Charles Eames once said that the role of the designer is essentially that of a good host, anticipating the needs of the guest. Probably no clip resonates more with that message than this charming excerpt from their multi-screen presentation at the New York World's Fair. After a detailed exploration of problem solving at the level of urban planning, the Eameses demonstrate that it is fundamentally similar to what we do in our everyday lives.
