11 Krag rifles from Norway. 1 Swedish Mauser M96, and 1 German Mauser M98. All in calibre 6.5x55. Most of the Krag rifles are Konsberg, but some are Steyr. Most of the Krag rifles have the M94 receiver, but some have the improved and strenghtened M1912 receiver. One original M94 infantry Krag. Two customized hunting Krag. Three retro sniper Krag. Four modern sniper Krag. Both the Mausers have also been customized into modern sniper rifles. No national treassures were ruined building these rifles!

Happy New Year John! You're a proper gunmaker. Much respect for your scope base manufacturing prowess, and stock fitting prowess.

Very much enjoyed the Krags, and some of the vintage scopes. The 4X Weaver on the sixth rifle is late 40s vintage. I could use a sporter stock for a 1916 action with .243 Win barrel that I have. I found the .243 barrel on ebay, it was an old Austrian made barrel that one US importer in the 1950s purchased to convert the rifles. They did .308 Win also.

Thankyou, glad you enjoyed it. The scope you are refering to, is a Weaver K6. So it is 6X. If I remember correctly, the K4 came out in 1947, and the K6 in 1948. Changes were made, so this is defenitely an early one. Don't see the ones with finger turrets often. I have a collection of old Weaver scopes, a couple of books on the subject, and lots of ads and brochures. I'll have to make a "Vintage Weaver" video sometime. Your Krag sounds interesting. Better handload for those calibers, to keep preassure within specs? Krag sporter stocks are few and far between in Norway. Usually they are just modified original stocks, or modifed competition stocks.

@@Dimwit_the_last_mountainman A K6 that length would be a second model. The first had smaller lens and was longer, I believe. I'll look some more.

Hi, Doc! Glad you enjoyed it. Is your 22 a Krag? They got these clever barrels, with offset chamber. That's what I used, as soon as I was big enough to hold it properly. Started out with a smaller russian 22 on a sandbag rest. We shot inside at 25 meters during the winter. Outside at 100 meters during the summer. Think I was 8 years old when I joined the local shooting club. I'd love to see your trainer. Must be pretty rare stateside?

@@Dimwit_the_last_mountainman Hi John, What gives it away immediately as not being a US model is the pistol grip stock. It does have the offset bore as you describe. A single shot, don't know if any were configured to be repeaters. It is stamped 1915 on the top of the receiver......Doc

Sounds norwegian. It should have the groove on the top left side of the receiver. They were all single shots.@@dr.durellshepard398

Awesome Krag rifles! I will be interested in video's on each of them and curious to see what caliber each one is. Would you happen to have any information on the 8x58R Danish Krag? I bought one a few years ago but found very little information on it. I had to reform 45-70 brass for it because because ammo is obsolete. It was time consuming because I also had to turn down the rim diameter as well as the rim thickness but I enjoyed the challenge.

Thankyou Gene! I have been busy making videos on each one of them. I'll make the last one today. They are all 6.5x55. I have no experience with the 8x58R Danish Krag. Good job on reforming the 45-70 brass!
