I saw both DEH and Falsettos, and, as much as I love Rachel Bay Jones, I think Stephanie deserved the Tony hands down. Her "I'm Breaking Down" number was phenomenal. I didn't think Heidi Hansen was that strong a role compared to Trina. However, I'm really glad Gavin Creel won a Tony. It was high time he did. I'm sure Brandon and Andrew will get one soon. Also.... what do they say when they drink???? That word starting with D?
I could watch a weekly series of the cast of Falsettos meeting up at restaurants, each other's homes, park benches, etc. and talking for a half hour about any and everything.
I love how Andrew, Steph, Christian, & Brandon all go, "Saffron honey?" in complete unison. You can actually see in every thing they do together how completely in love with each other they've all fallen. Also Jenn is the icing on the cake to this & the perfect addition that I didn't consciously realize I so needed.
This is such a perfect example of just how fast theatre people can create inside jokes. Spend like 10 minutes with another theatre person and there will be AT LEAST one thing the two of you will find funny forever, and everyone around will think you’re lunatics.
Allison Bergh legit last year in a midsummer night’s dream my cast and i made two stupid jokes during tech week and immediately they became random in jokes that we repeat during every rehearsal

So I've watched this so many times already but today has special meaning because I MET STEPHANIE yesterday!!! she was everything I could have hoped, she was so sweet and took the time to see everyone who was waiting, and I walked away and cried but I still can't fully believe it happened. What Jen said about her being beloved and an extraordinary leader couldn't be more true
If I was on camera I would eat a burger with a knife and fork as well. Nobody wants the screen cap going around if you stuffing a giant sandwich in your mouth.
