Just like the masses and new age people today is mostly latin Oh how things branch out over time. Yet many deny one another. Everyone needs to get together not make war. Know your tree of life. I can see that, but apparently that's not the case... actually according to Nick Barker, One of the reasons he was kicked from the band, was when shagrath had said, that the drums sound too much like Pantera in "Puritanical...". Personally I don't see the thing like that, but I guess Shagrath can have whatever opinnion he likes to...
@@teemujaakkola3157 shaggy is a pc of shit hes done nothing but ruin his own fkn band lmao they fired nick because he was too popular but enjoyed the success he brought forth I bet ,they used him straight up once they went up another notch In sales they didn't need him anymore 3 non core members put them on the map....once that was established....see ya boys....next!!!!
here is the thing.....so shagrath can sing....cleary...he can play drums..aka for all tid....he can play guitars, stormblast, enthroned darknes triumphant...bass stormblast 05, keyboards...abrahadabra Where is his solo album...all instruments and music by shagrath?
Been following DB since the beginning, and this is their absolute worst imho. All of the atmosphere from the original Stormblast is gone. Overproduced, overdone crap in my opinion. Cutting the intro from Alt Lys Er Svunnet Hen, really?! My advice, go get the original, listen to it, fall in love with it and reduce the 2005 version to walldecoration. Once the penny drops with the original you'll never listen to it again :)
@@CaptainAlbatross Over produced? It sounds amazing compared to the old muddy sound from the early days. I know the early albums are gems I get that that's where it all started and part of that is what makes them such great albums. But seriously the later albums are incredible except for Abrahadabra and Eonin, the band just fell off a cliff after Mustis and Vortex left.
@@evang94 I listened to all of them, even have some in my collection. Hell, i even have Stormblast MMV on CD. But to me it just blows. The original might not have the best recording or best playing, but it has one thing that the 2005 version completely lacks: atmosphere and awesome songwriting. And that's what bands like DB are all about in my opinion.
This is an excellent cover of the original Stormblast, with new stuff thrown in and great drumming from HH of course. But yeah the original had a better atmosphere, outside of the awful production and sound. Anyway, i think Dimmu's best is still Enthrone Darkness Triumphant overall. Stormblast, Spiritual Black Dimension and Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia are up there. After In Sorte Diaboli i barely listened to their stuff, the magic of the 90s and early 2000s is gone in my opinion, they had their peak back then.
Stormblast original actually is not so original, it is full of ripoffs included the intro from the song Alt Lys... Stian fucked up that record and almost got the band into trouble with justice regarding copyright issues. Stormblast MMV was recorded just because of that.
Doubt they even know what it is. It just gets sold as 'rebel flag' around the world. It's thought of as a 'biker's flag.' Treasonous, loser rag to wipe my ass with.
In a way, Stormblast 2005 is a butchering of the original because they managed to make every single fucking song on the album sound the same. However the original stormblast had some of the shittiest, stolen and cornyest keyboard work I could do without. Yet Stormblast 2005 is the best and most straight forward album out of modern era Dimmu. So this is an album I kinda like but in ways wish they would have changed a couple of things.
Well i love both, don't really see what the problem is with remaking it, apparently they were never really happy about the result with the first one due to deadline pressure. If they felt like it was time to make it more like what they had envisioned in the first place, that's their business. Whether they nailed the sound or not is completely relative.
He uses Moeller technigue and French grip etc. It depends.. Not so much fingers in this clip that you can see, but he uses them a lot... But a lot of wristing is going on here for sure ;D The uniquest / best extreme metal drummers of all time. The beast.
Why the fuck are Silenoz playing the fucking second guitar? Shagrath should to sing and plays the second guitar, and Silenoz should to play the leader guitar '-'
+Galgamach George Kollias has a more powerful hit/technique and a perfect drum sound in any circumstances while Hellhammer is more creative, specially with his cymbals and fills, both are genius.
ffp08 Nicholas is best drummer for Dimmu, but he can not do this like Hellhammer, Hellhammer is much more creative then Nicholas. Stormblast re-recorded can not touch anything from original Stormblast record. No atmosphere at all.
I agree! anyone can associated with any ideals they choose. I'm just criticizing those ideals, and calling people ignorant, for hold tightly such ideals. These ideals are of the right to own a slave and recognize that this new station in life (slavery) is beneficial to the negro. That is supportive of tyranny, removing the autonomous of certain classes. And what would you do if you were indeed one of those classes (slaves) that would have to subjugate himself in front of his master. What if you had to feel the chains of oppression simply because some riled up people felt that the oppressed have no rights, and thus grants the oppressors status. Being born is like winning a lottery ticket... You don't choose your race or creed, so why should this determine your possibilities of life?
Dime bag might even gave it to them. Either way the flag I metal is a sign of rebellion. I'm not sure why the world doesn't get all over the English from the 13 colonies and Africa they're the ones started the racism thing if that's the problem.
@@dittaturademocratica777 no, iron cross is a more generic symbol then the rebel flag. It has been given as a medal by different countries for different meanings
