Dimash sang the anthem at Ak-Orda Palace in Astana. This is the official seat of the President of Kazakhstan. The national anthem was broadcast on television on New Year's Eve, immediately after the President of Kazakhstan's New Year's address. The anthem in its current form has been around since January 6, 2006. Formerly a state of the USSR for decades, Kazakhstan regained its independence in 1991 and is now the 9th largest country in the world. Kazakhstan is located in Central Asia and borders Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkemistan and the Caspian Sea😊. The first time he sang the anthem was before the boxing fight between Gennady Golovkin from Kazakhstan (Dimash's friend) and the Mexican Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas. He traveled to Las Vegas at the request of his friend Golovkin just a few days before his big concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan in September 2022. I woke up extra early to see Dimash sing it. In Germany the fight was I think at 3.30 or 4.00 am. It was worth it. I couldn't believe it when I heard his voice. I was so proud when he sang the anthem, even though it's not mine and I sang it the whole day. I couldn’t get it out of my mind. At this time things went crazy on Twitter after the fight.
