In my opinion, and this is just my taste, I think your dining room chairs do not match style wise with your table, I love your table, but you need to get chairs that are the wood and style as your table, the ones you have are stark and don’t look honey!

Love the molding it really elevates your dining room! The new rug looks so pretty too! Bamboo blinds would look nice with the rug! You can try it and can always return them if you decide you don’t like them! I love decorating too especially seasonally ! You always do such a great job at bringing together your vision!

🍝The trim is stunning!! Exactly what that room needed! And it’s becoming more common to change up your house more because of all the ideas we have access to on social media. The trim looks beautiful - reminds me of an elegant older southern home. I would like to be able to put a round table in my dining room. I think they are so cozy and nice to be able to see everyone. I like the idea of the bamboo blinds.

the trim makes your dining room look so much bigger...so beautiful! i totally think a wood tone arched cabinet would be so pretty🥰 Not to tell you how to decorate your house (LOL) but i think the black one would look great in your media room upstairs if you ever move it. i feel like it fits the "vibes" in that room if that makes sense haha! the rug is soooo cute!! YES to bamboo blinds especially since your curtains are white. it will add some interest and texture to your windows😊

In the dining room I would do something more like zebra blinds. It's much more of an elegant look than bamboo. The rug almost looks like it could be used outdoors. I always tell everyone this is the normal process in a brand new house it takes three to five years to get your style down. Then before you know it you'll be making changes again😊

Your hair and outfit looks great! I think the black is beautiful in the dining room. However, no matter what color you change the hutch to, it still doesn’t really have a place to go in that dining room. Especially with the current furniture placement. It looks totally out of place where it’s at.🫣

Holly, I must agree with another comment in that you really need a round table in the dining room. The large black cabinet looks very out of place where it is. Please don’t take it the wrong way but just giving you other options.

Holly, first.. Casen with his sweet lil smile when you mentioned him and he swung his head around to smile at us.. so sweet! .. I like to hear his chatter.. He has a lot to say, so he needs to say it! 🙏🏻 . I’m a furniture mover.. I move and change a room up and this is how I always find new ways that I love. Now it may not always be for everyone, but I know my furniture will not stay any particular way for a long time. I like to be different, I like little special pockets in a room. . I watched this artist on RU-vid give a tour of her home by Home Worthy?? Oh if that’s wrong I’ll come back and correct it. ANYWAYS, her home was so fun and she explained why she places things how she does and it made so much sense. She loves books (she was elderly) she has these round tables sitting around in her room and these beautiful chairs adjacent to each of them. She said I display things I love and use, I’m not storing these things away to have to go get them .. She explained when you love something, and it’s YOU, then display it, use it, see it, it tells a story.. I can’t remember all the things she had around but it was unique and tidy and I loved the whole house.. so I started doing that and I am having so much fun. SO LONG STORY SHORT LOL.. I like the oval hutch in that space, it’s unique and it catches the eye, and I love the buffet table in front of the window.. it’s all good all good.. having fun and enjoying our home is what makes each one of our homes a special place. 💚 # keepmovingfurniture it rejuvenates one creativity! 😊

Holly, I think your room looks disjointed. Plates stacked 3 on each side of window. Need an oval table and a oriental type of rug much larger than the one used in video. Hutch not a fan like the one you popped in. Bar cart at an angle. Trim work looks great.

Absolutely love the trim work. The rug is beautiful but, seems too casual for your formal dining space. I would use it in another room/ patio. I would get a more formal looking rug. I think the hutch is too modern looking for your look now with the formal trim. I would choose a more chunky vintage hutch with traditional southern style. Just not sure 3 colors black, wood, & light wash table ( since you mentioned wood tone)of furniture & 2 styles of chairs ( your rattan chairs don’t say formal to me. They say Boho ) in same room is cohesive, to me anyway. But remember, this is your home. Do what you love. You have great style & class on decor. Just giving my two cents worth. I still love watching your channel. Casen is adorable & has a cute personality.

Beautiful space. maybe consider: put sconces on each side of window , eliminate buffet since you already have black cabinet, since you already have small mirror no need for another one on bigger wall. Maybe try bar cart between windows and change out black dining chairs to something else. I'm sure whatever you decide will be beautiful. It is your space so enjoy having fun with it:)

The trim work is stunning!❤i was thinking maybe sand down only the top of buffet to natural wood. Then it would be a beautiful two tone & not all black. I love the added trim in the dining room. I liked the table turned the other way with the hutch and buffet on opposite walls and the bar cart where the cabinet is. However,it’s your home and should be as you enjoy it, not as the viewers want it. I love that you change things around, I do the same in my home. Love the trim. Since the plates are so small they might look good on each side of the window. I still think a nice big round or oval wood table with 6-8 chairs is what will fill out this room best. Then you’ll have more space to move the credenza back on the wall and out from blocking the window.

The trim looks great Hollie. There’s always that one room in a new build that is a struggle. For me it was going from a separated living room to a great room, open to the kitchen. The living room furniture has been a struggle but eventually you get it to where you like it. 😊 I personally loved the bar cart on that wall by the brick but it’s your space, you’ll get it to where you like it eventually.

Love the new trim. I don’t think the table looks as good this direction. Makes the room look more cramped and the other pieces don’t feel balanced. It just doesn’t flow as well as it did before. The rug is cute, very casual and summery. Bamboo blinds are very casual too. You’ve gone with a very Traditional, classy trim as well as your chandelier. I think white plantation shutters would be prettier.

The trim work is beautiful! This is just my opinion but obviously it doesn’t matter what I think about your home! I think I would switch the chairs out. Maybe chairs with no black and something with more of a curve to them to add something that isn’t a straight line since you have so many straight lines/angles now with the table, buffet and all the trim work. Also, I don’t necessarily think you need the hutch now with the trim work but of course you would lose some storage.

When entertaining and people are seated at the head of the table, you've blocked the people on the far side of table from passing thru! I agree your hutch placement looks totally out of place! That's why when I get a room where it is comfortable for all and pleasing to the eye I leave it alone, changing out accessories only! 😢

I deleted your last comment bc you said I did too much talking and was kind of rude but then I saw this question from you right after haha 😂 if you listened to the talking you would know I just turned the table this way a few weeks ago it was the other way…and we haven’t painted the trim yet. That update is coming Sunday in our summer home tour! Haha this is why I have to do so much talking to make sure and answer all the questions I know I’m going to get 😆😆😆😆

Hollie have you thought of a round table? I think it would fit better for your space. Might solve your problems..our friends have a large one that sits 8..got it in Opelika..it's beautiful..love the walls!!.

The trim is beautiful! Wooden plate rails/ shelves might be fun for your seasonal collection of plates. That shot of Casen turning around was precious perfection!!! 🍽 🍵🍷

LOVE the mouldings, Hollie!! The dining room is beautiful! I love to change up my home as well. I think most people do, if they are creative. Love your channel, and that baby is over-the-moon adorable!!!❤
