Late response, sorry (I should check this channel more often..)! It took me around six months to do the build, with a bit of additional time to sort out some details, such as making a plastic cover for the cartridge slot which I left unpopulated, and other small tweaks. I struggle to estimate the hours it took me (likely 100+), but I wasn't rushing and probably only spent a handful of hours on average per week, with some more intense weeks and others where I did very little. I would honestly not recommend it as a first DIY build, but I did actually do just that myself. This was my 2nd build of the RE-909. :) My own first unit that I'm keeping has had a few small issues pop up, but this one has worked flawlessly. It is quite a massive undertaking, but I know from building a third unit after this one, which took me about three months, that it can be done a lot faster than I did this one in the video. I think you can do it in a few weeks if you really dedicate a lot of time to it and work efficiently, but if you're not super experienced I'd instead say take your time.
