My brief story 2003 - strange teenager dressed in black does homework listening to Death Cult Armageddon - with headphones to avoid disturbing his parents. 2022 - graduated scientist and proper family man dressed in dull everyday clothes does research while listening to Death Cult Armageddon - with headphones to avoid disturbing his children.

Nick Barker was their best drummer they ever had. This was the best line up.

Dimmu with Nick Barker, Mustis and ICS Vortex... I'm not mentioning the other 3, because the're still around. Simply the best lineup they ever had... The combination of Vortex's and Shagrath's voices and Mustis' keyboards made them unique and so so good. I miss those times and that sound... even though they're still good to this day.

This album never gets old, it's as good as the first time.

Nikolas breaking the barriers of superb technicality in black metal. Both Dimmu and Cradle had their best run when Mr. Barker was the drummer for both

Simply one of the best metal albums ever... melodic, brutal, symphonic, atmospheric and beautifully produced!

I met these guys after a show in Bergara, Spain, talked with them for a while, had pictures with them and have my cd signed...that was a good day.

I can imagine EVERY scene of "Progenies of the great Apocalypse" video when I am listening to that song. Still feels like the first time I heard it, 17 years ago.

Everything about this album remains relevant today as much as it was upon its release.

A great Norwegian metal symphonic band

When I was 16 back in 2006 I’d play this albums tracks for jokes cause I thought that it was funny how gloomy and serious the music and growling was. But I was also fascinated by the percussions and the melodies. Over time I fell in love with Vredesbyrd and started my metal journey from there.

Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse may be the greatest Black Metal song of all time.

Rarely a day goes by that I don't listen to something from this album. A masterpiece album that Dimmu could never replicate again. They began to fall off after this one released. Of that there is no doubt.

I bought this around January 2003. And procedeed to listen to it at least once a day for the remainder of that year. A HUGE album

Tbh this is my 1st real listen to this. This is very unique. I’ve been listening to death and black metal for a very long time. Unlike Cradle these guys stayed true with the Norwegian side of things. So so good.

My uncle introduced me to these guys and Behemoth when I was in 5th grade in about 2013 I think it was. It’s what got me into extreme metal. Now I’m 20 turning 21 and I still bump it to this day.

I could have actually died listening to this album. it was raining hardcore and I was wearing my leather vest with my hoodie and boots and I was walking on a muddy hill that was kinda near well... not really a freeway but it was a pretty large road and very wide and almost no space to walk on the side. the hill slowly began go down and I legit grabbed onto a leaf to save my ass from getting ran over. thankfully there was a pole ans I just Grabed on to it and I survived haha. very beautiful day too I was playing Soccer with some people in the rain wearing my battle jacket and it was overall a very cool nice rainy day but remember guys don't walk on muddy trails in the rain especially if they're near a fuckin wide ass road haha. I've been knowing this band ever since I was a little kid. now I'm in college in the medical field and it's very tiring. anyways cheers to know that the album is finally up but I've always been having the album for quite a while now. it's so damn great you can't resist such great music especially this fuckin beautiful classic. Satan bless this album seriously.

Great upload. I had to search for like 20 mintes to find one this high of a quality. Dimmu's own official version of this is 240p. I knew this album sounded better than what I was finding. Such an incredible album. Their best mix-wise.
