@ashleyallen9967 Год назад
Yes, it was pretty funny. But, you’re not from America, are you? Lol. We have many different ways of speaking/accents. There’s the southern accent, like Will did (but he did an extreme version). That is just a handful of states outta 50!! We have the New Yorker accent (that also applies to states surrounding NY). We have the “uneducated” accent. The bougie accent (has $$ and speaks as such). Chicago accent. The Northern accent (normal, to me). Etc.. and that’s just in English. The US is a melting pot of different races, religions, cultures, etc.. So you have to take that into consideration too. And then the African American people who have their own accent. There’s soo many ways of speaking in the US. So them saying all white people eat and talk that way, just isn’t correct…or rational.

My mom says “with salt and pepper” when she’s making certain foods. THANKFULLY, my dad has a flavor palette like mine…needs A LOT MORE than just salt & pepper!! And thankfully my hubby is the cook in our home. AND HE. CAN. COOK. He uses MANY spices and seasonings and uses many different methods of cooking. I’m white btw and live in the US. MOST of us don’t speak like that, nor do we just use “salt & pepper” to season our foods. Many families are like my family I have with my hubby. But some do cook the way he was saying. Mainly older generations. Thank goodness, more and more families are breaking the mold of just using salt and pepper.

Meatloaf and mashed potatoes are considered comfort foods. They are eaten in many households, including African American. And it's a meal many eat regardless of what part of the USA they live. It's easy and inexpensive to make. There are many variations of meatloaf and mashed potatoes. The meatloaf can be a cold sandwich for lunch the next day. Makes great leftovers. I prefer mac and cheese with my meatloaf. I have even ordered it at Cracker Barrel. Lol
