So, last year Dimash lived in Los Angeles for a few months, met some talented people, and took a deep dive into the American art forms of rock, r &b, blues and gospel.....he composed this song and SMOKE there. He was invited to join an opera company while still a student, but he turned it down in favor of his dream of neo-classical, pop opera, crossover, all that sort of thing.He can sing in just about any genre and any song he chooses, so you can never put him in a box of expectations. Dimash is a genius! A great storyteller and paradigm breaker! Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality... Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is: A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures. Iskander Yerbolat's plot intrigues us to solve the mystery of the entire tale being a dream of a journalist who interviews “DQ”, or being a reality where the “vampire” did not bite his “prey” out of love! Intriguing... The video is a show in itself: Desaturated with vivid red details (umbrella, blood in the hands, blood in the pool, advertising sign, neon on the mirror...), a classic Rolls Royce, a gloomy and modern mansion and lots of details. As background music, he uses the work “Flower Duet” (Lakimé) by Léo Delibes. To create an old and suspenseful atmosphere, he does not use the 1968 edition and recording, by Joan Sutherland and Jane Berbié, but rather the original version from 1915, sung by Alexandrovna Mikhailova and Ivanovna Panina, recorded with a gramophone! The music video is a story that pays homage to several classic dramas involving supernatural creatures and passion! The impeccable editing with precise cuts that complete the script, simple and extremely efficient effects and masterful performances: Dimash (the seductive and tormented vampire, Polina Guzieva (the passionate journalist), Manuel de Jesús Sánchez Sotolongo (the sinister butler) and the harem of soulless vampires (Angelin Sapozhnikova, Valeriya Lyasheva, Andreana Tkachenko, Maria Aristatarkhova, Lilia Kiser and Klinnyushina Alina), superb! The music is a show in itself: a mix of Blue, Scat, Jazz, R&B, Rock... Captivating variations: a bridge to the chorus full of strength and seduction and a beautiful chorus inspired by classic rock and dexterity and Dimash's agility! In addition to the well-placed guitar solo performed by Abik Jeksen! The video captures and captivates from the beginning to the sign, which we let pass while still mesmerized by the “spell” of the vampire who can break the fourth wall! So prepare to be surprised again and again. I love both his high notes as well as his low notes. There are very few people that have as wide a range as he does. But none of them (as far as I have heard) sound as strong in every part of that range. And I‘m absolutely certain that he is the only one with that much control over so many singing techniques in that large a range! 🥰 Please react to Stranger, Smoke, Love is like a Dream, the Kazakh anthem, Au Fond Du Temple Saint, Be With Me (MV!), Ikanaide and Samaltau next. Dimash grew up! I think he trusts his own abilities now as a composer, and yes he is very curious about different kinds of sounds and different styles of music.

You know, the first song you heard of Dimash "opera 2" was in 2017 and he was 22 years old. Now his birthday is May 24 and he becomes 30. This video is resently new and his voice has changed for the better. He hadn't that deep voice 8 years ago. So it wouldn't be right to compare his voice to be the same when he was 22. He's been living in LA the last year and surtenly got some influence from the US when it comes to music. And his English is very much improved too. When he was 22 he didn't even know a single English word except from "thank you". He can sing in 16 languages after his last concert in Malaysia and he learns it phonecally. I will highly recommend Sinful passion next. He sings in Russian so make sure to put the lyrics on. Best regards from Norway 🇳🇴

Dimash sings lots of music. I feel sorry. People expect him to be one dimentional. He has studied music for his WHOLE LIFE. He has been immersed in music of all kinds. I love that he is versatile. He can sing for every mood and emotion.❤
Tool!? God help us. What an utter waste of enormous amounts of talent. If he EVER does anything like that I will not not not go forward with him. Only will I listen to his pristine, perfect, polished and excellent music and vocal virtuoso, top notch stage performances. He is here to elevate today's music scene not get down and dirty with it.
