It wasn't until Dimash got off stage, and went around the back hall corner (where the audience couldn't see him) that he let signs of agony show as he was clutching his throat. The song and the audience were too important for him to let down by not trying his best -- he doesn't do it for praise, he sincerely loves and appreciates being able to share his voice. He has also done outdoor concerts in absolute torrential downpours -- having the band play under shelter while he was drenched -- to the point where you could visibly see him pale and shivering... He still refused to cancel the performance because, as he said, fans had braved the weather all day waiting for him, and he would have felt ashamed if he had cancelled the performance... He genuinely appreciates all the love and respect from his fans, and never wants to let anybody down. Dimash is one of the most humble performers you could ever meet, and never takes his craft lightly... Even right before going on stage to sing Daybreak on The Singer, he still didn't have much talking voice... but once he hit the stage, he ignored the pain during the performance and let his throat muscle memory carry him through -- he still practices about 3 hours a day, which is why his vocals do use a lot of muscle memory which allows him to consistently hit all the notes so flawlessly. OKAY! I finally saw my second male reactor that cried. The woman & boy at the end was Han & the orphan she adopted. When the song was finished Dimash didn't show the audience but when he went backstage he was in severe pain. He still had some pain for the following week but he still did a GREAT job with it & by the week after that the pain was gone. Now that you know the words & the trouble he had PLEASE react to Daybreak from Bastau where he had no problem to see how good he can do it.

First time hearing it I had no idea about the backstory and couldn't understand a word - still I felt like crying. After seeing this and learn the background...no comment it gets me every time. Since then other songs proved the same for me. Even when you can't understand - Dimash is always able to project the feeling and finding out the lyrics is like a treasure hunt which makes the impact even stronger as he usually picks great songs with meaning.
