Ding Xia (Chinese: 丁霞; pinyin: Dīng Xiá, born 13 January 1990) is a Chinese volleyball player. She is the setter of the China women's national volleyball team and plays for Liaoning.
Height 1.80 m (5 ft 11 in)
Weight 67 kg (148 lb)
Spike 305 cm (120 in)
Block 300 cm (120 in)
Ding won the gold medal in the 2015 World Cup, 2016 Summer Olympics, and 2019 World Cup with China women's national volleyball team.
Ding was awarded the Best Setter at 2018 FIVB World Championship and 2019 World Cup.

I just watch China volley ball matches just because of one reason, no other than Ding Xia, the way she performs, it’s stunning and astonishing to watch, such a versatile player she is, lots of love to Ding Xia

She’s the best out of all active setters right now - strong left handed serves, aggressive at the net with second ball attacks, stable digging and great ball distribution in her sets. I feel like Ognjenovic from Serbia (who I believe is next to her in terms of skills) is just better than Ding in terms of blocking, but for the rest of the skills I feel like Ding takes the cake.

yes! ding is often overlooked and unappreciated (only Chinese women's volleyball fans do realize her skill), but volleyball fans in general often forget her as one of the best setters rn.

@@deebs923 Have you ever watched team China’s play in Olympics, world champion, World Cup, and VNL? If you only watched CEV, NORCECA, and CSV, then Ding Xia is invisible to you.

2024, China just lost in Olympic quarter final yesterday. Watch these games of the mighty China team bring tears to my eye. It’s amazing to see ding xia’s best setting skills, Such a versatile player she is, The more intense the match is, she performance also gets intense. But she is not getting the recognition for her skills.
