Dimash wrote this song when he was 19 years old and the lyrics were written by Oral Baissengir, of course in Kazakh. This performance was in Kazakhstan (Gakku TV is a Kazakh television channel. I heard there were about 150,000 spectators and the city center had to be completely closed). There he hit his highest note so far, his famous D8. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. On 13 July 1985, there was a legendary televised concert called Live Aid featuring several bands, among them Queen. The actual performance was done on a stage at Wembley Stadium in London, England, in front of a crowd of 72,000 people. The pictures of the crowd there are insane. But here, Dimash was singing to a crowd more than twice that size - about 150,000 people. Live Aid was a much bigger deal, though, because it was televised around the world and was watched live by about 2 billion people in 150 countries - about 40% of the world's population at the time. It was also a fundraiser meant to bring immediate famine relief to several countries in Africa. I highly recommend you check it out sometime.
Of course the subtitles don't match up with his lip movement. Languages don't line up... ? The d8 wasn't planned, according to Dimash. He missed the note he was going for (when he waved the microphone), then he went for a higher note! He has never repeated this.

Unforgettable Day was composed by Dimash when he was 19. It's a love song of love at first sight. Sung beautifully in his native tongue. He improvises each time he sings it live. This famous video is when he belts out a note that goes beyond the highest key on a grand piano. There are a lot of gorgeous ballads and pop songs in Kazakh language in his repertoire. You should check them out.

Then i guess if nothing else it shows the affect of the song is consistent across the board? - I must say I can tell who seems inauthentic in their videos that I’ve watched of people reacting to some Australian artists or other singers I know well. What I find curious is when there is no way the person wouldn’t know a song, and they get super over surprised about it etc. in my first ever video I stated I do know a lot of music so I wasnt sure there would be much for me to react to - but that just opened up the world of it to me.
