Also, people will be much less likely to tip after they have already paid for their food before they even got it, meaning less waiters, or higher wages for waiters…

I had a table try this in my server days. They complained from entry to seating. My mgr and team already knew I gave good service...they kept trying to send everything back just to get their meals comp'd...two young women w/their toddlers.. loudly cursing. Left "haha" on the receipt.They were horrible and I hope they got theirs 🖕🏾
