“Je t’aime patate” is a line from Paul Rudd’s 2001 movie “The château”. He plays an American who came to France with his brother to claim the chateau they inherited. If I recall correctly, his character, Graham, was eating a meal and meant to say he loved potatoes but ended up saying “l love you, silly” instead.

Paul Rudd's kidneys shutdown that day and he has been on dialysis ever since. True story.
