@@yerr234 Honourable Discharge isn't terrible in many situations.

You're a bit wrong, allies' weakness is their build time, mastering it would be much difficult and its much balance considering the Allies' manpower is advanced but limited. Furthermore, the Soviets' Air and Land troops is good and easy to master, if Lictor have those multigun turret spread around and make that a cyrogenic turret, probably Dimon will have to move to the next strategy he has , plus Lictor probably can't spread his territory too much because of the time he has

37:10 This is the moment I knew I couldn't root for Allies this match. Jesus jumping Christ, Lictor didn't even finish off those hammer tanks and was caught SLEEPING on the wheel with those peacekeepers, arguably the only thing that stood between him and a decisive victory after half a damn hour of intense back and forth. 37:40 AND THIS IS THE MOMENT I REALIZED I HAD TO ROOT FOR DIMON, How can a man even play this game when he has such a MASSIVE pair of BALLS sitting between him and his computer?! 1: Dimon finds that his hammers have been squeezed into that annoying BUT HIGHLY MANUVERABLE shrink sizes. 2: Dimon one-clicks the magnetic charge right below the infantry to draw them north, away from the hammer tanks WHICH ARE NOW RUSHING FORWARD FULL SPEED, fully aware that they could have died in that storm! 3: The hammer tanks squeeze past the storm and away from the infantry and copters to cut off the Athenas from retreat. 4:He rushes the frog bros IN BETWEEN the Anti armor and the Athenas to: 4A: Draw fire from Infantry away from the Hammers 4B: Stop those damn cryocopters from intercepting the hammers. 4C: Catch the Athenas in one of the cleanest pincers I've ever seen. 5: Dimon pulls the frogs down and while they're STILL focused on the frogs, the hammers resize at the exact time Dimon predicts to crush ALL OF THE INFANTRY. The Infantry is gone, the cryocopters are finally dead, and the Athenas are wipe out! And in such a dire situation, my dude Dimon pulls some of the most anime ass-pulls I've ever seen from such intense pressure with nothing but frogs, hammers, and *shockingly* good maneuvers in less than a goddamn MINUTE.

The Allies might be broken, but you can't say Lictor isn't skilled. He's obviously extremely good at the game.

@@MsFlyingCake Allies are OP with that cyro and chrono tech. Only mistake Dimon made probably wasting V4's and a MCV in some cases and does not invest in one Dreadnought (2000) with two bullfrogs that could harrass enemy north refinery in mid game. Natasha (2000) was very unnecessary.

@@MsFlyingCake Lictor was not expanded to sea. Lictor did not have port and sea refineries while Dimon had. Dimon had the naval infrastructure while Lictor had to hold him on ground, not invested in sea.

i wouldn't say 2x the economy. one extra refinery is an advantage, but not an automatic game winning advantage on its own. don't forget, soviets have units that we didn't even see in this game, such as the apocalypse tanks, kirovs and dreadnoughts.

@@Charlieh1989 the reason you don't see much apoc tanks vs Allied is simply because they are butters to be cut in front of cryocopters and Athena cannon, and their slow speed makes sure they cannot escape cyrogedon, they could be powerful against empire, but very ineffective against Allied

@@deakblack so there you have inadvertently explained the issue of balancing. they may well be ineffective vs allies, but their higher cost and longer build time means they are not an automatic win against empire teams either. don't forget also that apoc tanks pretty much crush all other units (except MCV's). it is such a delicate balancing act.

Soviets need extra refineries to be able to fight against tier-three Allies because most of the Soviet units are quite inefficient by that time.

@@Insomnia1234o00o which is in turn countered by the ability to build crusher crane(s) in strategic positions. not only can you rebuild faster after suffering losses of your buildings, you can also repair the "inefficient" units over time. (yes i know the allies can heal infantry with a med tent).

This vid tells it all , Dimon has better map pressure , better economy, and better micro ,about twice Licktor's apm but look at what he had to go through . As a guy who've played a lot of RTS games, i think this game has a HUGE problem in balance.

When I say better, I mean RA3 is heavy on micro, and doing a lot with little. RA2 is all about unit spam. Rhinos and dogs and AA vs Grizzly, dogs and rocketeers. It's always the same.

While I do agree with you that allies typically tip the scales when it comes to win rates.....But if you are honestly saying that it becomes an allies vs allies that occur in most occasions and that allies just steam roll and win every tournament on sight... then perhaps you don't watch a lot of competetive tournaments to begin with. Just look at the latest FTW tournament. FTW #71, Dimon won as Soviets and he was fighting against empire (his ooponent was ddf). Not just that...watch previous FTW tournaments as well. As far as I can tell, these are the most competetive tournaments when it comes to high level ra3 gameplay with the highest profile names in the competetive ra3 scene and that the results of those tournaments aren't as lopsided to allies as you would think. There are actually a number of Soviets and empire players takes some wins over the course of multiple tournaments that are being held. Heck, they are still running tournaments even until today.

@@santaclausewitz1891 That is a given that a better player would always win but's that not the discussion you started with.....according to you and what you're implying, you believe that it is nigh impossible for this game at the highest competetive level to have anything but allied vs allied given how op allied is. And I've stated that you are wrong as per actual tournament results. Sure the overall win rate skew towards the allies favor but to imply that soviets and empire has no place in competetive ra3 is completely wrong. Soviet and empires have their place and playstyle in competetive ra3. Empires rely on heavy econ harrasment and if left unchecked they can snowball their forces while leaving you in low econ. Soviets have a timing window where they are stronger than allies prior to tier 3 units and artillery. They also have the respectable capability in harassing the econ as well. If cryocopters are unable to properly support grouns units the soviets can brute force it's way for a win. And for allied, if left uncheck without any econ harassment (while at the same time they have a great way to harrass economy) and allowed to get higher tiered units with completed secret protocols they are pretty much unstoppable in the late game and their units have some of the best utilities in the game as well. It's all a balance of recognizing the strong points and weak points of each respective faction and the pros knows this as well. Heck, if what you say is true and allied is the only faction to consider...then these pros who are not only playing for fun and bragging right are also playing for money woild pick allies all the time and not even consider picking other factions. These tournaments do have cash incentives in them. And knowing competetive esports, pros have a tendency to pick the shortest route possible to get a win. That's just what happens in high level competetions in esports....yet time and time again I would see soviet player and empire players win tournaments. You already contradicted yourself when you mentioned that on the hight competetive level it all boils down to an allied vs allied match up, while at the same time you mentioned that the better player will always win regardless of inferior the faction is. Hello? This is competwtive ra3 we're talking about, pros will pick factions that get them wins. Period. And it's not like the balance of the game os left uncheck. There are community patches that address the more sever balance issues of the game.

That's the plan. Remastered will be the most modern and functional version of C&C and if there are good games I'd love to cast them.

Mine look like this, at max settings. I think his computer is just good enough to handle it. The graphics have stayed surprisingly relevant over the years.

Warning indicator is it`s cast time which takes 2-3 seconds to do.

@@Ace_Qnemes I meant comparable to other support powers. How long does it take for max levelorbital drop to come down?? The amount of crowd control the click of 1 button provides in an active fight is horribly overtuned.

Considering how tooth-and-nail they fought, I guess that makes sense then. Every unit on both sides felt important in this match, and it was down to the wire. So the fact that the economy and kda ratios are inversed is a good thing, IMO.
