, these notes are not a problem for him. This is one of the five very difficult song in the world, but how he easy take a note, just amazing.
