This song is from a 1970's rock opera called Starmania & nobody has ever sung it so well. Dimash is from Kazakhstan & is not a gay pop star. He is able to sing all genres of music with ease, sings in 14 languages, though does not speak all of them, is a multi-instrumentalist and a composer. He is also a wonderful, caring, humble man who has worked on his craft since aged 5 & still works with teachers, when he can, and does not take his talent or success for granted. Dimash is singing SOS by Luc Plamondons a Canadian lyricist which he wrote in collaboration with the French composer Michel Berger. The rock opera is called Starmania, and includes SOS about an “earthling" in distress. Regarding the wings reference: The national animal of Kazakhstan is the golden eagle . ..a symbol of independence, freedom and flight to the future. He often uses this motif.

Also try Sinful Passion (Greshnaya Strast) in 2018 at Sochi, Russia with the band that created the song. It's in Russian with good subtitles. And Love Is Like A Dream in 2019 at Moscow, Russia. Also in Russian with good subtitles. Both are romantic ballads. The first has a more jazz/pop feel and the second is more of a traditional Russian romantic/dramatic style.

Dimash is out of this world, blows my mind every time, I 'discovered' him in 2021 & feel very blessed & fortunate that he exists, really an angel from heaven !!🙏🙏

This tall, 6'3", handsome Kazak is also a model for high end items like clothing, jewelry, cars etc. Has his PhD in music and also a degree in film directing. He just wrapped up a huge concert in Hong Kong and is preparing for one in Budapest in May. He is a strong nationalist for his country, kind, giving, compassionate, and a man of very strong morals.

He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audience to be seen or heard. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favorite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺.
