I get a lot of questions on how I design my room makeovers, so I wanted to put together a video that went from step 1 of the planning process all the way to the end! Thanks to Milanote for sponsoring this video! A while ago I discovered Notion via you. I keep almost my entire life in that app, it's great! But now I wonder if Milanote may work better for me, especially since I am renovating all rooms in our home and see several DIYers such as yourself use it.
@@rdb4996 I like using Notion for things like planning a trip, where a vertical list of mostly text makes sense 😄 For projects I think Milanote is great if you want something really visual and "spread out" to be able to see the big picture
I haven't watched the whole video yet, but I gotta say that this is one of the best ad-placements I've seen in a video! It makes so much sense and I get the feeling it's actually useful to you and your planning. I feel like I got a great tip instead of just watching an ad! Big kudos to you for that :)
You always have wonderful ideas you guys! I have tonfix my dining room so I really like the way you transformed the Ikea furniture !! That inspired me! Thank you!!!!🙏😊🥰
thank you. I'm really selective about the type of ads I put on my channel because I only want to show the things I love and I know you guys would as well! You saying that means a lot to me 😌❤️
Wow, I absolutely love the space you’ve created. I can’t even say which piece I like the most, because they are all so pretty. Can’t believe you found these candle sticks, absolutely beautiful. ❤
the makeover turned out really cozy and elegant. Good job to the both of you! I still can't get over how handy you are - you defy all the social norms about men being the handy-man around the house. Kudos to you Hilary! And thanks for the tip on using the app for collaboration - I can almost hear some older folks frowning out loud about how such tools are reducing the need for face to face communication but I think it's great that you've found a way to discuss about ID and choices, which for some couples could be grounds for serious disagreement. This way, things get decided upon in a very objective manner.
I feel happy when I get a notification that you have uploaded a new video 🥰😘😍. Thank you very much for uploading the video. Your videos fill me with so much positive energy 🍓♥️🥰😍😍🍓♥️🥰🍓🍓
Milanote looks great! It seems perfect for personal things such as wedding planning, but also for my work! Signed up right away - and I love your makeover as always! Your videos are always so calming and you actually have the skills to turn an (already nice) room into something even better! It is also so nice to have found such an "aesthetic" channel based in Germany, as that means I can get the items you mention if I want to
It is a very cozy living room! I love the combination of woods and plants. And wow the Besta cabinet hack is amazing. Also love the light 😍 both of you have a great taste👍
Such a lovely space. I love that you began with a desire to spend time with friends and family in your home. Your choices reflect that graciousness and spirit of hospitality. 🧡
Marvelous. I just had pleasure to watch someone work and also fascinated that stores where you live give paint cards. I have a tip for you- paint walls from top to bottom from one side to the other. take a lot of paint on a roller and spread it all over a narrow part of the surface ( maybe 50 - 70cm wide or so, depends on your roller really and how fast you can work), then start rolling it in all the way up and down. When paint gets slightly tacky ( you will understand after a few rolls) finish it, check if any imperfections, then take more paint to the next part of the wall right next to the previous part and repeat the process again. The wall will be one uniform equal everywhere color at the end. I just painted my room like this and there is no difference with what professionals did 5 years ago.
WHAT THE? OMG. That tool is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. AND IT'S FREE?? NO WAY! Thank you! I'm subscribed! And, I haven't even finished the video yet. I'm already so inspired!
I love the relaxed feel of this room and it really comes into its own at night. The Ikea hack worked so well and the completed unit is a perfect focal point for the space.
so so pretty and peaceful. using paint to separate the kitchen is a great idea! I am going to paint part of my living room to designate a place for my dining area. Thank you for this idea. I have been missing new videos from you, just thought about you yesterday and this video popped up today... yay!! please share what you are doing to the rest of your home!! Cloudy Hills is a must have!!!💖💖💖💖😘
I recently bought similar white cabinet from ikea. But unfortunately it can't take too many products. It is not that durable as ikea claims. But few years back I bought similar kind of cabinet from Amazon. It is not that good looking but holds heavy products. So I changed its colour into a distressed wooden blue. Before buying anything from ikea do keep in mind what you are using for. But your room makeover is just wow🥰
Your style is literally everything I love. I always say whenever it's my turn to finally decorate a place I love, your video's will be the inspiration!
i love the spaces you create, but i think this is my favourite one so far. it's so calming and welcoming. just so beautiful :) your ikea hack looks sooo good too :)
I've seen other RU-vidrs talk about Milanote before, but for some reason when I saw you use it, I actually want to get it now!! You made it look so cool & simple to use! I loved all of the little features that you showed and I didn't even know it was free to use!? Thank you!! 😘
I’ve seen many Milanote adds at this point (I really love interior design😅), but you showed features I didn’t even know it had! Now I think I really want to try it, especially for my freelance work to show things to clients (for small business branding). Thank you for that💕
I’m a new subscriber and fan, you have such talent (in decorating, organization, creating/building things, video editing… I could go on)! This dining room is so beautiful and has a wonderfully calming vibe. I love the paint color you chose (I don’t speak German, so I don’t know the name), but most especially, I love love LOVE your Besta hanging cabinet design hack - it is GORGEOUS, and I want it for myself! 😍 I will be showing this to my husband to see if he/we can copy it someday. Thank you for sharing your awesome ideas!
When you do a make over you always come up with the best designs! It's came out beautifully, as always. Enjoy watching your make overs, hope there will be many to come ;)
amazing! you both make it look so easy, though we know a lot of prep & sweat went into it. your channel definitely makes it more achievable. love the videos. keep ‘em coming.
I wondered, in a previous video you made, what was the app you used for your vision boards and ideas/inspiration, since I really liked the aesthetic and it seemed so useful! Now I finally know 🤗 Thanks for sharing, will definitely be using it!
In my experience, ZZ plant and snakeplants have been the easiest to care for - not much light or watering needed! Mine are in low light conditions and I water them about once every 2 weeks in summer and 4 weeks in winter :)
Yehey! New upload 🎉✨ you planned and designed like a pro! Very beautiful project. My favorite detail is the photo frame next to the house figurines. 🌼💕
Hi ! 🖐 Felt in love with your video within literaly 10 seconds ! The mood, the vibes, so peaceful and pleasant to watch ! 💕💕 i subscribed right after !
I wasn't sure about the wall colour, I thought it looked more."muddy" but at night it looks even better. A beautiful room :) I'm looking forward to spending a few days on the Milanote visual organising tool. Such a great find & thank you for sharing! I can finally organise the chaos that is bookmarks, notes and photos saved... and not just on my devices.
To be honest I was worried about it as I was painting because it was such a muddy gray, but I knew that this paint always dries lighter and softer! Luckily it worked out 😄
Milanote seems to be an interesting organization tool, I especially need it for matching colors and making notes. So far, I just imagined everything in my mind and that led to a lot of trial and error, which could be at some point frustrating.😅 Love your minimalistic but cozy outcome!💖
My god, I really think is the BEST makeover you guys ever made. I think it is classy but comfy. I particularly like the besta DIY and the chairs! Congrats, really. P.D. be aware of some plants you put in the windows because may not tolerate direct sunlight!
OMG Milanote is such a perfect tool! Thank you for sharing it! I used to save everything on amazon wish list but this is so so much better! And so simple to use! Also the living room turned out so cozy! I wish I could have some tea with you there. Absolutely love your style!
Loved the interior design. The gold frame picture on the wall looks dated for me though. It reminds me of the frame that all my friend's parents had on their walls growing up in the 80s. Although I see that it matches other items in the room tying them together. A different tone maybe? Just a thought.
I think it's just me (perhaps a little maniac) but I would definitely go a little crazy while vacuuming the space with the curtains being so long (not to mention mopping 😆). Will definitely go try milanote after this! Thanks for the video 😊
